"The service at this restaurant is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The food is delicious, but be careful not to order too much because the portions are quite generous! My dining companion and I shared two small plates before each enjoying a main course, and I ended up having to take half of my meal home in a doggie bag. The pork belly with potato celeriac mash was absolutely delicious, and I would highly recommend it. The menu may be small, but it is varied and they make changes to it every month, which gives me a reason to come back regularly. The prices are reasonable as well. I am thrilled to have discovered this place and I can't wait for my next visit."

Great steak, friendly and helpful service, reasonably priced. My sirloin steak was juicy, tender and perfectly cooked. Nice and intimate atmosphere. A local hidden gem!

Amazing Saturday brunch we had bottomless brunch which was enough food to feed a family, great quality and beautifully cooked. Fab service. Basically a brilliant place; can’t believe they don’t have queues out the door

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Ginger Pig. My chicken schnitzel was huge, moist and tasty. The pork belly with mash and cabbage was enjoyed by my daughter. Very attentive service and very reasonably priced.

Our favourite place to eat in the area great, hearty, delicious food and awesome cocktails all at such a reasonable price and with v generous portion sizes. Smallish but regularly changing menu fab flavours, great service and lovely chefs who happily accommodate dietary requirements. Couldn’t be luckier to have this on our doorstep and SO pleased to see these guys open for delivery during lockdown! View menu

Came here on a Saturday night for a table of 4 last minute not knowing what to expect and we were all blown away with the service, atmosphere and food! Such great value too for the quality and portion size. Worked out £35 each for cocktails, two bottles of wine and a feast of 4 'small ' (huge! plates and two insanely good steaks. Great, cosy spot for an evening dinner. I 'm so surprised it wasn 't busier, this place is fantastic!

My family of four enjoyed a dinner at the Ginger Pig Cafe. We loved the Fritto Misto and received compliments on the garlic prawns. If you're a red meat enthusiast, you'll have a tough time choosing between the lamb and steak, as both were cooked perfectly. The reasonably priced wine exceeded our expectations. The service was attentive and unobtrusive, creating a welcoming and relaxing vibe. The bill was a pleasant surprise, making our dinner even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
