"It had been a while since my last visit, but it was even better than I had remembered! I am already thinking about coming back for breakfast next time. Be sure to try the venison dish, it's delicious. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely lunch. The price per person was around £30-40, but well worth it for the quality of food and service. I would give this restaurant a 5 out of 5 for both food and service."

"Wow! We had an amazing experience at the restaurant last night. The dining room was beautifully decorated and the lighting and atmosphere were perfect. Our server was charming and professional, and did a fantastic job managing all of the tables. The food was the best we've had in years - a perfect combination of flavors, expertly prepared and presented. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant more often. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful evening. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Will only give 3 star , mainly because I booked for Valentine’s Day and was expecting the restaurant to have a Valentine’s theme but was disappointed as there was nothing whatsoever I saw on their Facebook that they had pictures of the restaurant nicely decorated for Valentine’s but this year there was NOTHING Food was ok , desserts not so good , chocolate brownie was too dry"

"Having been once before decided to try again based on that experience. It was every bit as good second time round. The full breakfast was chosen by 7 out of 8 of us and it was truly excellent. The staff were attentive despite it being very busy. Would recommend."

"Absolutely fantastic. 6 of us including wives and girlfriend booked for one of our delayed birthday lunch. They happily accommodated us for Friday lunchtime. Because of the time it was quite quiet but the service was quick and courteous. Three of us ordered sea bream which was delicious the others ordered various pastas which were deemed delicious. The Limoncello ice cream and Tiramisus were wonderful as were the red and white wines. Wonderful lunch and we worth the visit. Parking: Parking local in Waitrose car park."

"I lived in Italy for a while, so I am familiar with Italian kitchen. Therefore I must say that I was very satisfied with Gio's food quality and the taste. I am just kind of surprised that some people are complaining about some dishes i.e not like a soup, not like a lasagna etc). Because what I tried there is a proper and tasteful Italian food. Whoever is complaining, probably never been to local trattoria in Italy or to Italy at all. Totally loved the food and the warm, friendly service provided."

"We chose to stay at Peak Weavers while visiting Alton Towers, and it was the perfect location being just a short drive to the park. The hotel is situated in a peaceful area in Leek, only a quick walk to the main shopping street. The hosts were delightful and provided us with great recommendations for nearby activities. The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations, offering a variety of options including continental choices or a full English breakfast with salmon and scrambled eggs. Our room was comfortable and spacious."

"I was not expecting much for our family outing to a pizza and pasta restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the vegan stuffed mushroom starter and the Cassareccia Rustica for my main course, and both dishes were delicious. The stuffed mushroom dish included field mushrooms topped with roasted peppers, onions, vegan cheese, balsamic dressing, and garnished with rocket. The main course consisted of roasted peppers, aubergines, broccoli, onions, tomato sauce, a touch of cream, topped with goat's cheese, and baked in the oven. They have a dedicated vegan menu on their website, with 5 starters, 5 mains, and 2 pizzas to choose from."

"Our fourth time here. Fabulous meal this evening celebrating our anniversary. Never normally have chicken at a resturant, but knowing what a great chef he is I went for the chicken option for my main. AMAZING fabulous main never tasted chicken so good. The whole meal was fabulous. The Staff were attentive but not intrusive, atmosphere great. We had a fantastic evening. Will return during another season to sample another menu. Thank you to all at the Sportsman."

"I visited this restaurant for the first time last Friday and I will definitely be back. The service was excellent, the meal type was dine-in, and the price per person was between £20-30. I rated the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying the Butter Chicken, Chicken Pakora, Lamb Jalfreszi, Jalfrezi, and South Indian Garlic Chilli dishes."

"I forgot how lovely atmosphere can be in a Greek restaurant. Nostalgia from holidays perhaps. I went there to celebrate my friend’s birthday. So happy to choose to go here, fast service, amazing food, really brings a piece of Greece in the heart of London, or hearts of Londoners should I say? Plenty to choose from between vegetarian dishes, meat dishes or seafood gourmands. Since we had so many options we did ordered something for everyone’s preference including for my sweet tooth . Cocktails are a must in our group."

"beautiful, friendly bistro in the heart of whitley bay. we visited during the vegan restaurant week as the online menu was so appetizing and ordered 3 courses for a bargain 17. from the starters we got the broken plant tempura with coriander hummus and spinat, garlic and cashew nuts ravioli with spinat, walnut and chili pesto. both starters were deliciously fresh and tasteful. for the net I ordered the Lensmoussaka with grilled aubergines, béchamel sauce, garlic bread and some of the best melted free of cheese I have ever tasted while my wife got the veg-pie with veg, kartoffel and onion-gred. again, both dishes were absolutely excellent. the quality has not stopped. the sticky toffee pudding was the sky and the coconut toffee sauce was to die while the amaretto and chocolate mousse cake was divine. let them hope that the success of the vegan week will be some of these dishes the regular menu."

"We stayed over for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. Luckily for us it was a last minute cancellation as our original booking elsewhere had closed down and we didn’t find out until the night before looking on this site, no notification from booking site or premises owner!! Anyway we had a great stay here. We had a very large room with a wardrobe, dressing table a super king bed and a double sofa bed. The room was very modern and super comfy beds. We had complimentary tea, coffee etc and shower gel/ shampoo in the bathroom. Free WiFi was available and a smart TV. Breakfast was lovely we got onto chose a time to suit and got exactly what we wanted. We had a couple of evening meals here I recommend the burgers. The hosts were very welcoming and the area is lovely approx about a 10 mins drive from the beach."

