"On arrival the staff where lovely , we ordered our meal . The lasagne sounded good so both ordered the same. What a disappointment, it was stodgy and too much tomato , hardly any cheese. I have never left a lasagne but could only manage...half of it , as did my friend. and that was a struggle. It reminded me of a cheap lasagne from a bargain supermarket or school meals , the worst I have ever had.! Even the garlic bread was very dry, so we thought the pudding would be better , creme anglaise was curdles and hard ... I left half of it .. my friend left all of hers as it was just tasteless, and slightly frozen .. sad because we used to love this restaurant , wont be going back for a long time ."

"We were truly impressed by our experience at the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm smiles and asked if we needed vegetarian, gluten-free, or any special menus. They also offered us the option to have a drink at the bar or go straight to our table. Our coats were promptly taken to the coat room, and our drink orders were immediately taken. The waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu; when I mentioned the ingredients of a cocktail I had found online, he instantly recognized it. The service continued to be exceptional throughout our visit. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and exactly as described on the menu. The portions were generous, leaving no room for disappointment. We truly couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely return. The manager, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, was a true asset to the establishment."

"Great pizza. As you can see from the menu, you can choose between two types of dinner: the first, 'pizza profile', is the classic Neapolitan pizza, with a slightly high soft crust. You can start with three types of bases (classic margherita, base with just tomato, or base with just mozzarella) and then add toppings with an additional cost on top of the base price; the second option is the pizza sharing mode where you can choose 2 pizzas (18/20 cm) to share with friends, and in this mode you cannot add additional toppings to the pizzas on the menu. Excellent location, practically behind the Duomo. The staff is courteous and always on point. I recommend making a reservation on weekends as it can get busy."

"We were pleased to find this place, and the food was great, the service warm and welcoming, with a decent wine list. But we won 't be back. Our starters mozzarella in carrozza, and sea scallops with pancetta, were superb, and portions were much larger than we 'd expected! We both had the 'special ' lemon sole, which was perfect. No space for desserts. We would 've stayed for coffee and grappas, but by that time, we 'd looked up the meaning of the word figa . I can 't give it, here you 'll have to look it up for yourselves. Just to say, there 's no pun, no witty wordplay; it 's simply a boorish and offensive term for part of a woman 's body. I 'd suggest a rebranding fast."

"This new restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere right from the entrance. The menu is impressive, and the staff are all very friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure guests feel comfortable. "Visited with friends and was off to a bad start immediately. We had to request water for the table 4 times before it arrived. Service was very slow. Starters arrived and I enjoyed it, when mains arrived my carbonara had curdled, I tried to eat it but when mixing it up it there was so much oil under the pasta it made it very sickly. Another meal was inedible and returned with no offer of a replacement or alternative. Despite there being 90% of my food left they did not ask if everything was ok. When the bill arrived they had no removed the main that was returned and not eaten. When questioned the staff member was very rude. A manager came over as didn’t want to remove the service charge but then agreed to remove both mains that were not eaten. What annoyed me is the manager tried to say the rude staff member did not know as he was Ukrainian, then tried to guilt us into not removing the service charge by saying he was a University Professor and it is very sad….that has nothing to do with the quality of the food and his on point attitude that was clearly no language barrier. We will never return."

"Fantastic experience on a very busy day We booked for Christmas Eve a table for 10 and we wanted to be in the conservatory They never promised but we ended up in there Service was impeccable friendly helpful fantastic to say they were very busy Food was hot and fabulous we had pasta and a fillet steak for 2 can’t fault it Even tho my meal was a little late I never really minded as the atmosphere was so good and it was complimentary after being late So pleased it made our family day thank you"

"The staff were really well prepared for the reopening. Our waiter could not have been more helpful. He even showed us how to claim our free drink on the app. The food, drink and music were perfect. Sadly because we knew cash wouldn’t be accepted we took none and there was no way for us to tip the waiter via the app or card machine! They will accept cash for tips so I’d be prepared next time as they really deserved it!"

"I went to this restaurant when my in laws were in town that is their go to place for dining experience in Edinburgh. I was not disappointed. It was a lovely decor and absolutely delicious food They ordered some appetisers and I had a bite of each, which were good. Then we ordered the mains and everyone was delighted. I can only recommend the cannelloni with spinach and ricotta, so delicious The one thing I would say is that we felt a bit pressured to order more drinks or to order appetisers, which I didn't like. "The service was quick and efficient. The lattes (as seen in the photos) were not only delicious but also visually appealing, accompanied by a lovely baked treat that was well worth the £4. We had a bottle of wonderful Gavi di Gavi and lovely friendly knowledgeable service. Will definitely return, its years since i ate here and its still so good. Highly recommend"

"Upon our arrival, it seemed that there was no reservation made. The restaurant explained that they were experiencing issues with OpenTable. This was not a promising beginning. I decided to order a pizza, only to find out that they were out of a key ingredient, so that option was unavailable. Why wasn't I informed of this before I even looked at the menu? The service was sluggish, as I ordered a glass of wine to enjoy with my pizza, but it didn't arrive until after I had finished eating. Thankfully, we weren't pressed for time."

"We chose this restaurant because it was the only one in the Plaza that didn't send someone to wake you up to walk in. "We went to dinner on Friday after work with friends. At first, we thought it was pretty quiet for a Friday night, but the atmosphere picked up. The ambiance was lovely, very cozy and intimate, and the waiter who served us was very friendly, not intrusive but informative when needed. For starters, we all had a variety of dishes: pate della casa, antipasto della casa, salad, and eggplant parmigiana. For mains, we had a T-bone steak, classic pasta dish, and a delicious chicken romano dish. Overall, we were satisfied with our meals, the seasoning, and the flavors were great. However, my friends who had the steak were not overly impressed. They felt that the texture of the meat suggested it might have been frozen at some point, rather than fresh. Despite this, we had a nice dining experience and would consider coming back. Next time, we may stick to the authentic Italian dishes as this is an Italian restaurant, and they do them very well."

"We arranged to have a celebration meal for my sons birthday. We obviously wanted to make a fuss over him turning 9. I arranged it when we originally booked and also spoke to the waitress who took our order and delivered our first 2 courses on two occasions. She even took a note of my sons details but then nothing ever happened. Will probably head back for a meal at some point. But feel a bit frustrated over how much we paid with very little back. Only 2 adults one child and a toddler. Now we're home I feel I could have better spent the money on something else. Bit of an anti climax to our afternoon/ evening."

"as soon as they enter the restaurant, they feel the warmth of the server. Before I commented on their dishes, I would like to say that the server were exceptional! they were very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and more. our experience here was much better because of the staff. for eating! I have eaten a lot of authentic Italian food, and la galleria sits right on the zaun of authenticity. the dishes we ate were delicious in view of the price, but if authentic Italian cuisine is what they are looking for, they could be a bit disappointed here. only light. I'd eat here again!"
