"@marcoandcarl Review It never stuck to us that this restaurant would be Halal given its name! But to our surprise, we found out not only was it Halal, it was HMC approved! Marco Carl is located within the Bradford Leisure Exchange. They specialise in Stone Baked Pizzas, Freshly Prepared Pastas, Matured Steaks and Hand Crafted Burgers. They claim to use the freshest ingredients available to create traditional Italian dishes with a modern twist. We have tried a number of items they offer on the menu on the two occasions we have visited. A range of the wings they offer for starters. You can request a combination of flavours if you like. However, the Carl’s Secret Sauce Wings were bursting with sweet flavours which was a little too sweet for our liking. The other wing flavours were nice. Houmous and Tzetziki Meze. This was served hot and fresh and tasted yummy. Double Decker Burger where you can choose Double Beef or Chicken or try one each of Beef and Chicken, served with Burger Mayo, Salad, Cheese, Relish Gherkins and Chips. It was nice but the Chicken patty was a processed patty, rather than fresh chicken which was disappointing. Chicken Espetada Tender Cubed Chicken Breast skewered with Peppers served with salad, a choice of Sauce and a Side. Choose from Gombero, Capritto, Creamy Mushroom, Peppercorn, Gazebo sauces and Chips or Spicy Rice for the sides. Meat Fire House Stone Baked Pizza. The pizza is freshly prepared using the finest Italian ingredients. It is cooked in a wood fired oven and topped with beef steak, chicken, mozzarella, roasted peppers, green chillies, crushed chillies. Didn’t really enjoy this pizza as it wasn’t tasty at all! Not enough tomato or cheese and had a very thin base. Pesto Vegetarian, this is penne pasta in a creamy pesto sauce with roquito, spring onion, sweet corn and roasted peppers. The pasta would’ve been very tasty if hot! Please be aware, since our last visit, the Bradford branch HMC certification has been revoked. "

"I keep the meaning of leaving and forgetting a review of primavera. this place is absolutely wonderful, eating is so delicious. I was a handful of time and every time I have something else that is just as delicious. the service is wonderful, they really care about everything and all their guests. the atmosphere is also great, intimate, but always smokey. I recently booked for a group of 10 of us and they looked after us amazingly. my family, who came out of Scotland, will save on eating today!"

"Food was wonderful but it was 20 minutes before anyone approached our table we were just about to leave when someone finally asked if we’d like something to drink.After we finally ordered food it was another 30 minutes before we saw our starters and then another 20 minutes before we saw our main courses. We understand restaurants are having trouble finding staff,but this restaurant really needs to get more staff as soon as they can.The saving grace was the food was excellent."

"Sai has quickly become my new favorite Indian restaurant! We've tried numerous Indian places across the United Kingdom, but none have met our expectations quite like Sai. From the very first bite, the food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor! It also boasted incredibly authentic Indian aromas, even surpassing our favorite Indian restaurants back home in Canada. The service was excellent, and the decor and cleanliness were impressive. The atmosphere is fantastic, and I believe they've recently renovated their outdoor terrace. I highly recommend visiting Sai for a wonderful meal and an enjoyable experience!"

"Took 1hr 20mins to get main course after starter. Potions getting smaller as service went on proving kitchen incapable of coping with number of covers. The main we recieved was almost child's potions with virtually no meat and very soggy coliflower. Staff very unhelpful as they were being put under undue pressure. "Such a shame we knew they didn’t have the full vegan menu (October 2020) but still had good options, popped in Tuesday afternoon to check for a family lunch the following day and were told we couldn’t book outside tables but to come before 3.30 after which they just served pizza. Arrived Wed 1.30, shown outside by a very friendly man we met at the door who I took to be the manager went to ask for menus and were told they weren’t serving food outside! No tables available inside (prefer outdoor anyway currently), wondered about takeaway sit out? But no. Ended up in the pub opposite with a bowl of chips as only vegan option. Will try again another time as it sounded good. Disappointing though."

"I took my daughter here for her Birthday. We have both eaten in a number of Michelin starred restaurants. This meal was as good as any of them, and a tad cheaper as well.To start we both had the salmon ceviche, which was exquisite, flavourful and fresh. Then, the rack of lamb with sweetbreads accompanied with side greens and truffle mash. Oh my word! Every mouthful, we couldn’t stop saying how good it was. It was just one of those truly memorable meals. We were in bliss. I have eaten at Michael Nadra Chiswick about three times previously over the years. This was happily the best meal of those visits.We then shared a platter of cheese with the most divine red onion relish. For desert my daughter had the chocolate fondant and I the treacle tart with raspberry sorbet clotted cream. Yummy! Service was impeccable. We couldn't have been happier. Additionally, my daughter had wanted to eat at about We were able to book a late lunch. We arrived at and left around There is a nearby Michelin star restaurant that I have been to many times. If you like that one I highly recommend you visit Michael Nadra. It’s just as good"

"Booked a table at 2pm online, where we were told they needed the table back at 4pm. We arrived literally a couple of minutes late due to traffic and we were greeted by a rude member of staff who told us the kitchen had closed! When I asked why they have a table available for a booking at 2pm if the kitchen is closes at the same time, the same member of staff said “we were late” and basically kicked us out. Garbage customer service and booking policy. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get any!"

