"On 23.05.2022 I received an unexpected phone call from Lee who introduced himself as a manager at Dulwich Papa Johns . Lee was extremely polite and professional and explained that he had read my review regarding the very poor customer service I had received from another manager on 09.05.2022 and was extremely apologetic about the experience I had suffered regarding the BURNT AND CRISPY PIZZA. I accepted his apology wholeheartedly as he clearly understood my dismay regarding the poor service I had experienced and assured me that if I decided to order again my pizzas would be of the standard that it is expected to be and I would also get this order on the house. On 05.06.2022, I decided to take up the free offer and spoke to Ayoub (I hope the spelling is correct and informed him of the offer I had been given by Lee. He was helpful and reassured me that he would ensure that my pizzas would be of the standard that is expected of Papa Johns. My delivery was on time and handed over by a polite delivery person. When I opened the box that held the double pepperoni pizza with no cheese, I immediately rang Papa Johns. I was unable to speak to Ayoub but left him a message, “Tell Ayoub THANK you very much the PIZZA IS PERFECT.” Both Lee and Ayoub had kept their promise. To be frank the FREE pizza was so much better than the PAID FOR pizza. Just goes to show that ALLERGN SUFFERERS CAN HAVE GREAT PIZZA’S TOO if the time is taken to make sure they are baked perfectly to the right texture and are also delicious to eat. Thanks Lee and Ayoub for great customer service and restoring my faith in you. So, rather than losing a customer you have maintained one so long as the same standard remains. :"

"The restaurant was extremely cold; even the staff were wearing their coats. The service was slow, as the staff seemed more interested in chatting and using their phones. Although the menu clearly advertised a two-course meal for £17.50, we were charged full price when the bill arrived. When we inquired about this, we were told that the offer had ended in October, even though it was still clearly printed on the menu. The meatballs fell apart completely, making them feel more like a bowl of minced meat. The chicken and pitta were both bland and burnt. It’s a shame they’ve lost the warm, family-run atmosphere that they used to have."

"I placed an order late on Monday and received it promptly while the food was still hot. The delivery driver was amazing and went above and beyond to find the address. Thank you so much! It's heartwarming to see that there are kind people in this world. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name, but good people deserve to be recognized. I hope Papa John's will reward him."

"We have never had less than amazing food from Faceplant, and often it’s just sublime. Really creative owners who are always trying new sandwiches and other vegan delights. Too many great options to mention here you’ll some in the pics but the cheeze and bakon they make themselves are just droolworthy and you will never go wrong with one of their toasties, including one piled high with mac and cheese (what will they think of next and the most amazing vegan tuna melt on the planet. Only drawback is we have a half hour drive but if anything is worth it, Faceplant is! Updated from previous review on 2022-07-24"

"rhubarb is one of my favorite restaurants in edinburgh; it is luxurious and opulent, but without an intent. the hotel is located in the stunning prestonfield house hotel, the ambiente and the decor are both incredible. The circular dining rooms are decorated with Victorian style drapes, rich fabrics and antiques, and the large windows provide views of the beautiful grounds and arthur’s seat in the far away. I was twice for dinner in rhubarb and once for the afternoon and both were fantastic experiences. in the oktober I completed a three-day dinner in the frame of the edinburgh restaurant festivals. suppe, hake and a chocolate lava cake were presented all three courses beautifully and delicious. we finished the meal with a cheeseboard served in one of the drawing rooms on the upper level. four Scottish cheese, even paste, sourded honey and pastry cake was divine! Champagne afternoon tea was also lovely. it may not seem like a large amount of food, but my friend and I both stayed full and satisfied. there is a sortiment of sandwiches, two hearty objects, scenes with tinted sawn and marmelade and various cakes and sweets. Among the equipped are the fresh berths with homemade skyberry jam, goat cheese baked and chocolate personality macaron. the champagne was also beautiful. the service is top notch, and each personal member is friendly, welcoming and helpful. I cannot recommend rhubarb very much!"

"There 's no reason why a Pan Asian restaurant located in a fairly remote Cumbrian valley shouldn 't work. But everything at Mizu proved me wrong. I 'm no expert with this cuisine, but I can recognise taste or, in this case, the lack of, therein. I have to say, the restaurant is beautiful, and in a stunning location so hopes were high. 15 minutes after ordering our 2 drinks there was still no sign of them. I counted only 13 diners in, with at least as many staff, but the girl behind the bar mixing my wife 's cocktail was moving as a glacier does. The gloom descended. Finally they arrived. A mediocre margarita ÂŁ9) and a pint of Kirin Ichiban ÂŁ6) which tasted more like alka-selzer than lager. The Classic Californian Maki ÂŁ16) we 'd ordered was bereft of any taste with the rice cold and undercooked. It had previously frozen written all over it. The Grilled Sticky Pork Belly ÂŁ10) wasn 't bad but at ÂŁ2 a bite wasn 't worth it. The Grilled Salmon on a Stick ÂŁ10) was the same. It bascially flaked away to nothingness. 50 odd quid, still hungry, still thirsty. I can honestly say that similar stuff at Tescos has this beat. Very disappointing for a restaurant, especially one that looks so classy. Oh yeah, they don 't accept cash. Grrrr. Sticking to cumberland sausage sarnies from now on."

"The food was undoubtedly great and most of the staff were lovely. I had the arbroath smokie pancake and it was delicious and completely bone-free. My husband had the fish in oatmeal which was also very tasty. The menu was really interesting and varied with...plenty of fish dishes and local dishes including mince and skirlie and the space itself is lovely and cosy. Our issue was with the passive aggressive way the older waitress/owner drew our attention to the fact that we were breaking her rules because we had left our face masks lying on our table. She physically reached right across us to the far side of our table and said “let me just move this”, moved a vase of flowers to one side and waited. We were bemused. She watched and said nothing. And then we read the sign which had been hidden by the vase which said something like “please do not leave your face mask lying on the table”. Fair enough. We hadn’t seen the sign but the way she drew our attention to it was poor. In my view, we were at far more risk from being so very close to the coughing man at the incredibly close next table! Very very weird way of dealing with it, especially as she then directed us (like she was our primary school teacher) to put the masks away in our pockets. The whole exchange just left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Not sure If we’d go back but at least we’d be ready for her next time!"

"Firstly I have to say the food at all sambucas is very good and I have never had a bad experience we had the three course special which is now 7.95 not the price they are advertising online which is 5.95 that is not good advertising for your business, now i understand energy prices and costs are rising but it was very quiet for a Saturday and if you keep putting your prices up that is what happens but on the whole it is still decent value for nice food , now I have to say the place was very dusty and grimy the glass and mirrors are all smeared and greasy looking which is a shame because it's a nice cosy place but as i say it needs a deep clean from top to bottom then I'm sure it will be fine"

"Beautiful venue let down by the staff due to their utter lack of hospitality training. Unless you fit a very narrow criteria of cliental you will be treated with disdain. If you take your concerns direct to them they will ignore you, because that's how classy they really are underneath all the pomp and ceremony. Rooms: 5 Service: 1 Location: 5"
