"our very friendly and jovial host recommended some dishes for us that we never had before and were sure that they would be gluten-free. I think there were 67 chickens and a lamb dish, a sweet dish of cauliflower and cheeked, and a pilaureis. Anyway, it was nice; a little too spicy for woman w. most importantly it was gluten-free as promised. very quiet on a Thursday evening, but so it was different from the pubs everywhere."

"Busy restaurant and a disappointing start ending up at the worst table in the restaurant beside the hatch where all the dirty dishes are dumped. If booking I would suggest adding a note not to get this table for dinner. 2 steak meals were warm at best and despite being sent back only the plate came back with more heat. One other meal was good and enjoyable. Great server who was helpful and tried to negotiate an adjustment to the bill at the end of the meal which started off with an odd suggestion for a reduction to the overall cost but we got there in the end. No discussion with management, who didn't seem to want to deal with any difficult conversation, but the bill outcome and complimentary round of drinks helped with a disappointing visit. Staff serving tables were great and to be commended for taking on responsibility that would I would have suggested should have been handled by the duty manager."

"was back in helensburgh for the day to see my mother and dad. we decided to have a nice day and enjoyed the suns we would go for a meal in the new restaurant. when we were a party of 3, I couldn't book a table, so it was about the house, but it wasn't a problem at all, as we sat with menus within minutes after arrival. overall it was very nice. long the drunken memories of the river bank and instead an authentic, lively and very classic Italian bistro restaurant. it was beautifully designed, restored to the original features of the building. I also loved the big wood stove on the full view to see her pizza cook. the staff was friendly and very friendly, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the food was fresh and very tasty. the menu is small and perfectly shaped and there was nothing that I would not like to eat, at the end enjoyed my parents 2 of the Risotto dishes and I had pizza, all were freshly cooked to order that was made for an excellent meal and the gelato for pudding was beautiful. my father was also very pleased to see one of his favorite Italian red wines on the menu (he is a massive weinbuff) and used as I was the named driver. great end on a sunny day and would really recommend. x"

"while you could eat decent, their attitude is not. I don't think they appreciate Indians coming into their restaurant. sat with my man for dinner and was received colder than anywhere in Britain. it would have been okay if they didn't know much about customer service or weren't polite. but what was discouraging was that they visited all the other guests (from different nationalities) in their restaurant with a lot of warmth and regularly checked for their experience, while we feel unintentional during our short stay there for dinner. even after the question, they have not proposed anything to us in proportions or orders. if we needed something and our hand raised, they would just look away. So if they are Indians, they must skip this place completely. there are many possibilities close to, and even if eating there is half good, at least they will treat them with more respect."

"had a bad experience. very nice amount and staff, but the food and waiting time was very bad. She was for a mother's day. a few basic elements on a small menu were not available, no big thing, as it was a busy day for them. they told us that eating would take a long time, so a bowl of brot would have given up what was a bit cheeky! and after that we had to play them. burger came without the half of the garnish and it was very cut. Sunday roast was bad, my daughter meat was good, but my wife was full of gristle and inedible (because she saw her in the night, was very disappointing also if she wanted that tante bessie’s precooked kartoffels from the super market I am sure we did not go to a restaurant to eat her! on the top was the lobster of my sohnes good (he has expensive taste directions) for meal times of very average bad quality and no offer of any recompense for a long waiting period and a bad meal is not the sign of a healthy restaurant. oh, and the male toilets were in a disgusting condition!"
