"Terrible service, place is dirty, table was sticky. Asked staff to clean the table again cause the table was sticky. Got handed extra napkins to clean ourselves. Ordered sauces to go with our BBQ. Had to remind the server 3 times. It wasn't even busy. Ordered beef slices, got super fatty cuts to the point there was basically no meat. Seats were all run down and covers were all falling apart. Our grill was not changed once during the hour we were BBQing. For a table of 2 we paid close to 100 pounds and for that money a better food and experience can easily be had elsewhere. For a Japanese restaurant the lack of attention to detail was simply shocking. Would not recommend."

"my own and my partner came to visit nc on the 30th juni I am unbearable both for gluten and soy, and had no Chinese food in the longest time. I had heard a lot of that she was fantastic for gluten-free, but I was really worried about my soy problems. they were absolutely out of this world, the personal was so knowledgeable and left me completely loose, and I could eat all my favorite Chinese dishes that tasted just as well if not better than I remember. they are amazing. I wish I would live closer so that I could visit every weekend! and my friend who can eat anything really enjoyed it. fantastic place. well done!"

"I had a great time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was excellent, and they had a wonderful variety of American whiskies. I found the prices to be very reasonable, especially considering the location. The only downside was the food, which was still quite good, but not perfect. It arrived unusually quickly after ordering, with some of the meat tasting dry and the corn muffin also being a bit dry. The BBQ overall was tasty and good, so I would still recommend this restaurant to others, although I have had better BBQ elsewhere."

"Came here with two friends, my wife, and our two children. Walked in, were taken around back to near where the front door was (so we were pretty cold all the way through). The server (obviously new) originally tried to put us all on what looked like a huge workbench but his supervisor corrected the mistake. After my wife asked for a straw for her pint of coke, he came back with a small cocktail straw, which was no use to anyone. We came here on a Sunday so had the roast menu (after initially being given the wrong menu and having to ask for the right one). I had the pork belly, which included two razor thin slices that looked boiled, a 50p-sized little lump of stuffing, and crackling that looked like it had come from a packet and had been left out for hours (chewy as hell; couldn't eat it). The veg (2 carrots and some shredded cabbage) and Yorkshire pudding were edible at least. This single meal costs £14... £14!!! We'd have gotten better quality at a Toby Carvery for a fraction of the cost!!! There's no excuse for such poor quality when there's like 5 items on the menu. Not only that, they add on a service charge to boot! The only positives from the experience was that they got our order right and the lady at reception (not even part of the restaurant) gave our children some colouring sheets and pencils. Other than that, it was awful and we won't be returning."

"Firstly, If I could give this no stars I would!! The man behind the counter was so friendly when we first approached but it was a bit too friendly, came across as quite desperate for customers (restaurant was empty) this should have been the first red flag! He kept pushing the bacon and avocado baguette and the garlic chips! We decided to stay to eat and my sister ordered the bacon and avocado baguette with garlic chips and I ordered the same baguette he was so pushy, do you want chips, “no” do you want coleslaw “no” I just want a baguette!! The tables were all sticky and clearly not wiped down for new customers. Inside was so dark and dingy so we moved tables to the outside area in the mall! The food arrived and it was an absolute disgrace! The baguette was as dry as a bone, no butter, the bacon was the pre packed already cooked nasty tasting stuff and we had 2 minuscule pieces of avocado inside not at all worth the nearly 10 quid we paid! I went inside to complain and ask for a refund and that’s when the very friendly guy turned really nasty, shouting and in our face, couldn’t believe it!! He was so rude telling me everything has gone up and that’s why he has to give so little inside the baguettes, he did refund us in the end but that is more because we were making a scene and quite frankly he was probably embarrassed of the food that came out of his restaurant (sorry cafe) if it is even worthy of calling itself that!! Honestly there are many other nice sandwich bars in Croydon you don’t need to put yourself through that!!"

