"Came in on Saturday night with my date for our first Zizzi's experience and we were certainly not disappointed with our choice of restaurant. We were greeted at the door by Mark and he set the tone for the night right away with his friendliness...and big personality. He was taking caring of us from start to finish, making sure everything was spot on and gave us a number of recommendations, ALL of which were absolutely fantastic. This genuinely might be the best customer service I've ever received, in any restaurant. Food was of high quality and both flavorful and fresh pizza or pasta, you can't really go wrong with either one here, they are definitely good at what they do, compliments to kitchen staff. If you're looking for wine, Trebbiano, which was recommended to us is terrific and on top of that is great value too. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend this establishment if you're looking for a place to take your date and once again our compliments a thank you to Mark especially, who made this a great and memorable night."

"Our previous visit to this branch of Zizzi was much better due to two things: the food was tastier and there were more waiting staff on the earlier visit. The waiter this time was very good but simply did not have the time to engage as staff had previously. This was also true on a recent visit to another Zizzi and it feels as though the absolute bare minimum number of staff are now being employed to maximise profits, but to the detriment of the dining experience. Perhaps more seriously, I think one of the main reasons to go to Zizzi is consistency. It doesn't pretend to be fine dining, but you go because you know what you will get. However, the food was much better in December (including many of the same dishes) and a dish eaten earlier this month in another branch was fine, but even looked quite different this time. There is nothing to really complain about here, but nothing to make me go back soon. Perhaps I have (quite unusually) eaten in Zizzis too frequently in recent months."

"I went inside aware of the bad reviews, instead I personally had a very good experience. Elena the waitress that assisted me she was kind and prompt. I was served almost immediately and the pizza arrived 10 min later at the latest. The only downside was the pizza itself. As an Italian I won't come back, I'm afraid. They have a good oven, so there is potential, but the way they make the dough is below basic. However, the price for a Margherita was £12.25, this is more pricy than Franco Manca and Zia Lucia (best in making pizzas). Anyway, overall a pleasurable experience."

"The restaurant had not even prepared for our reservation and I was told I hadn't booked even though I had. 3 small tables were pushed together which was awkward for the party size. When people arrived at different times they were not asked if they would like a drink. I couldn't get hold of a waitress and had to wait half an hour before I finally got someone's attention. Everyone's food was nice however I had the chicken ceaser salad which had dry chicken and it was a really small portion size. The place did not have a nice ambience and overall the service was terrible. A disappointment from Zizzi as they are normally really good."

"I made a booking for myself and my two elderly parents at a restaurant on an early Saturday evening. I was hesitant about taking a break from our usual routine. The restaurant initially mentioned that Toptable bookings don't always reach them. We were seated in a cramped area next to a large group of twenty people directly under an air conditioning vent, making it both the noisiest and the coldest spot in the restaurant. The starters were standard antipasti and olives. The main courses varied in quality, with one of the pasta dishes lacking in taste. My pizza, which was supposed to be the spiciest on the menu, was disappointingly lacking in spice, despite my efforts to add extra chili oil and black pepper. The service was inconsistent, and overall, I would not choose to dine at this restaurant again."

"I wasn't very impressed with the food at this restaurant. The steak I ordered was just okay, and the portion size was small. The prices were a bit high, especially considering the quality of the meat. I had made a note in my booking that it was my birthday and was hoping for a special dessert or some kind of birthday acknowledgment, but unfortunately, nothing was done. I would suggest that the staff pay more attention to any special requests in the booking comments. Overall, I think there is potential for improvement at this restaurant."

"Went to Zizzi when we got off the train at Waverley. It was quiet, when we arrived but the restaurant itself is very open and spacious. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout the visit. Always serving with a smile, and checking if we needed anything. The food was delicious, we had calamari which could have been slightly bigger cuts (but it suited us) and then the pictured pizza. Both were tasty, hot and brought out to us quickly. The pizza pictured was a ‘rustica’ and was enough for two of us. Great service and reasonably priced."

"Zizzi in the centre of Derby's restaurant area met up to all expectations. Excellent service, a great atmosphere, a good menu and quality, great value food and wine. The Rustica Pizzas are superb though now seem to be lacking in spice heat, which is a shame. Olive and bread platters are great value and the house-wines were truly superb value. "I liked Zizzi’s! don’t get me wrong. for the price of £14.50 I got a thin slice of cake and pommes. it was filling, but thin layer is not my favorite. also I prefer my fries thick. Maybe it's a British ding that explains why it was different for me. either I have had a better vegan pizza, so I can't judge fair anymore. another thing was the cheese was more dripping than chewing gum. it is still a decent choice if nothing else is open in the opposite."

