"from both of us I found eating at elenas to be totally acceptable, but the price-performance ratio is a bit ho-hum. the photos of the stars that decorate the walls gives him a certain charm, but the bright lighting makes nothing for the shaded color job that lurking behind the mugs, and I felt, giving the place a caffe feeling. Some candles and somewhat lower lighting could go the inner further. I think the attention to small details makes customers appreciate. for example, why not use stainless steel eis eimer instead of plastic, which I enjoyed the chicken liver parfait, served with roasted brioche and chutney. so good. I had a fleshy piece of tea for the main, well presented and cooked...read more"

"We were a large family group meeting up for a post Christmas celebratory lunch. There were only 2 other diners apart from us, but the food still took ages to arrive and was overcooked and barely warm when it did. Grilled tiger prawns were tough and dry and the vegetarian option provided a scant 2 slices of halloumi hardly a main course portion. From such a long established restaurant with a solid reputation for quality the reason we chose it it was all hugely disappointing. I can only assume the kitchen was not fully staffed in the period between Christmas and New Year."

"It was a busy Friday evening but we found service to be fairly speedy. The waitress who looked after us was lovely with a winning smile. I had the falafel burger with sweet potato fries, I found it delicious. I am a vegetarian and it would be nice to have a bit more veggie choice on the menu? The Clements cocktail were lovely. Just one tiny criticism was we found the music a tad loud but then being of the older generation we realise it may just be an 'age ' thing. All in all we felt very well cared for and the bill was very reasonable."

"I ordered a turkey gobbler sub and was surprised to find it made with smoked turkey and without jellied cranberry sauce. Unfortunately, the sub was quite disappointing and very salty. My friend paid for it, so I didn't voice my concerns at the time, but the shop really needs to improve their sub-making skills. I used to run a deli, and our turkey gobblers were definitely worth reordering, unlike this one."

"Some GF options in the main menu including Fish Chips. They also said they had GF halls to make burgers. No GF children's meals on the menu, but the staff said they could do something for us. Dedicated frit for chips. Also a few GF desserts, even sticky toffee pudding! When we called beforehand, they seemed understandable about cross-contamination, etc. My daughter really enjoyed her fish chips."

"the first time we tried this today, we were separated from annie, which was a beautiful lady, brilliant at her job and made us feel very welcome and eat banged. it was nice to eat in a restaurant where all employees seemed well organized, efficient and happy to be there. we had a start porn, thick shake and floorless drink came about £27 a head good the money worth."

"Went for lunch. Restaurant not busy. Staff were fine though one had difficulty understanding English. Manager was effective and took order. Food at best was average. Chicken soup was cold so was sent back. Salt beef was average and lookedtAsted overcooked and “tired”. Tongue was nice. All was sent back as was cold. Dessert of lockshen pudding was highlight. My colleague had salt beef sandwich which he enjoyed. Had not been to HM for years but think they could do better b"

"Great food but slow service, asked for condiments but didn't arrive so asked another server, food stacked up on the hot plate waiting to go out but no one was servicing, they were just interested in getting more people in and seated. Food arrived after 30 minute wait and tasted great, all food cooked to order. Overall: great food, poor service"

"When we arrived and sat down half of the menu wasn’t available. The staff seemed disinterested with serving and refilling drinks and we had to constantly try and get staff attention for help. To make things worse, there was only around 5 other tables being used so not the busiest of afternoons. When our food eventually arrived after about an hour waiting, the food was cold and looked like there was the other half of the meal missing. Unfortunately with young children with us, we had jo option but to eat what we could and get out as soon as we could. Considering that the restaurant is in prime location next to legoland and sealife for families, we did not feel welcome at all and will not be returning after this experience."

"The food was lovely and tasted amazing!! when we got seating, we didn’t get told how to order and we waited for 10 minutes before someone took our order. same thing happened after we finished our meal . We waited 10/15 minutes for them to clear the table, when it came to paying the bill , we ended up sitting there for 15/20 minutes before they noticed that we were waiting for the bill. We would of asked but we could only see 2 waiters and they were having a chat with each other and not noticing anything going on around them."

