"@marcoandcarl Review It never stuck to us that this restaurant would be Halal given its name! But to our surprise, we found out not only was it Halal, it was HMC approved! Marco Carl is located within the Bradford Leisure Exchange. They specialise in Stone Baked Pizzas, Freshly Prepared Pastas, Matured Steaks and Hand Crafted Burgers. They claim to use the freshest ingredients available to create traditional Italian dishes with a modern twist. We have tried a number of items they offer on the menu on the two occasions we have visited. A range of the wings they offer for starters. You can request a combination of flavours if you like. However, the Carl’s Secret Sauce Wings were bursting with sweet flavours which was a little too sweet for our liking. The other wing flavours were nice. Houmous and Tzetziki Meze. This was served hot and fresh and tasted yummy. Double Decker Burger where you can choose Double Beef or Chicken or try one each of Beef and Chicken, served with Burger Mayo, Salad, Cheese, Relish Gherkins and Chips. It was nice but the Chicken patty was a processed patty, rather than fresh chicken which was disappointing. Chicken Espetada Tender Cubed Chicken Breast skewered with Peppers served with salad, a choice of Sauce and a Side. Choose from Gombero, Capritto, Creamy Mushroom, Peppercorn, Gazebo sauces and Chips or Spicy Rice for the sides. Meat Fire House Stone Baked Pizza. The pizza is freshly prepared using the finest Italian ingredients. It is cooked in a wood fired oven and topped with beef steak, chicken, mozzarella, roasted peppers, green chillies, crushed chillies. Didn’t really enjoy this pizza as it wasn’t tasty at all! Not enough tomato or cheese and had a very thin base. Pesto Vegetarian, this is penne pasta in a creamy pesto sauce with roquito, spring onion, sweet corn and roasted peppers. The pasta would’ve been very tasty if hot! Please be aware, since our last visit, the Bradford branch HMC certification has been revoked. "

I encountered a misunderstanding that escalated into a he-said, she-said situation, eventually needing a supervisor’s help to resolve it. While it took longer than necessary to sort out, I would still consider returning for the food in the future."

"Having eaten here once before and really enjoyed it, we thought we 'd give it another try. The ambiance and décor were great and the staff were friendly. Initial drinks were quickly ordered and delivered. Even though the restaurant was only about one third full, service then became very slow. Even when we finally managed to order, the food then seemed to take ages to arrive. One vegetarian dish was tasty although a bit sparse and the hake (described as served with a sauce) was more like a piece of fish swimming in a lukewarm liquid. We passed on the desert as we thought that it would take too long. Disappointing."

"The food at Sai was excellent—freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. Each dish had its own unique taste and texture, and I couldn't find anything to complain about. The onion bhajis were particularly delightful, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My only minor issue was that the tables were quite close together, making the space feel cramped, especially since I was seated in a corner which felt a bit confining. Additionally, it was quite noisy; a few sound-dampening elements might help. We ended up having to shout to hear each other. Despite this, we'll definitely return and hope to visit on a quieter evening to try more dishes."

"Primavera hosted our wedding party and we couldn't have been happier with any aspect of it, from the service to the food and venue. Wish I could leave more than 5 stars! With COVID guidelines forcing us to change our wedding plans, the reception we had at Primavera was what really made the day. All of our guests were excellently cared for and the restaurant's owner Dessi worked so hard to make the day special for us. She worked with us personally on the menu and arrangements. We had a number of vegetarians, vegans and guests with allergies or mobility issues, whom were catered for with no problems whatsoever. The team followed COVID guidelines even when these guidelines changed at the last minute! The food is FANTASTIC. We had bruschetta sharing platters, baked Camembert and calamari starters for everyone, then everyone ordered a la carte. We requested a particular whiskey, which was supplied, and then the team served us our own wedding cake, making sure every guest had a slice with an icing rose on it! The staff were super friendly, super efficient and super attentive. Each course was served perfectly with no waiting. They worked SO hard, I can't thank them enough. Even though this was for a special event, we'll most likely be coming back on a regular basis because the food is so good!"

"I stopped by the restaurant last night for a drink around 9:05pm. The person who seemed to be the manager informed us that they were closing at 10pm. We went to the bar where a staff member, without any greeting or politeness, told us we could only have one drink. When we mentioned what the manager had told us about being able to have drinks until closing time, the bartender abruptly stated that he had already shut down the pumps. Despite this, he eventually poured our drinks. At 9:40pm, he came out to the garden and told us we had 3 minutes to finish up and leave. We observed that there was still another table with patrons outside, but we decided to leave via the pub. Upon reaching the front door, we found it bolted from the inside, which is a safety issue according to fire regulations. It seems like the management decisions and behavior of the bartender are deterring customers, especially since the establishment closes at 10pm. It appears as though the bartender would be better suited for a nightclub rather than a village pub where manners are expected. Overall, it seems like the establishment is not making the best choices in terms of customer service."

"We visted this restaurant for an anniversary dinner and left very satisfied with the level of service and food. The starter with squid was superb and unique. Mains we got a duck main and sea bream main. Both were very good but sea bream was better. Desserts Cheesecake and chocolate lava cake. Both excellent . The cheesecake was unusual but very tasty. Highly recommended."

"in any case worth a visit, as eating is quite good. we came here on a Saturday night and it felt like they had mixed their booking times, because we waited 30 minutes for the bars so that our pre-ordered is ready. And then, after we had ordered ourselves, we had to wait long until our ancestors showed up. a shame when it was eating and drinking really nice. they have also added the bill wrong and drinks that we did not have. this type of things happen, but the attention to detail and service could be better. in any case it is worth checking out as a really nice modern restaurant with good food. on a plus side they sat on a beautiful large, spacious table with comfortable chairs!"

