"Stayed on a Thursday night using an itison voucher which we had saved for our anniversary. I do wonder if they earmark substandard rooms for voucher stays. Arrived and checked in without any issues. We were given a discount card for food and drink which was great and completely unsolicited. But I later discovered I’d be signed up to Radisson’s loyalty scheme without my permission to get this. Not the best start. We informed them we were booked in for afternoon tea and dinner and were given all the directions. Lift to room. Wow how weird is the layout of room 530! Pilar right in the middle of the room with a large tv hanging very precariously from it. There’s minimal space between the pilar and the bed, so mind your head! And if you put something in the bin under the desk and you’re not paying attention, you’ll very likely hurt yourself on the corner of it! Everything about the room is very tired. Scuffs on everything. Stains on the carpet and the chairs. Safe didn’t work which meant carrying my tablet down to lunch and dinner. The bathroom isn’t much better. There should be a light around the mirror but I couldn’t find a switch. Don’t wait until you come out the shower to look for the spare towels, they’re next to the entrance door outside the bathroom. I’m unsure why when there are a lot of adequate empty shelves in the bathroom. The shower isn’t great with minimal water pressure and the shower door opens out, so you can’t leave the bath mat outside the shower door. You need to get it after you’ve opened it, so careful not to slip with your wet feet. The bathroom has lovely glass tiles dividing it between the bedroom. Nice until someone goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night and puts the light on! Bedroom then gets the brilliantly badly designed benefit of that light also. There is tea and coffee fashioned into the black pillar in the centre of the room. There’s a light at the back that either didn’t wort or I couldn’t find the switch for. So my phone light was needed to see what was in there! Don’t wait to the last second to look for the hairdryer. There wasn’t one in our room and I had to call reception to get one. Food...afternoon tea was delicious! The savouries were particularly good! However when we arrived they didn’t have our booking. Which is odd when we booked the hotel, dinner and afternoon tea over the phone at the same time. Anyway, they will of course set a table for us in the lovely room at the back and please wait while they do. No drink offered while we waited. The room was lovely but it could be better. The tables needed a good clean and there were stains all over the cushions. There was a fire on though which was and lovely but needed. Cup had a chip on it which was very obvious! We received the prosecco but had to then ask for the tea after we’d received the food. Just let us know if you need anything else they said but never came near us again. If you want anything you’d need to go looking for someone in the bar. Dinner...there were 3 couples including ourselves and one single gentleman in for dinner. So it was extremely quiet. There only appeared to be one girl serving which they just about got away with. Starters and drinks ordered. There was a little wait and the starters arrived. We had to ask for the drinks. Apparently they’d run out of prosecco but they were sorting that out. Fine but we still had to wait for the other wine ordered. Sadly the starters were shocking! Fish pate was full of bones and the carrot and ginger soup was so full of ginger I literally couldn’t eat it. This was swapped without any quibble. The chicken pate was just ok! We both ordered chicken for main and it was very good. Chips were also great and the side of veg was cooked to order without butter. My husband had date pudding and said it was the best he’d ever had. To round off the night we thought we’d go to the bar for a cocktail however it was so cold that we decided to take the drinks to our room. This was a mistake because they were both so bad. We would have sent them back if we had sat down there. The syrup in one cocktail was so overbearing it was undrinkable. Breakfast was massive. So much choice, as they advertise. They also do made to order food. All in all, despite all the staff being extremely lovely, we definitely won’t be back. I like an itison to try new places and then we often revisit the places we like best. This sadly won’t be on our list."

My friend and I had a fantastic afternoon tea today. The food was unlimited and included tea, coffee, and a bottle of prosecco in the Itison deal. The staff were attentive and the food was delicious.

We ordered the Leek Potato Soup as our startup, Roast Chicken Breast (with haggis turnip mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables peppercorn sauce) for our meal and Chocolate Fondant dessert. Everything was very good and the service was friendly and responsive.

A well situated hotel within a close distance from the shops and landmarks. Room was fine. However on both nights we stayed there was horrendous noise from another room on floor3. They decided to have a party which was still ongoing at 2.30am. Reception could have been much more helpful just saying sorry! Very disappointing!! View menu

We attended for afternoon tea today very disappointing. The sandwiches were cheese and Puckle tuna in white brea no mayonnaise in stale bread and a wrap with ham and soacked in mayonaise just what you would have at home. We had to ask for what was suppose to be on the menu Quiche and tiny bagels they made us a Quiche no bagels. All the cakes were chocolate so if you don't like chocolate ypu wouldn't have any would not recommend.

Arrived early on Monday morning, table for two and WOW what a breakfast. There was nothing they didn't have. It's been the best, hotel spread I've seen in a long time. The atmosphere in this place is amazing. There was something for everyone Continental, Cooked, Yoghurt drinks, bakery, fresh smoked salmon. You couldn't want for anything. A massive thank you to Martin who served us and I will most definitely be back in the future.

I recently had a group stay at the hotel and we dined at the restaurant a few times. The food was excellent, compliments to the chef and team. Special commendation to the AMAZING Food and Beverage Manager, Adrian, who is one of the most friendly, helpful, and hardworking managers I have encountered in 5 and 4 star hotels worldwide. His customer service standards are exceptional and greatly appreciated. Thank you to Adrian and his team. Truly impressive! Radisson Blu, you have a valuable asset in Adrian. View menu

My friend treated me to an afternoon tea, informing the restaurant that I was vegetarian and gluten-free. The afternoon tea was served buffet-style and looked lovely. Despite my friend reminding the staff about my dietary restrictions, I was given four sandwiches on regular bread with salad fillings. After sitting for 30-45 minutes without anyone checking on us, we had to ask for more tea and for two of the sandwiches to be wrapped up. I also had to inquire about gluten-free options, to which the response was that they would check with the kitchen. Despite my friend giving two weeks notice and reminding them the day before about my dietary needs, it seemed like they were not adequately prepa...

Been for many afternoon tea in Glasgow and beyond. This is the first time ever at a buffet style one. We got a voucher for Christmas. Tea and coffee included upgrade to prosecco or cocktails. Extensive selection of hot and cold savoury snacks. Mull cheddar and tomato tart fab, hubby loved the haggis sausage rolls, also pastrami sandwich, ham hock sandwich -his second favourite, prawn Marie rose sandwich, cream cheese sandwich and egg sandwich with far too much raw onion hence the one star down as it would have been better just with the cress. Scones and hot cross buns we passed. Cakes fab selection chocolate mousse cake, chocolate tart, strawberry tart, chocolate pots, cup cakes, tarts, mango...
