"We had a lovely meal here on Sunday 2nd Jan. As with everywhere else it was very quiet and we seemed to be the first ones in. The food was tasty, and not over salty or oily like some others. I had the lamb shatkora, with a deliciously citrussy sauce that went well with the sweet butternut squash side dish (not seen that in any other curry house). Other dishes had nice big chunks of paneer. Service was polite and friendly. Recent poor reviews seem to be mostly about delivery services and were a bit offputting, but the food and staff were absolutely fine. Might be my new favourite Indian restaurant."

"I visited this restaurant regularly until Christmas 2021. this was my first visit this year and the property has changed again! in the front part of the restaurant were three lights turned on, the light was bad, the heating was...ab and there was no music at all. the waiter' had difficultities in the first part of my order for 2 plain and 2 spicy poppadome and a bottle cobra, after several repeated accusations he finally got it right, except to try to give me 2 bottles cobra at the same time. I decided to skip the starter and chicken jalfrezi mushroom rice and okra ordered. the food came, but the waiter treated the plate with bare hands and not covered with a served cloth, while he got the food I used my bag sanitiser to wipe the plate where he put his thumb. the chicken was tasteless and was possibly boiled, in which the whole meal was tasteless. I paid the bill and went around 9.45 clock within about 1 minute of my leave the restaurant closed and the roller shutters were closed. this was a Saturday night and it seemed that I had been their only eating in the customer. I don't think they'll survive much longer. a great scandal that a beautiful restaurant with a hygiene rating of 5 seems to be on the way last year."

"This was our first visit to this restaurant which is about 5 minutes walk from Chatham Station. There is a varied menu and plenty of vegetarian, fish and meat options. We had difficulty in making our choices, but the waitress made recommendations. The food was delicious and the portions were generous and it was excellent value. Staff were very friendly and the service was very good."

"we just finished our meal (we had a lie because the portions were generous! and it was incredible! as it is a bank holiday, delivery was fast and contactless, as desired. my man called when I'm free of milk and they were so helpful by being over the ones of my favourite dishes free of milk and finding close alternatives for others. it was without doubt the most tasty and softest beautiful lamb I've ever eaten. would definitely recommend and we will order again. Thank you!"

"Ordered two fish and chips by phone. One for me, one for my brother...OH MY GOD! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I very rarely finish the chips, they're usually cold and taste awful but these ones were fantastic and I can't believe I ate them all. Will definitely be going back here. "Oh my goodness! I don't even know where to begin with this place.. without a doubt, Bangla Kitchen has the worst takeaway food I have ever had and the customer service we experienced this evening was so terrible, it almost seemed like a joke. First of all, the food was so greasy that it was literally dripping out of the foil wraps. Secondly, when we checked our order, we realized that it was incorrect and parts of it were missing. And the parts that were correct were just awful - the meat was dry, there was a butter wrapper left inside the naan bread, and the tikka masala tasted completely different than usual, almost like something from a jar. When we contacted the restaurant to complain, we were met with a yelling, angry man on the phone who offered no apology and continued to shout at us. I was speechless. In conclusion, if you're looking for delicious Indian food with great customer service, definitely steer clear of Bangla Kitchen. I will never order from there again and would advise others to do the same."

"I visited recently with my sister and we were both very impressed. I had curry and my sister had ravioli, both meals were excellent! There is something for everyone including loads of choice for vegetarians. They also serve some yummy cocktails. The staff were really welcoming and attentive. Absolutely can't fault this place and highly recommend it."