"We were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to a cozy table by the window. The menu was diverse and enticing, with options to suit all tastes. We decided to start with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. For our mains, we both chose the seafood linguine, which was deliciously fresh and packed with a variety of seafood. To top it all off, we indulged in the chocolate lava cake for dessert, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of amazing and we left feeling satisfied and content. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"The service at this restaurant is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The food is delicious, but be careful not to order too much because the portions are quite generous! My dining companion and I shared two small plates before each enjoying a main course, and I ended up having to take half of my meal home in a doggie bag. The pork belly with potato celeriac mash was absolutely delicious, and I would highly recommend it. The menu may be small, but it is varied and they make changes to it every month, which gives me a reason to come back regularly. The prices are reasonable as well. I am thrilled to have discovered this place and I can't wait for my next visit."

"We used Eric’s outside catering service last year, so had no hesitation in using Eric’s again for my wife’s special birthday. This time however, we asked Eric to deliver to our home and to plate up and present the food so there was nothing for us to do but enjoy the sumptuous spread that was provided. The food arrived on time and was quickly and efficiently laid out by Eric and his assistant, complete with crockery, cutlery and linen napkins! Highlights of the spread were the open beef sandwiches, the smoked salmon fillets, the spicy chicken skewers, the salads and of course the fabulous cakes, brownies, Bakewell tart and the birthday cake. The quality was amazing, and so was the quantity more than enough for everyone present. We cannot wait to visit the restaurant when restrictions are lifted, and can thoroughly recommend the outside catering service."

"Before I start, I want to say that the restaurant owner has reached out to us to apologize and make this right. This review is based on the events of the night. TLDR: Starters took an hour to arrive, and we gave up on further food after 90 minutes and left. Were told the order had not gone through the system, but the front of house staff didn’t notice we weren’t eating or clear the empty glasses from our table and ask if we wanted a second round. We watched other tables eat 3 courses (although we were not the only table who left unhappy). We were a table of 5 who booked in for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. We had to leave a £10 per person deposit to hold the table, fair enough. The website also stated that we had to pre order our meals, which seems a little strange for a table of 5 (I could understand if we were twice as many). A phone call confirmed that we didn’t have to pre order, so the website could do with updating as this might put people off. We arrived a few minutes early, sat down and ordered some cocktails and then our food (starters and main course). After an hour we had finished our drinks, the empties hadn’t been cleared away and nobody asked if we wanted more. We then asked what had happened to our starters and suggested some chips and dip for the table while we waited. After checking we were told that our starters were being plated up and there was not point in getting chips (one of our party wasn’t having a starter and by then was getting pretty hungry). The starters were delicious when we finally got them. After flagging down a server for another round of drinks, we waited, watching other table arrive after us, and be served their meals. I was beginning to wonder if we had done something wrong when I saw someone from another table to go the kitchen hatch and collect their own food (they later also left the restaurant unhappy). When we did ask what the delay was, the staff were not helpful, or apologetic. We finally gave up on getting our food and left. During the evening the owner (also the chief) was in the kitchen working away. He seemed unaware of the issues going on in the front of house, and nobody apologised to us, or offered to put things right until we left (the owner did email us the next day and has been working with us to make amends)."

"Ordered two takeaway calzone, service was okay and fairly quick from order to receiving food. However on opening the boxed calzone ordered with salad I saw what can only be described as a sad folded bit of dough sat in a large puddle of water, the sauce within the calzone was also bland and watery and for 20 quid without even sitting in I would expect more. As I did not eat in i cannot comment on the atmosphere but the staff were okay Service: Take out"

"We were on our half term Tour of London as a treat with an excited 7 year old great nephew. His special lunch request a Burger! Which coincided somehow with husband getting his wish, to mooch around boats at St Kats marina! So it was great to spot Côte which is always very good. We had an amazing welcome from Stefan, as walk ins. All the team treated our lad as a real mini celeb. The Menu Petit for children was excellent and well priced, with a salad option alongside the burger and chips. We have not stopped hearing about the Waffle Sundae since! Our meals were great, 1/2 chicken grill and a Boeuf Bourguignon and a lovely bottle of Sancerre rose. Which perked us up for the rest of the Tour of London. Thanks to the great team, Angjelo, Stefan, Zak and Shannon for making our Côte stop off a key part of a memorable day out. Ευχαριστώ to Angelos!!!"

"we have hosted our baby 1 year old party in osteria mbare in the januar and the restaurant has absolutely exceeded our expectations! we reserved the entire lower stage and had about 35 adults and 7 babies, from 3pm to late! the chef made us a spectacular birthday cake and we had dedicated waiters serving drinks and kanapes. No one drank everything. cosimo the manager is so friendly and accommodating! the cocktails are also fabulous. thanks team, we appreciate everything they have done to put on a fantastic party!"

"We’ve eaten in Calum’s restaurant every time we visit Skye, 2-3 times a year. The food is outstanding. It’s a limited menu but that ensures freshness and consistency. He’s a very talented chef. This week I had the monkfish and the flavour of the additional ingredients made it an outstanding dish, the smoked celeriac purée in particular. A little expensive (Skye rates! at £48pp and £3 for coffee a bit steep (a small piece of fudge tablet please We’ve never had anything other than an outstanding dining experience at Scorrybreac and cannot recommend it highly enough"