"Staff seemed like they would rather be anywhere else then working. We went for breakfast around 10:45am and waited over 20 minutes for at least drinks to be ordered. In the end we had to flag down a miserable looking server who had such a bad attitude and ask her to take our order. Waited nearly half an hour for the food and it wasn’t anything special. For 3 adults to have one plate of breakfast and one child, 3 coffees and a tap water it was over £43! I wouldn’t call that worth it! Specially as there is a pub nearby that does the exact same but cheaper and better quality."

"We arrived 15 minutes late, and the manager told us he would not serve us. While it is clearly our fault for being late, I have never been refused service for arriving 15 minutes late. First, we were told our table was given to someone else since they didn’t know if we were coming (we’d called confirming a few hours prior). Later, the manager told us the chef had decided to leave because we were late. The two stories don’t make sense together, and we were ultimately left frustrated and hungry. The manager said he would be nice and not charge us because we arrived in the end... So courteous of him!"

"After reading real good reviews, I had been waiting to check this place out for quite sometime now and finally today I did! I mean c 'mon now, the only grilled cheese sandwich shop in London! Who wouldn 't wanna go? Food: grilled cheese it is. A tiny cute place with a very appealing menu. We ordered Mac 'n 'cheese, BBQ Chicken and Portobello Mushroom. For the price of around £5 each it wasn 't bad at all! Though we were expecting something more fancy but it 's cheap and it 's cheese AND we were completely stuffed with just one. My friend who got the one with chicken didn 't find it that great to be honest. Maybe because of all the raised expectations and imagination. Service: the staff was really polite and nice. Full points to them! Ambience: the bright yellow and white tiny shop definitely gives a very nice vibe. Definitely worth a try!"

"Me and my girlfriend have been coming here for nearly a year and the food is always perfection. Joe and Jesse are incredibly attentive and are the nicest couple we've met. Regardless of if you're a regular like us or a first timer, you'll feel very welcomed and you won't regret going elsewhere for a bite to eat. The wrappers delight is our go-to and it's simply amazing! Their other wraps are also delicious and their sweet treats are incredible (especially the biscoff rocky road). Theres something for everyone and that includes vegetarians, vegans and even those on a keto diet. We often stay for at least an hour after we've eaten just to catch up with Joe and Jesse as they treat their customers like a giant family and we always look forward to coming back, especially to see Jackson, the most adorable and friendly pug you'll ever meet!"

"At Poms on Friday 13th October for evening meal with extended family. Apparently the sirloin steak was perfect and also salmon risotto was super. The rest of us had fish and chips with accompaniments. It is a lo g time since such a good fish and chips, really was lovely. I Didn 't find the boxes it was served in very eater friendly . Not comfortable at all with that, though the presentation WAS impressive. The staff were delightful. All in all a good experience. Would definitely return."

"It can be the bad relationship of the most elegant restaurant Le Club Gascon next door. The menu can be a little limited and the service a little slow. But the waiters here also double as food preparers, not only giving the last touches to the food perhaps cooked in a shared kitchen, but in the case of the dessert of the day tightening through the nozzle of a gun the creamy fillers in the leafy cakes. The menu of the day appeared on an external board like 10 for a more dessert incoming and only 3 extra for a first glass of wine that I described slightly differently in the printed menu as 3 for an incoming, 8. 50 for a main dish and 3 for a dessert. The menu changes weekly. Today it started with a beautifully marmoleated ham teat with salad and crunchy bread. The main part of the steak of smoked eglefino was a bit disappointed by its slightly disappointing potato pieces, but completely redeemed by its mushroom sauce. The piece of resistance, however, was, possibly, the profiteroles both in terms of flavor and presentation. A double espresso coffee cane with a chocolate cake that complements the profiteroles very well. With the French cuisine of this quality, where could you find a better lunch offer anywhere in London?"

"Very friendly staff greeted us when we arrived. The food was delicious, especially the burger which is one of the tastiest I have ever had. Will definitely go back, especially as it was difficult to decide what to have from the menu as everything sounded so good. Quirky restaurant that will be great to take more friends to. Looking forward to going back!"
