"I ordered a meal for myself and my children online from their website. I received a confirmation email indicating that they had received my order and that it would be delivered in 45 minutes. After 45 minutes had passed, I called to inquire about the status of my delivery and was informed that they had not received my order due to an issue with ordering through the website. I was quite frustrated as I was now left without a meal, and the person I spoke to showed no signs of apology or concern. I suggest that they update their website to advise customers not to order online until the issue is resolved. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience with poor service and communication."

"The star is for the location. The service was laughably dreadful. Our party of five adults two children popped in for afternoon tea a simple order of four pots of tea, one cup of coffee two of hot chocolate. We found our own table after being ignored by the alleged ‘waiting’ staff and fetched menus as these weren’t offered. A disinterested waitress eventually took our order, volunteering no useful information, such as the types of tea available. Later, pots of tea and other drinks were brought to the table via 6 trips to from the bar. Random cups and saucers followed in dribs drabs. We had to ask for milk a tiny jug of full cream between 4 unsuitable for tea), tea spoons three were chucked unceremoniously on the table), sugar all of which were brought separately to the table. We gave up trying to attract attention for the bill and had pursue a waitress around the room to request same. Service was included in the bill. We asked that it be deducted. It was. This restaurant really lets down an otherwise excellent museum. Shambolic."

"This restaurant had high marks but was a waste of time and money. We had made a booking two weeks prior and upon arrival our seating was next to the door on a chilly night and a holiday tree blinking my daughter into a migraine, meanwhile a holiday party is allowed to dominate the restaurant with their loud drunken outbursts and party games despite the other dining patrons trying to enjoy their meals or conversation. Absolutely rude and unprofessional on both parts. We were uncomfortable and disappointed in so many ways. I can’t imagine they have professional practices on a ‘normal’ day. Go else ware. The food wasn’t even mediocre. Disappointed."

"Anniversary meal. Although initially warmly welcomed by the chap at the desk and we were given 2 glasses of fuzz. (Thank you) The service that followed was sullen and unfriendly. There was no ‘check back’ was our food ok? My husbands toasted sandwich was cold. He wasn’t going to say anything as it was our anniversary meal but I could tell he wasn’t enjoying it. We did manage to speak to a waiter who said he wasn’t sure if it shoujd be warm or cold. He took plate with sandwich away and returned with it on a smaller plate not much warmer and again no checking if we were happy? We ate our food. Did notice people were sitting down then getting up and leaving. Again managed to gain someone’s attention to get the bill. Bill placed on our table in silence. Again no how was your meal? Or just general chat ‘happy anniversary’ any nice plans for the day? noticed 10 percent already added on for service so no extra tip from us. I work in hospitality and customer service and was so looking forward to my visit. We are local and were checking out for potential return visits in the Summer. Although, the food is not extravagantly expensive in these hard economic times, friendly, attentive service would have really made the ‘experience’ enjoyable and repeatable. Also allowed to leave with out a ‘good bye’ . Saddened as so looking forward to visit."
