"restaurant was absolutely freezing. even the staff put their coats on. slow service due to staff chatting or being on their phones. quite clearly advertised 2 courses for £17.50 but when it came to getting the bill we were charged full price. queried this but were told that offer ended in October despite it still being in black and white on the menu. the meatballs completely fell apart so it may as well just have been a bowl of mince. chicken and pitta were bland and burnt. they've completely lost the family run restaurant feeling which is a shame. "On 23.05.2022 I received an unexpected phone call from Lee who introduced himself as a manager at Dulwich Papa Johns . Lee was extremely polite and professional and explained that he had read my review regarding the very poor customer service I had received from another manager on 09.05.2022 and was extremely apologetic about the experience I had suffered regarding the BURNT AND CRISPY PIZZA. I accepted his apology wholeheartedly as he clearly understood my dismay regarding the poor service I had experienced and assured me that if I decided to order again my pizzas would be of the standard that it is expected to be and I would also get this order on the house. On 05.06.2022, I decided to take up the free offer and spoke to Ayoub (I hope the spelling is correct and informed him of the offer I had been given by Lee. He was helpful and reassured me that he would ensure that my pizzas would be of the standard that is expected of Papa Johns. My delivery was on time and handed over by a polite delivery person. When I opened the box that held the double pepperoni pizza with no cheese, I immediately rang Papa Johns. I was unable to speak to Ayoub but left him a message, “Tell Ayoub THANK you very much the PIZZA IS PERFECT.” Both Lee and Ayoub had kept their promise. To be frank the FREE pizza was so much better than the PAID FOR pizza. Just goes to show that ALLERGN SUFFERERS CAN HAVE GREAT PIZZA’S TOO if the time is taken to make sure they are baked perfectly to the right texture and are also delicious to eat. Thanks Lee and Ayoub for great customer service and restoring my faith in you. So, rather than losing a customer you have maintained one so long as the same standard remains. :"

"booked the day before for our sonn birthday meal with a £10 / head storage that is understandable nowadays. we had grown up a few minutes early and sat almost immediately. the table was nice and although we were with a view from the window, we were happy and were served our drinks. although there was a caught guinness pump on the bar, it was 't available so made with a dose. all the others had what they wanted. the menu is relatiw easy, but professional and 'fine dining' look. we ordered three starters to divide between five of us and it was sufficient with the delicious garlic bread. I ordered the sirloin steak (foto) and one of my sons ordered the mushroom linguin (foto), while two had the burger they both said was excellent and my wife had the heke dish that she said was delicious. she was especially happy with the risotto with the ones who came with him. everything in a beautiful evening. not cost-effective, but surely it is worth a celebration. our server (forget to ask its name) was very professional and always available. Thank you."

"I decided for dinner at rhubarb for the edinburgh restaurant festival, for my friend and me. the restaurant festival is a great chance to taste fine restaurants at a reasonable price. rhubarb has an excellent call; james thomson has a few first class restaurants in edinburgh, because these were my expectations very high. I love prestonfield house, it is a beautiful building and perfect for a cold autumn/winter evening. the restaurant is filled with heavy drapes and warm, crimson colors. the service we received here was great, except we had to ask for the edinburgh restaurant festival menu, although it was the menu that we wanted when booking. also the menu that is published online for the edinburgh restaurant festival differs from what we were given. to the luck it was a great menu. at the beginning I ordered the salmon, followed by the heke and finally the chocolate dessert. I enjoyed my whole meal, especially the chocolate desert, which was a chocolate melted lava cake. I would be the best part that I got all this delicious food for £25. I was pleasantly surprised to find that rhubarb would offer a 3-course menu for £35 with the festival, which would definitely encourage me to go back. I would also go back for a special occasion as it is a beautiful environment with a very exclusive feeling."

"absolutely incredible eating from the team of mizu! the tempoura veg was fresh and tasty, the gyoza were perfect and the sushi was absolutely spot on. order all freshly made and they get to enjoy their eating in a beautiful environment, make sure they show up outside and see the waterfall! "We have never had less than amazing food from Faceplant, and often it’s just sublime. Really creative owners who are always trying new sandwiches and other vegan delights. Too many great options to mention here you’ll some in the pics but the cheeze and bakon they make themselves are just droolworthy and you will never go wrong with one of their toasties, including one piled high with mac and cheese (what will they think of next and the most amazing vegan tuna melt on the planet. Only drawback is we have a half hour drive but if anything is worth it, Faceplant is! Updated from previous review on 2022-07-24"

"This restaurant is absolutely amazing and I love their pizza - it's one of the best I've had. The staff were really friendly, the restaurant is beautiful and well-designed, and the prices are perfect for the quality of the food. I can't recommend this place enough. I returned for a second night and had the lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs. Once again, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was well-presented and piping hot. Very good experience overall."
