"I will not be going back here if I’m paid. Besides the fact they’ve taken almost all of the vegan options off, there’s a curry and fajita, which isn’t really a fajita it’s a reheated sloppy wrap! I know this because when asking about allergens or if I can take stuff out I was told it was all premade. I asked for a gluten free wrap as it was part of the option and was given a regular wrap and told about that after I had began eating it! I made my allergies very clear and the waitress tried her very best and was lovely but it seemed the kitchen staff really didn’t have a clue and something in my food set off a reaction even though I’d checked and there shouldn’t have been anything in especially since this meal was meant to be vegan (my main allergy is milk)... On top of this, the lady who came over to assist was extremely rude and insisted if I didn’t need to go to hospital it didn’t really make any difference and it wasn’t their fault so they wouldn’t do anything! Reluctantly she refunded me and said “here you go Madame if your money will make you feel better take it we obviously don’t cater to the likes of you” utterly appalled. "We visited this place whilst staying at a local holiday park with three kids and a dog at teatime and we’re really pleasantly surprised with the standard of the food. The younger kids had burgers and chips and a dessert off the kids menu which was good and the older girl had macaroni cheese off the main menu which she enjoyed. I had foot long nachos which were spot on and my girlfriend had a mini dish tapas selection of three dishes which she enjoyed. Those meals with a round of four drinks cost £55 which we thought was excellent value especially as the food was good."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"I came with 2 friends and we were looking forward to a last lunch together before Christmas, But the food was very poor, I had Hunters chicken which should have come with bbq sauce but there was virtually none and the chicken was so dry and tasteless without the sauce and it was the first time I had ever had cold peas! The waitress asked if everything was ok and I said it was disappointing that it wasn’t as described, she just said she would pass that onto the chef! The manager came over after a few minutes and said he hoped we would return and the next time we came it would be better, well I’m sorry there probably won’t be a next time at least not for a meal, I don’t expect gourmet food but something edible and enjoyable would have been nice"

"The staff and service were really great BUT unfortunately the food was not. The coated prawn starter was sad to say the least, the prawn substance was no more than 5 mm long. THE FISH CHIPS WAS BAD. YOU NO LONGER HAVE COD. Instead it was flat, all skin batter ONE STAFF CALLED IT HADDOCK, ANOTHER CALLER IT POLLOCK WHICH I BELIEVE BUT IN ANY CASE IT WAS DISGUSTING. I do not send food back to the kitchen for obvious unspeakable things that kitchen staff have been known to do to it. "I had the worst restaurant experience in Edinburgh at this place. The food was not good (we ordered the chili chicken ramen, regular chicken ramen, and vegetable gyoza). The service was really bad too. My friend got their food but I had to wait over 20 minutes because no one checked on us. I had to ask a different server for my food, and it wasn't even being prepared. Definitely not worth it. If you want ramen, go to Maki and Ramen instead - it's much better. There are also better Asian food options in town."

"This was a last minute booking as we found ourselves in London for the weekend. The food was delicious and some of the service team were warm and welcoming. One of the servers placed the amuse bouche on our table and walked away without telling us what it was (we had to ask another person). Thank goodness we don 't have any food allergies! We also had to ask more than once for some ice to have with our drinks. We also had to tell them when we were finished with the mains, and when we ordered dessert (which included a hot drink), we did not receive any petit fours or chocolate (all the other tables did). Perhaps service was a little off this weekend? The other downside was that the prices advertised on The Fork did not match the prices on The Goring 's website, and the prices advertised on The Goring 's website did not match the actual prices on the menu! For example, their famous lobster omelette is £34 on The Fork 's 'a la carte ' menu, £38 on The Goring 's website, but we were actually charged £45! The food is good, but I am not sure we would go back again. We paid over £200 for a 3-course meal and service was subpar and the prices were inconsistent."

"Visiting on business trip and decided to try this restaurant out. The food was good but there was a lack of engagement from staff, we are used to excellent customer service from other local restaurants. We were offered water and accepted but believed this was complimentary due to how it was offered, we were astonished to find out we had been charged around £5. It should have been made clear that there was a charge for this. The food,albeit good, took a while to arrive with little interaction from the staff who appeared to be chatting amongst themselves. We were further shocked and surprised by the service charge on the bill. This is not so.ething we are used to or have experienced before, as I say, we are visiting on business. I have since learned that this is optional and we could have refused it but this was not made clear and we felt forced to pay it. All in all this visit left us feeling somewhat disappointed and underwhelmed. Please be more clear with what is being charged for and the options to those expected to pay!"

"My wife and I make it a point to have a meal out at least once a month. Our previous experiences at this restaurant have been very good. We started with appetizers as usual, but when I ordered a medium rare filet steak, it came out well-done. I was disappointed to hear the staff try to convince me that it was cooked to the correct temperature. I shouldn't have to explain the difference between medium rare and well-done. Eventually, they replaced my steak with a medium rare one, but only after my wife had finished her meal."

"We were staying at Careys Manor for my wife's Birthday.Unfortunately we chose Le Blaireau on the night of her birthday, booking in advance on line.The food was very disappointing. We ordered mussels for our starters which were satisfactory but nothing special. The main course of chicken chasseur was miserable, the chicken was over cooked and hadn't met the meagre sauce until it was served on the plate, the potatoes tasted tinned and the vegetables were smothered in butter. How can a french bistro not be able to deliver a traditional french dish!!We did complain but to no avail, just receiving a curt response.As the food was so disappointing we declined to take desserts, feeling we would be wasting our money as I didn't believe the tart tartan would resemble anything like it should taste!It was so over priced and most definitely not value for money.Thankfully we had booked the Cambium Restaurant the following evening which was great"