"huge selection of vegan options from rich “plant protein” with lenses and tofu chili, to endless salat combinations. the self-service tablets are great and make it easy to adjust their salat selection completely, they simply check the screen when they pay with the card, as sometimes says it failed on the screen, but approved on the card device. they can be loaded twice on these lines. the personal was great at the solution this, but check them how they can not notice when they don't notice! one of the healthiest and freshest lunch options in the environment. I would recommend one."

"We visited for evening meal on Saturday. I asked the waiter for some advice on one meal and received a short mutter but no help or advice really. The whole experience seemed very rushed and when the food came, it was a total let down....There was also an offer on their website for pre theatre three course for £21 but we were told this was not on offer and the staff knew nothing of it but I had booked in advance and had a reservation on email. "we can not describe this place, directly from the word we were the first through the door and we were greeted by several different workers who set the ton for the night! the waiters and waiters were the whole night perfect together with the weepingian who was on the descriptions of each parings bang. the food was excellent and every dish literally took our breaths, compliments to the whole cook and the team to make my birthday meal as perfect as possible! fine eating without the london prices! "I started with the bufala caprese, which was beautifully garnished with basil and featured an abundance of mozzarella. The tomatoes were reportedly from the Isle of Wight, adding a fresh and flavorful element to the dish. My companion enjoyed the giant olives and found her porcini dish to be satisfying. I opted for a pasta dish with pulled venison, a unique and delicious combination. The portion size was generous, and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The relaxed atmosphere of Zizzi makes it a great spot to sit back and observe the bustling Paddington Street outside. To complement the meal, we ordered a Montepulciano which enhanced our dining experience. Overall, I was very pleased with my dining experience at Zizzi."

"Visited here Sunday 06/02/2022 for Sunday lunch we chose a bottle of red wine from the drink’s menu placed on the table 19 crimes at £14.5 0. I went to the bar with the drinks menu in hand and ordered the wine the barman disappeared...and came back with the wine uncorked and two glasses and said £16.50 I pointed to the price shown on the menu the barman just said no due to the six nations today was an event day and the prices are increased. As the bottle had already been opened I felt obligated to buy it I feel robbed and cheated as there were no signs up stating prices were increased due to the six nations or the fact that the barman could see I was ordering from the drinks menu that had been purposely placed on the table but didn’t inform me about any change in pricing at the point of ordering I can now understand why the pub was so empty on a Sunday lunchtime if this is how O’Neill’s scam their customers"

"Booked for a pre evening event at the arena so understandably very busy, however the tables were crammed in, I'm guessing additional tables added on busy nights. We were seated before 4 other tables however our order was taken after theirs and I had to go to the bar to ask for my order to be taken. Service was quite slow, we would have had time for dessert had it not taken so long for our order to be taken for both starters main and again for dessert. I felt like there want one person allocated our table so service was dependent on someone passing, noticing and being free. Food was perfectly acceptable and reasonable choice for vegetarian options."

"I booked the table earlier in the week for my 5 friends and I to enjoy a meal to celebrate a special event. The table was booked for 8.30pm and it just so happens that I arrived very early at 7.30pm to meet for an early drink. Most of the London Outlet had been evacuated when I arrived so I spoke with the Zizzi staff, who had congregated outside, to clarify what was happening, what advice they could offer and in particular would they be able to honour table bookings. To be surprise, I was informed that despite waiting outside for over 30 minutes they had made no decisions. I was told that the manager had no idea when he would be in a position to make a decision, I could 'hang around if I wanted ' and it was possible we could eat later! I realise that this was beyond the control of the manager but other restaurants in the Outlet appeared to have robust business continuity plans in place which enabled them to both keep existing customers informed, which is how I found out what was happening, and update customers who had booked. Zizzi on the other hand just did not care and seemed to lack a competent manager able to make an informed decision. To compound matters they did not even contact me afterwards to express any apologies. My advice is book to eat in one of the other Outlet restaurants just in case this problem happens again!"

"Was my go to for pasta pizza but after this experience will est elsewhere. Service was good with attentive friendly approach so no complaints there. It was the quantity of the food that was an issue. Not only was the portions very small that we gave the benefit of the doubt, prior visit before this one but the ingrediants were also lacking. We orderd spaghetti bolognaise that arrived with a speckle or two of mince and tasteless tomato. The other orders were prawn languini that ince again was very measley and once again lacking main ingredient. Prawns were anorexic so needed magnifying glass to see and the taste was, well it just was. Pasta for all three orders not suffient either. The only plus was the desert but nonetheless will not be returning."