"Return visit here while staying in St Andrews. Luvly welcome from staff. Ordered a luvly bottle of house wine Enjoyed pops and 4 chutneys all very tasty. Ordered a mixed starter to share Then a chicken balti tikka, and a maisha special curry, with a mushroom rice to share, a chapati. and a cheese and garlic naan. "Ordered through Just Eat. Customer service was excellent, a member of staff called me on mobile to confirm the delivery address and order which was nice. The delivery man (just eat) was very friendly and professional the food arrived bang on time. I had a lamb Madras, garlic naan keema rice. The meal also came with a free popadom which was nice of them. The Madras was really nice, it was very well balanced for herbs and spices and there was a good amount of lamb which tasted fresh and of a good quality. For my personal preference, the Madras could of been a bit 'hotter ' but of course every restaurant has their own way of making these curries and it was still a great, lots of sauce too which was also good. The naan was good too, a nice size and it actually tasted of garlic. The keema rice however didn 't do it for me, it just didn 't look right, it was quite pale coloured and the mince was a grey sort of colour, it was quite different to other keema rice dishes I 've had. However I can 't complain too much, the meal was excellent value and the staff were great too, plus not everything can be as dine in quality due to the restrictions of course so don 't judge them just for an ok rice dish. The rest of the meal was brilliant. Also the popadom tasted fresh and full of flavour and crunch, I have to say it was probably the best popadom I 've had. So 1) excellent, polite, personal customer service. 2) great service from 'Just Eat ' delivery staff. 3) great quality meal, especially for the price paid. 4) brilliant value for money. 5) most importantly it tasted fresh. "fantastic family run indians with delicious food. Last time I visited, we started with some samosas and mixed kebab. the meat on the kebab was perfectly cooked and fell practically from the spits – delicious! for the main I went for chicken korma, while my friend went for lamb jalfrezi – we decided to do the half. for the accompaniment we have rice and a peshwari nan. the chicken corma was nice creamy, although had a amount sauce to huhn ratio. the jalfrezi was also very tasty and had a nice but not too powerful kick, the lamb was very delicate and nan were also delicious. the personal is always very friendly and happy to give them some recommendations if they are not sure what to order. priced it is very reasonable and if they are happy enough to be still student, they do student discounts."

"i would really advise strongly against using the services of this restaurant .ive used them three times and never again. im an experienced waiter of many years standing and have never and would never give such bad service to a customer or i wouldnt have a job.my first time ordering a received a call after some time asking to come down to a car to pick up my food.i informed the driver to ring my bell(i live in a house)and bring my food to me.he then buzzed my bell and came up the stairs huffing and puffing as if i was putting him out.he obviously doesn't understand what delivery means.he was so miserable i was really worried that my food could have been maliciously interfered with.i went through the same experience twice more although i always tipped him.i went to order again and was told we dont deliver to you anymore .use uber eats and the phone was dropped twice on me.this is so shocking im enraged and words fail me that this kind of attitude happens in the uk.if your driver doesent want to deliver get on that does want to.these points have already been covered in many other reviews,very negative experience and just generally very unpleasant.thank god there many other restaurants in the area ,so i dont have to give support to such unprofessional outfits"

"Have wanted to try this takeaway for a couple of years due to good reviews and a love of spicy food. So finally ordered online last night. Went for the set meal for two consisting of Poppadoms and chutney, two pakoras, salad, two mains with...rice and nan. Had the Himalayan Lamb and Hot Khathmandu Chicken for mains and it was delicious. Everything was cooked really well. Normally with a takeaway you have to re-heat the mains if you eat the starter separately but not in this case, it was all piping hot. Only very slight criticism was too much rice and a plain nan instead of peshwari or keema, but overall an excellent meal. Well worth a try."

"First off, going to the premises to collect my meal was promising, you can see the food being cooked, so that tells me they have nothing to hide and I was confident with the cleanliness of what I could see. The employees were polite with a friendly face and there were comfortable sofas to sit and wait on. The meal itself was absolutely beautiful. My favourite item was the veg samosas, definitely the best I’ve ever had. The popodums were melt in your mouth. I ordered a little side curry because I prefer to eat my curry with naan and popodums dipped in it/ scooped on top of the piece of naan/popodum rather than the usual rice and dump the sauce on it. I did have a rice as well though, don’t see many places offer garlic rice so I decided to try- again, flawless. I definitely recommend and will be back."

"forget the decoration, everything about eating. the best lamm karahi in glasgow there is no doubt about it and that with the best in Scotland. it is really hard to get a better tasting curry full hold. freshly made, fresh nan and red. taste and taste were divine. When I got through, I made a point to come back. overpriced restaurants could learn something or two from these youngs. service with a smile, also had the huh tikka, which is delicious. recommended and five stars all over the way. If I'm ever up the neck of the forest, this place is saved in my favorites."
