"Booked a table for two for my Girlfriend 's birthday—at her suggestion. We arrived in our glad rags having been out for celebratory drinks nearby beforehand; unfortunately the ground floor was full so we were directed downstairs—fair enough, but for no obvious reason we were seated in the very back corner of the basement, by the toilets, whereupon it appeared that the staff forget about us entirely: it took nearly ten minutes to get someone 's attention to request a menu order slip. Once we eventually got an order in—perhaps 30 minutes after we arrived—the food arrived quite quickly, and was delicious. Alas, the service continued to be abysmal. It took several requests to get some water, and towards the end of the meal our waiter—though clearly not under pressure to free up our table as the basement was by this mostly empty—began clearing our plates despite the fact that I was very obviously still eating and even said no, I am not done with my plate . Alas, this was ignored, and I was obliged to eat the remaining food directly from the serving dishes (and a quickly as possible, least they disappear too). Definitely by far the worst service I have experienced in any London restaurant in at least 15 years. We will not be back."

"On Monday evening, on the way back to our hotel. It was a whole occasion of the visit and we had debated over another well-known chain which is a little further along the road. We were so impressed by the vegan options that we ordered almost one of the vegan options on the menu. The food was so good, the staff were all great when we entered the door, Jackie took the time to make sure we had everything we needed during our time there. If I didn't travel, I would visit as often as I could fully appreciate 5 stars."

"We love the Cote chain and finally went to this place on the beautiful St Christopher's Way. It was like the others great and worth the trip. The staff was as friendly and charming, food great as always, room very busy, but drinks and food arrived quickly. We'll be back. Definitely book how there were snakes out of the door, all the time we were there."

"Ping Pong food is always reliable. On this particular trip the waitress spilt drink all over my partner's jacket and clothes. She was very apologetic and we understood it was an accident. What was nice was that the restaurant was very apologetic and was forth coming with compensation via a reduction in the bill or offering us dessert on the house if we wanted. We were in a rush so didn't opt for the dessert but appreciated they offered to reduce the bill without us having to ask. Thanks again for your service"
