"Will start by saying how hospitable the staff were and how good it was to offer a cheesecake as we had a group birthday. Overall however I’d say the food was only okay and not really authentic. Considering it is a Mexican restaurant, I requested my food to be very spicy so was expecting that and I asked for only a little sour cream on the food. So I was a little disappointed when receiving my food that it tasted rather under seasoned and I didn’t really taste any spice at all, the salsa although requested hot tasted like a mild one. The food had what I’d say is excessive sour cream on top which made eating the burrito particularly more difficult. Considering prior to the meal also I saw someone bringing a tub of what looked like the cooked rice I had I wasn’t surprised to find that felt very dry and bland. Despite quite a few flaws there were good points such as the cocktails we tried, wedges, guac and meatballs. As mentioned despite the food being under seasoned and not spicy it was still cooked properly in the taco and burrito. Overall I’d say there are better restaurant options in the area for the price but this place is somewhere which is maybe worth a try for someone if you don’t mind that the food is more of an imitation of Mexican food. Mainly due to the atmosphere and staff friendliness/ hospitality. Service: Dine in Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"nothing standout. the blue parto cantina looks pretty cozy when you go down the stairs. in the inner it is really small and dark, but their eyes fit soon. the toilets, as their website makes a feature, are outside the main entrance so that they enter and get to them outside the restaurants./ we liked the feeling of the place. small and intimate it reminded us of a similar place in glasgow called bibi’s. I liked the blue papagei cantina as there were more things I liked than I didn't like. the service was fabtastic, the waitress full smile and really attentive. we had chilis and spicy bean soup filled as appetizers. Normally they would expect correct rellenos to have a broth crumb around them, but instead they were literally only filled chilis. the additional texture of brotkrust around it was missed. the spicy bean suppe was really delicious and hit the place. for the net we ordered enchiladas and herbal fajitas (technical Tex-Mex). the enchiladas were beautiful and there was a lot on the teller. the herbal fajitas were a bit sad. they did not come to a sizzler and so it quickly became cold. I ate one and a half small packs, as I have to admit that this was nicely dirty. more like sweet stir fried in a garlic oil went cold. guacamole, salsa and jalapenos were delivered, but also they fought to help. it also came with a very square and Bland salad. the fajitas were the abandonment in what else could be good. the place seemed too busy (we were there on a Saturday) and given the size, I would recommend to them book.Certainly not the best edinburgh has to offer in Mexican food, but it is ok."
