"I have been to signor sassi's Bangkok branch but never to the london one. The aroma here is everything you would wish for in an Italian restaurant. I went there on a Friday and I don't think you SHOULD reserve a table because the restaurant is quite big. The service there is fantastic and the food was good. The fried calamari was crispy and the sauce that it accompanied with was outstanding. The truffled mash potato was the highlight of our meal. The truffle's taste was so strong and I LOVED IT!! "A fabulous Italian restaurant great atmosphere, fabulous service and food, and lovely staff. A group of six of us had dinner there on Saturday night after seeing Abba Voyage and when the staff heard where we had been they put Abba music on! It was my birthday and although no one in our party had told the staff they overheard us talking and made my dessert extra special with a huge sparkler. We had a great night and will definitely go back."

"Our third time at La Lanterna, it’s reputation for the best Italian Restaurant in Glasgow is well deserved. The food is superb and authentically cooked and presented by wonderful and friendly Italian staff, who know their dishes and are proud of the quality of the food they serve you. Fantastic wine list with lovely Pinot Grigio, Trentino and Sicilian Grillo whites, being our favourites, but there are dozens more of all types, reasonably priced. The dishes from the wonderfully light dipping bread, crispy arrancini and mouthwatering scallop starters, followed by veal Milanese with wild mushroom tagliatelle and my wife’s rich flavour packed lasagne were fantastic. I had the Zabaglione alla Marsala which was a revelation and is now favourite dessert!, my wife had the chefs special chocolate mousse which was so light and melted in your mouth, gorgeous. All of this delicious food was helped along with a bottle Grillo too. Not cheap, but I think very reasonably priced for the high standard of the meal and service from the staff and chefs. Quality is not expensive, it’s priceless! We will definitely return. Outstanding Italian restaurant."

"The food was beautifully presented, as always. Our starter arrived at the right time, but we experienced a nearly 25-minute wait for our main course, and no explanation was given for the delay. Larger tables of four were served their starters, mains, and desserts after we had our starter but before we received our main dish. We didn’t receive any updates during this time. While the restaurant was busy (which is great for them given the current climate), there were moments when social distancing wasn’t maintained, making it feel a bit cramped. I will return because I enjoy the restaurant and the food, but it's clear that some improvements are needed to ensure that the focus on profit doesn’t compromise good service, as well as the safety and comfort of both staff and customers."

"My family and I dined at this restaurant on Saturday, July 28th. We had 6 adults, a five-year-old, and a baby with us. This restaurant is local to us and we are familiar with it. It has a warm family atmosphere that is busy but not overly loud, with friendly staff who are attentive and cheerful without being pushy. The service is good even when it's busy, and the owner is very hands-on and greets everyone. We enjoyed a delicious rioja wine, along with tasty house wines. The starters, pizzas, and pasta were excellent and reasonably priced. The mains and specials, on the other hand, were a bit overpriced and the portions were small, although flavorful. Two in our group found them disappointing. Our pizza, the Anacapri, was a bit lackluster, undercooked, and bland, which is unusual as they are usually good. Nonetheless, it didn't ruin our evening, and we all had a good time, especially the kids. The staff didn't mind the children walking about and they even received special attention."

"We dined here on holidays since the hotel was really close by. The food was amazing, plentiful and delicious. Service was nice and prompt. However the location has some challenges and it almost looked like the restaurant was closed due to the lighting conditions and this is not very inviting."

"If you just want a quick bite before a theatre production then Limoncello is perfect. The Service was ok but lacked any interaction or warmth, it was literally brought and taken away plates. We asked for water, we were given warm tap water with no ice which was not the nicest tasting. We ordered a garlic bread with cheese that arrived resembling more like charcoal around the edges. It was completely burnt and obviously so. I was surprised that they would serve that. I did not complain but simply ate the middle bit and left the rest. The pizza I had was delicious. If like me, you like dessert, then I am afraid this is not the place for you. We asked for the dessert menu and were told flatly that they do not do dessert otherwise they would have offered a menu. With that, we paid and left feeling a little but short-changed. It was an experience but we will not be returning for another."

One of the male servers (with the request that I did not recognize his name, but we were here at 6-8 pm on 19 Feb. was very kind to realize that it was my son's birthday and he arranged the ice with candle above and sang birthday song to him along with other servers. "This is the finest Italian dining experiences I have ever had. Before I mention anything about the food, the service provided by Dina was incredible. I felt as if she treated us like old friends and nothing was too much to ask for. Thank you!...Her colleagues were also great hosts. The menu itself offers an excellent variety of dishes, many staples of Italian cuisine like Carbonara but also many unique dishes. "The restaurant was not open for our 7am breakfast reservation despite accepting our reservation via Open Table and having an opening time of 6am. We were traveling and needed to be assured a hot meal at an early hour, and Milano never contacted us to cancel the reservation or apologize for not being open when it was supposed to be. Its website also does not have an email address so you can only contact it via phone which doesn't work to alert management to a problem when the restaurant is closed. Very disappointing."