"Had lunch here yesterday with my friend. We were 10 mins late but wasn't a problem to them. From we entered the staff were very friendly and all very attentive. The lovely Sharon looked after us and was professional yet friendly and welcoming. We had the specials of venison sausages and cod with herb crust...I think our empty plates showed how much we loved it. We had some of the homemade vegetable crisps while waiting on our main and these were just amazing!! My friend had rice pudding for dessert which she said was just gorgeous...followed by 2 lattes and 2hrs 15 mins later our waitress Sharon was more than happy to show us the rest of the building as my friend is planning on booking dinner. Having loved Cleneghans before, I can only say if I could I would give more stars and it definitely hasn't lost its charm. Good luck with everything and we will definitely be back. :"

"Stayed on a Thursday night using an itison voucher which we had saved for our anniversary. I do wonder if they earmark substandard rooms for voucher stays. Arrived and checked in without any issues. We were given a discount card for food and drink which was great and completely unsolicited. But I later discovered I’d be signed up to Radisson’s loyalty scheme without my permission to get this. Not the best start. We informed them we were booked in for afternoon tea and dinner and were given all the directions. Lift to room. Wow how weird is the layout of room 530! Pilar right in the middle of the room with a large tv hanging very precariously from it. There’s minimal space between the pilar and the bed, so mind your head! And if you put something in the bin under the desk and you’re not paying attention, you’ll very likely hurt yourself on the corner of it! Everything about the room is very tired. Scuffs on everything. Stains on the carpet and the chairs. Safe didn’t work which meant carrying my tablet down to lunch and dinner. The bathroom isn’t much better. There should be a light around the mirror but I couldn’t find a switch. Don’t wait until you come out the shower to look for the spare towels, they’re next to the entrance door outside the bathroom. I’m unsure why when there are a lot of adequate empty shelves in the bathroom. The shower isn’t great with minimal water pressure and the shower door opens out, so you can’t leave the bath mat outside the shower door. You need to get it after you’ve opened it, so careful not to slip with your wet feet. The bathroom has lovely glass tiles dividing it between the bedroom. Nice until someone goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night and puts the light on! Bedroom then gets the brilliantly badly designed benefit of that light also. There is tea and coffee fashioned into the black pillar in the centre of the room. There’s a light at the back that either didn’t wort or I couldn’t find the switch for. So my phone light was needed to see what was in there! Don’t wait to the last second to look for the hairdryer. There wasn’t one in our room and I had to call reception to get one. Food...afternoon tea was delicious! The savouries were particularly good! However when we arrived they didn’t have our booking. Which is odd when we booked the hotel, dinner and afternoon tea over the phone at the same time. Anyway, they will of course set a table for us in the lovely room at the back and please wait while they do. No drink offered while we waited. The room was lovely but it could be better. The tables needed a good clean and there were stains all over the cushions. There was a fire on though which was and lovely but needed. Cup had a chip on it which was very obvious! We received the prosecco but had to then ask for the tea after we’d received the food. Just let us know if you need anything else they said but never came near us again. If you want anything you’d need to go looking for someone in the bar. Dinner...there were 3 couples including ourselves and one single gentleman in for dinner. So it was extremely quiet. There only appeared to be one girl serving which they just about got away with. Starters and drinks ordered. There was a little wait and the starters arrived. We had to ask for the drinks. Apparently they’d run out of prosecco but they were sorting that out. Fine but we still had to wait for the other wine ordered. Sadly the starters were shocking! Fish pate was full of bones and the carrot and ginger soup was so full of ginger I literally couldn’t eat it. This was swapped without any quibble. The chicken pate was just ok! We both ordered chicken for main and it was very good. Chips were also great and the side of veg was cooked to order without butter. My husband had date pudding and said it was the best he’d ever had. To round off the night we thought we’d go to the bar for a cocktail however it was so cold that we decided to take the drinks to our room. This was a mistake because they were both so bad. We would have sent them back if we had sat down there. The syrup in one cocktail was so overbearing it was undrinkable. Breakfast was massive. So much choice, as they advertise. They also do made to order food. All in all, despite all the staff being extremely lovely, we definitely won’t be back. I like an itison to try new places and then we often revisit the places we like best. This sadly won’t be on our list."

"Visited as a large group on Sat 9th, we hadn’t pre booked a table there were none available, we did manage to get a small table but whilst there, were really disappointed with the standard of cleanliness, I picked up 3 menus they were all sticky which is disgusting but when a family left we managed to secure a booth in the window, we were quick to jump into it as there were several of us, however there was no attempt from staff to clean the table, we did it, moving everything up to the bar which they cleared swiftly but no one attempted to clean the table which was pretty disgusting reinforces why the menus were so bad, maybe a little more attention to standards of cleanliness wouldn’t go amiss, if you’re that poor in the drinks area, I would never attempt to eat here "

"I popped into this cafe today and ordered an Iced Matcha Latte. This drink cost £6 and tasted like drinking powder. When we went back to change the drink the lady in there was the rudest person I had ever encountered in a cafe and insisted that everyone has their own taste and no one had complained before. This clearly is not the case considering all the previous negative reviews mentioning how rude the service is. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone. Overpriced, rude service and an overall bad experience."
