"I received a voucher as a Father’s Day gift and had the choice of this venue or their Glasgow restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. I chose a traditionally Scottish meal on this visit, while my wife opted for a more traditional Italian dish. Both meals were great, as were the sticky toffee pudding desserts. Despite skipping starters due to our smaller appetites, the portion sizes were just right - we felt satisfied without feeling overly full. It had been many years since my last visit to the restaurant, but it was just as good as I remembered. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"Reception was a bit difficult to find myself, but staff has been extremely helpful during my stay. Check-in was smooth, and room was a very nicely sized area, which also appeared very clean. Received a message from the hotel that the music in the bar could lead to noise until 2am, however this was very well covered. Couldn't hear the music from the room. Breakfast was good as well, freshly prepared for me on the spot. Would definitely recommend to others when staying in or near March. Thank you for your hospitality!"

"The manager of this restaurant is extremely rude. Hopeless service by the delivery staff. Twice my order was not delivered and the restaurant manager is very rude to admit that. He said its delivered and he cant help me with anything. Upfront on my face he denied the failed delivery. He says the delivery guy has a foto and video but when i asked to show me, he refused. I was wrongly charged twice and the fraudulent rude behavior of the store manager is even more disgusting and annoying. Never going to order again from this place."

"As with any Frankie Bennys this place was not cheap however the food we received was fresh and tasty. The reason for the 5 star review was that we had EXCEPTIONAL service from a lovely lady named Heather who literally went above and beyond to make sure we were catered for. Nothing was too much trouble and everything we asked for was met with a warm smile. She is a credit to the company and if they could replicate her in every branch it would be fantastic! If you visit and you are lucky enough to be served by Heather make sure you tip her well! She earns it!"

"Visited with some work colleagues for a birthday lunch and we had a fab time. We were served by Maria and Susana and both were attentive, polite and always smiling. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the half francasinha as I knew that this was a very filling dish and I still felt really full afterwards. My two colleagues also struggled o finish their food. The portion sizes are such good value for the price paid. The desserts are also homemade we had the flan which been made only that morning really delicious. They heard we had a birthday on the table and so one of the flans came with a candle and the staff sang happy birthday so nice of them to go this extra mile."

"I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We arrived with a reservation for 6 people at 7:30 pm and ordered drinks and food at the bar. However, when we sat down at our table at 9 pm, we had only received our drinks and no food. After inquiring, we were told by the waiter that our order had just gone through, meaning we had waited over an hour for our food. Some of the starters we received were stone cold, including pork ribs that were inedible. When we mentioned this to our waiter, there was no apology or offer to rectify the situation. The main courses were decent, but the evening had already been ruined. We even had to pay for additional drinks before they were served to us. There was no gesture of apology or reduction in price for the terrible starters. I will not be returning to this restaurant, as the staff clearly lack proper customer service skills. They were too preoccupied with menial tasks like folding napkins to realize that customers were waiting for their food, which the kitchen was unaware of."

"first we came in and it was really ugly. there were quiet music and the furniture was really nice. next we ordered, but our waitress was a bit grumpy. but our food came in 14 minutes. it is like almost food restaurant. the Canadian breakfast was really good and the pancakes were huge and delicious. it is a really good restaurant and some of the waiters are really polite. this is a definite 4-star restaurant I just turned 12"

"After a fantastic afternoon and evening spent with friends at the Hanover Tap Edinburgh our group of 14 were eventually left with just 4 of us. We tried to buy another drink to say goodbye to each other but the young lady behind the bar refused to serve us. I asked her why and she said that we were all drunk. I asked if one of us had misbehaved or acted out of order she said no but that as we had been there several hours we must be drunk and she would not serve us. We are all in our late 50’s our conduct at the pub was exemplary but she still wouldn’t serve us. As a group we had spent in excess of £1000 on food and drinks but she was having none of it. Shame to end a fantastic day that way. The young manager should rethink how she treats good customers. We as a group will not be returning to the Hanover Tap Edinburgh"

"We ordered the BBQ 12" pizza and mozzarella dippers at this restaurant. We didn't have to wait long and were impressed with the freshness and flavor of the pizza, which was also very generous in toppings. The dippers were crispy and light. "Came here for a brunch with the girls after finishing University. The drinks are absolutely gorgeous! The food was okay, we had a platter to share, it was nothing special. The pizza was very good. I had a great time here until the waitress was incredibly rude. We added our student discount and she stated we didnt look like students and walked off. We also removed the service charge (to tip in cash) and the women again was incredibly rude and stroppy, said okay purposefully avoiding eye contact and stropped off again. Didnt leave the tip in the end, disgusting attitude. She was very short and rude to us the entire time."

"I ordered delivery from this restaurant at midday today. The food did not arrive until 2.40pm. The chicken in the chicken burgers was not sufficient to fill the buns. They made a mistake with the toastie filling, so I called them and they said they would send a replacement. At 3.20pm, the manager called my house and initially said the replacement was on its way. However, he then became aggressive towards my partner, raising his voice and interrupting him. He blamed everything but his own business for the delay and errors, even blaming us despite living within the delivery area and paying £3 for delivery. It is now 4.55pm and the replacement toastie still has not arrived. I paid for something I never received and received abusive behavior from the owner. I will not be returning to this place as the customer service is terrible. I am now uncomfortable knowing that this angry man has my phone number and address."