"We were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to a cozy table by the window. The menu was diverse and enticing, with options to suit all tastes. We decided to start with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. For our mains, we both chose the seafood linguine, which was deliciously fresh and packed with a variety of seafood. To top it all off, we indulged in the chocolate lava cake for dessert, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. "The service at this restaurant is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The food is delicious, but be careful not to order too much because the portions are quite generous! My dining companion and I shared two small plates before each enjoying a main course, and I ended up having to take half of my meal home in a doggie bag. The pork belly with potato celeriac mash was absolutely delicious, and I would highly recommend it. The menu may be small, but it is varied and they make changes to it every month, which gives me a reason to come back regularly. The prices are reasonable as well. I am thrilled to have discovered this place and I can't wait for my next visit."

"Before I start, I want to say that the restaurant owner has reached out to us to apologize and make this right. This review is based on the events of the night. TLDR: Starters took an hour to arrive, and we gave up on further food after 90 minutes and left. Were told the order had not gone through the system, but the front of house staff didn’t notice we weren’t eating or clear the empty glasses from our table and ask if we wanted a second round. We watched other tables eat 3 courses (although we were not the only table who left unhappy). We were a table of 5 who booked in for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. We had to leave a £10 per person deposit to hold the table, fair enough. The website also stated that we had to pre order our meals, which seems a little strange for a table of 5 (I could understand if we were twice as many). A phone call confirmed that we didn’t have to pre order, so the website could do with updating as this might put people off. We arrived a few minutes early, sat down and ordered some cocktails and then our food (starters and main course). After an hour we had finished our drinks, the empties hadn’t been cleared away and nobody asked if we wanted more. We then asked what had happened to our starters and suggested some chips and dip for the table while we waited. After checking we were told that our starters were being plated up and there was not point in getting chips (one of our party wasn’t having a starter and by then was getting pretty hungry). The starters were delicious when we finally got them. After flagging down a server for another round of drinks, we waited, watching other table arrive after us, and be served their meals. I was beginning to wonder if we had done something wrong when I saw someone from another table to go the kitchen hatch and collect their own food (they later also left the restaurant unhappy). When we did ask what the delay was, the staff were not helpful, or apologetic. We finally gave up on getting our food and left. During the evening the owner (also the chief) was in the kitchen working away. He seemed unaware of the issues going on in the front of house, and nobody apologised to us, or offered to put things right until we left (the owner did email us the next day and has been working with us to make amends)."

"What a truly exceptional dining experience this evening, utterly faultless Each course was beautifully presented and the ingredients meticulously explained. The quality of locally sourced, caught and foraged produce was excellent, beautifully balanced and the portion sizing perfect for a tasting menu with multiple courses (this is not your standard three course menu). We thoroughly enjoyed an amazing two hour culinary experience My wife has dietary restrictions (gluten and dairy) and this wasn’t an issue. "The food we received tonight was nothing to rave about. It was a rushed meal which fell completely short of our expectations. It was my brothers graduation to which we had booked a table of five. My Mum had tested positive yesterday and unfortunately could...not attend. My mother is a nurse who has worked endlessly throughout the pandemic. As if it was not bad enough my mum not being able to attend a huge occasion and having to FaceTime us whilst crying to see what the restaurant and food was like, when we came to pay the bill they at first the waiter did not take off our deposit. We then asked for the deposit to be taken off to which they only removed as my mum did not attend. This is absolutely disgraceful behaviour. When we arrived there were around tables in the restaurant empty and the whole bar area empty. We did not make you lose custom we did not take a seat away from another table nor was it a weekend evening, which if it was we would understand. It is a Tuesday with plenty of tables available. When it was raised that we were not happy we were told that it was the rules. I pointed out that the restaurant was empty and that it was appalling. These ‘rules’ were never communicated with ourselves nor were they in writing. Considering the situation right now, this should be highlighted! We would not have attended if this was the case considering three of us work for the health board! It ruined our evening and ruined our day. We had spent over with you and you could not honour our I am still in shock of the absolute disgraceful behaviour I have witnessed tonight. I would completely understand if we had massively reduced in number, if the restaurant was busy and we had taken away earnings, but this was not the case. Disgraceful behaviour. For the sake of you ruined a very special day."

"Ordered two takeaway calzone, service was okay and fairly quick from order to receiving food. However on opening the boxed calzone ordered with salad I saw what can only be described as a sad folded bit of dough sat in a large puddle of water, the sauce within the calzone was also bland and watery and for 20 quid without even sitting in I would expect more. "We were on our half term Tour of London as a treat with an excited 7 year old great nephew. His special lunch request a Burger! Which coincided somehow with husband getting his wish, to mooch around boats at St Kats marina! So it was great to spot Côte which is always very good. We had an amazing welcome from Stefan, as walk ins. All the team treated our lad as a real mini celeb. The Menu Petit for children was excellent and well priced, with a salad option alongside the burger and chips. We have not stopped hearing about the Waffle Sundae since! Our meals were great, 1/2 chicken grill and a Boeuf Bourguignon and a lovely bottle of Sancerre rose. Which perked us up for the rest of the Tour of London. Thanks to the great team, Angjelo, Stefan, Zak and Shannon for making our Côte stop off a key part of a memorable day out. Ευχαριστώ to Angelos!!!"
