"The menu is great, good prices and lots to choose from.The desserts were also very good. Sadly that was our only positive. My steak was freezing cold, fries were hot so that was a bonus. The whole place was freezing, we all ate with our coats on. We received the bill and noticed the 20% discount for January hadn 't been applied. When we raised this he said well you didn 't ask for it and he then applied it begrudgingly. Their Facebook posts advertising the deal make no mention of needing to mention the discount, check your bills before paying!!!"

"Living locally I was looking forward to eating here for the first time. Overall everything scored highly, the experience was just a bit let down by the service. Everybody working was extremely polite and I appreciate the restaurant was busy but my friend and I waited an hour for a burger and fries each. I’ve no problem waiting, and thankfully the food tasted great but it would be nice to be checked on once or twice or at least acknowledged that there was a bit of a wait. Just a bit more attention to waiting customers and a bit more urgency is needed and it would have been perfect. I’ll be attending again soon so hopefully it was just a one off."

"Two of us were visiting Cambridge and needed somewhere to have dinner. There are lots of halal restaurants down Mill Road, and most of them were full and weren’t taking in ‘off the street’ custom. We had originally walked past Cambridge Gourmet Grill as it was the only restaurant not full of people enjoying their food, in fact it was empty there must be something wrong with the food or the place itself, right? Anyway, with no other choice, we went in. First impressions the environment was clean, simple and looked new., the music was soft an unobtrusive. The bathroom was very clean too and actually has scent for you to use! As for the food, we’ll we ordered BBQ wings followed by Nihari with naan. A bit of an eclectic choice perhaps, I must say we were both very impressed the wings were tangy with just enough spiciness, and the Nihari was rich and tasty. During our meal I noticed lots of people out and about on the street, a more than a few of them stopped to read the menu , but unbelievably, no one else came into the restaurant while we were there and this was a Friday night! I’m not easily impressed, but I would highly recommend CGG to anyone looking for tasty Indian/Pakistani food in a nice, quiet atmosphere."

"my friends and I enjoyed the 3-course party set menu 21.5) and it is certainly a good example for Mediterranean cuisine for a beginner I had the supposed fresh king skallops', served in a citrus juice. a bit cheesy, but definitiw a good choice for the starter. for my main course I decided for the restaurants recommended underwriting court, confit lamb. the lamb is slowly boiled and then pressed into a cylindrical shape. the meat melts on the rim and is very succulent a good place to go for a group dinner, reasonable price and a wonderful worth. make sure to make a reservation!"

"Been meaning to go to the Store for a roast dinner for a while as i have eaten here before and the atmosphere, drinks and food have always been top. Unfortunately the roast dinner did not live up to expectations. The roast beef is 19£ in which you would expect it to be very high standard. We ordered all the sides as it was a girly get together and we had been looking forward to the roast for ages. To our surprise, the food came out pretty quick we ordered 2 x beef and 1 chicken. The beef had 1 slice of beef 2 potato 2 carrots some sort of small onion cabbage thing and 1 piece of broccoli and a dried out Yorkshire pudding FOR 19£!! I couldn't believe it, our sides then came out the cauliflower cheese had hardly any cheese or sauce, the pigs in blankets were burnt and some missing blankets, the stuffing was the only decent side. My other friends chicken then came out which looked like a better portion side but was unfortunately cold. She sent this straight back and believes that it was microwaved and given back to her so she refused it. Me and my other friend was so hungry we had no choice but to eat the food. We pulled this up with the waitress and if im honest she couldnt have been happier to help. They dealt with the situation very well. We was offered a discount on the food and extra roasties. I can say that when eatting the roast the gravy was good but the potatoes were not good and the lack of food on the plate for 19£ put an overall sore taste in our months. The way the staff handle the complaint was second to none so on this basis i will be returning to the restaurant just probably not order a roast. If the price wasnt so high there wouldnt be such high expectations. Maybe something to consider for the future."

"Booked a table for 6 for and upon arrival we were shoved in the corner with 3 makeshift tables. 1 square table, 1 wobbly round table and 1 smaller round table. When addressed the situation to the staff they rudely had stated that other table of 6 was reserved which had confused me. If I’m making a reservation through OpenTable since when could you allocate a table to yourself? So I stated this to staff and their tone of voice changed and rudely stated ‘the table is reserved and we only have your allocated table’. So in HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT we agreed to sit at our allocated makeshift table. Moments later the other party had arrived only to find out, it was the staff members friends/family. Even when placing our food and drinks order, staff were rude and inattentive. Very disappointing, wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all."

"We were greeted warmly and escorted to our table where we were offered drinks and menus. We had booked afternoon tea, which was absolutely delicious. We found ourselves needing more sandwiches so we ordered extra, which we had to pay for separately. We also needed to request another pot of tea. The restaurant had a peaceful and beautifully decorated ambiance. Our only disappointment was that our table was a bit too small for all five adults, and we could have used a third table for more comfort. Overall, thank you for the pleasant experience."

"highly recommended, sapores, my husband and I went as last minute booking for my birthday and I honestly had a brilliant experience. they will not be disappointed. first, the decor was beautiful! everything from the facility to the toilet was clean and immaculate. we were served by ikram who was asking with his friendly service and his recommendation as well as the others who all came to us several times how the food/shot was and when we needed something I never felt so relaxed and happy. other companies need to learn a few things about sapores staff labels! we went with ikram's suggestion of Shisha-Aroma; tropical vibes and it was the best taste I've been trying for a long time. the food met the place and presentation was immaculate. the burgers were full of taste and so were the chiffren, juicy and juicy. as I told the owner who asked us how everything was my answer; a* with a . they don't get this kind of service anywhere and it was the best. keep it up, I hope nothing but the growth of their business. "Poor experience of attending the bar with several colleagues after work. Shame considering that prior to this, I attended with a friend with no issues. Arranged a table and told that it was only available until 6pm. Noone had arrived by 6:10 asked if we could move when they arrive, told no. Rushed to with move us and weren't particularly motivated to allow us alternative tables, considering the bar (very large one) was literally empty. Failed to bring the correct drinks in the first part of the order and real reluctance to show any form of genuine customer care. Suspect that its due to the fact that some the colleagues didn't resemble their core clientele. Not made to feel welcome at all or that our orders were appreciated. Refused to pay service charge and decided to visit Bread and Roses around the corner. Live music, nice customer service and loads of room to accommodate us in the beer garden. We were also told by other colleagues who eventually joined us, that the table we were vacated from was still empty 45 minutes later. Also note that the toilets are in need of MAJOR renovation. Never again."

"3 of us went for a catch up and really enjoyed the food. The chicken burgers (chargrilled and southern fried) were really tasty with sweet potato fries and side salads. The quarter/half chicken with sides is a good option for healthy eating or those with dietary restrictions. The coca-cola chicken wing starters were an unusual idea but worked well and are dangerously moreish, as are the milkshakes. The decor is modern and fun, service was exceptional but it would have been better if busier. It's nice to find good places that don't require travelling into Central London and we will definitely come again."

"I love this place and have been many times. However this last visit not so good. after ordering a bottle of Prosecco the waitress put it unopened in an ice bucket in front of me. Then came back with two glasses one chipped not her fault) was replaced. When I then said are you not opening the Prosecco she looked at me and expressed surprise that I wanted her to open it. She duly opened it. We waited a long time and had to call for coffees and the bill. One waitress very busy in deep conversation with someone sitting at the bar. Very unusual to have a bad experience here but just thought it worth mentioning."