"Website is deceiving, and does not show the reality. The website is beautifully designed, and visually opulent giving the impression of a large, plush interior. The menus included brunch, main, dessert and drinks. The actual restaurant is very small cafe, with extended outside seating, with a few staff members lounging around. Arriving for lunch at 12 noon, the whole place was empty, and booking was unnecessary. The staff were disinterested in our arrival. We had to seat ourselves. Seating was comfortable. When asking for a menu, were told to scan a QR code on the table, and when trying to order from the main menu, was told that only the brunch menu was available. The smoked salmon and scrambled egg dish was nicely done and tasty. The ice tea was overly sweet, but the coffee was decent. It was clearly a Muslim eating place, posing as an European restaurant, with the name 'Boulevard '. That Friday, a crowd of Muslim men from the nearby mosque in Regent 's Park came in after prayers. They were treated differently, excitedly welcomed. It was clearly their regular haunt. It felt like an eating place for Muslims, where non-Muslims were not particularly welcomed. However, the other customers were friendly, and more polite than the staff. It was quiet and easy to talk, until the crowd arrived. Overall, the price for the meal was not worth the experience of eating there. Service charge was included, although service was bad. We would not go back."

Overall, You Me Sushi used to be a great lunch option, but now I would recommend looking elsewhere for better quality sushi."

"When we arrived at 7.30pm, there were 4 people in the restaurant. It was empty. We got sat down and the waitress took our drinks order, staff very polite. The salad bar was horrid, The Bread was all dried hard, The roast potatoes were dried out and hard, The garlic mushrooms were all dried and formed a skin on top, they looked terrible. The black bean dish was not edible. We did complain and asked for fresh food as this was not edible. The staff were very apologetic and did make us fresh potatoes, etc, and did explain that because they were quiet it was not replenished. However the food which were out were not checked or stirred and should of been taken away binned. As this was our first time here and seeing all dried up food was not a good start. The meat selection was however good, and could not fault the times they were at our table, We had to slow down eating as we couldn't eat what we had before they were back around. As the staff were very friendly and really nice we paid the Service charge. But, Unfortunately we would not return."

"my daughter, I was looking for a delicious lunch we couldn't have better than koop! the food was so delicious, I had the carolina chicken on waffel, covered with maple syrup! so good! my daughter loved her children koop milkshake and burger! "My wife and I have been visiting smoke since it had opened and up until COVID, had always had a fantastic meal. Yesterday was our first trip in 18 months due to COVID and we were really looking forward to it. Wow how things have...changed. Firstly the service was poor. Before we had even ordered our drinks, we were approached twice by two different servers with drinks that were not ours. Then, when trying to order our food, our server turned to have a short conversation with another member of staff probably could have waited 30 seconds before doing that. Then our food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The usual thrice cooked chips had been replaced by what may well have been McCain's oven chips, no flavour to them what so ever. My wife's pulled pork was warm at best and the half rack of ribs I had barely had any meat on whatsoever. The sausage, however, was as good as I remember. Just after I had put the last fork full of food in my mouth, the server reappeared and whisked our plates away. We were in and out in half an hour and the whole thing just felt rushed not something you want whilst out for the evening. It's a shame, SMOKE used to be one of our favourites. But now it's nothing more than mediocre."

" this restaurant for a while now, but this was my first time dining in for lunch. The quality of the food was excellent, with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. "Small, intimate, professional and friendly. The best lamb ribs I've had in a long time.We did the set menu to share and was not disappointed. A selection of starters came out that could have been a feast on it's own. Then the choice of one main. My rice, ribs and salad tasted very good. "I usually don't want to comment on the meal times with the finish, as I know how unfair it is to compare them with table served options. but I feel at this opportunity to write a review. the photo below is from a large moussaka will make it clear that this meal came with a part of rice in a somewhat smaller container (so it is only the moussaka on its own faust), but I must admit that I was extremely disappointed by its presentation, the portion size (I am willing to think how a small moussaka would look), and its taste. I have really bought larger, more attractive and much more tastier moussakas in ready meal form. I do not expect meelin standard presentation from one take away, but on all elements, I feel evaporated. his clear prints the limits of creative licensing to describe the part so big, the taste ok, nothing wrong, but it felt in anyway not authentic and more surprising it certainly not taste fresh (that look and taste felt like yesterday's rest). I can't comment on the rice, it was nothing but an Indian farewell pleasant enough. I wish I had eaten in the restaurant, because I would have complained if that was before me."

"Order was Half an hour later than estimated delivery time. When trying to call them it doesn’t ring and just puts you through to voicemail and hangs up. At this point we had already given up waiting and calling so we were brushing our teeth for bed when it arrived. When the food did finally arrive, this was cold and we were disappointed at the quality of the chips. The halloumi fries are a different level of sadness, how they can call this halloumi is beyond me. They were basically rubber chips. Please see image attached. The cheeseburgers were alright which is why I have given 1 stars and not 0. Will not be ordering again. Very sad end to what was a great night. Please avoid at all costs or prepare for utter disappointment."
