"During our first visit to the Cottage Inn, we discovered a wonderfully friendly pub that we will certainly return to on our next trip to Filey. My wife decided to head to the bar (a change of pace for her, haha), and she came back with a big smile on her face. It turns out that the owner shares a similar upbringing to my wife, which added to the warm atmosphere. Unfortunately, meals were not being served during our visit, but if everything goes back to normal, we look forward to enjoying a meal there as well."

"Popped in yesterday for drinks and today for drinks and a carvery whilst staying up the road. What an amazing pub. Yesterday was good but today, wow. The food was amazing, costumers very welcoming and landlord gave us logs for our fire pit. Highly recommend and will definitely visit if we come back this way… thank you x"

"This morning, I received an unexpected call from my parents, and we ended up enjoying another delightful Sunday lunch at the Rendham White Horse. The roast beef was incredibly tasty, and everything was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is excellent. It's quickly becoming one of our favorite dining spots. "This local pub features two pool tables, one of which is located behind the bar, and offers a good selection of drinks. The customer service is friendly, and there are a few pub dogs, which adds to the charm. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to try the food. It's also a kid-friendly place. "I had a wonderful experience with the very friendly staff during my week-long stay in Bossiney Bay. I enjoyed a drink every day, and while I didn't try the food, it looked delicious when it was served to others. Thanks for the drinks on my last night! Nearby, there are great activities, especially for castle enthusiasts. Overall, I would rate the service a 5 and the location a 5 as well. Hotel highlights include great value."

"I heard this was open as some of my family told me well worth a visit and man oh man im glad we came in. I had the cream tea and my partner had tiger prawns from the lite bites. A latte and a mermaid gin for drinks. My partner was very pleased with her choice which came with a small side salad and lovely bread roll. My cream tea was brilliant. The scones were the best I have ever tasted and I did tell the staff they were the best scones on Planet earth. Nice warm scones with a tasty cream and awesom jam. This also came with strawberries which were nicely chilled and full of flavour. All in all a beautiful building, delicious food and drink and couldn't ask for more friendly and helpful staff. Just under £21 a fair price too. Will definitely visit again."

"A lot of miscommunication with my booking was told id have to move rooms after one night when I rang in advance and was told everything was all set and ready for when i got there then got a room that I didn't want at all and didn't like when it was booked the next day so i said ill take the next best room but gave me the one i least wanted so im in the loft and its not what i expected compared to the other rooms as pictures described. Staff was lovley and atentive."

"A friend and I stayed here for the Burghley Horse Trials, which was about a 30 minute drive away. The hosts Daena Leo, who have been running The Bull Inn for the last few months were fantastic. They are both really friendly and accommodating. We wanted to be away to Burghley before breakfast on Saturday, so they very kindly gave us a box of fruit and pastries on Friday night to take with us. Room was clean and comfortable, food in the pub restaurant was nice as was the cooked breakfast. Food, beer and room prices were good value. Locals were really friendly and welcoming too. We were really happy with our stay and will definitely stay here again when we are next in the area."

"Started using them in 2019 when we moved to Lenham and they were delicious. Everytime I've gone in the last year it's just got worse and worse in my personal opinion. I know things are costing more but when you pay £10 for a meal you expect it to actually fill you up. The sizes have shrunk considerably. At one point I had to go back as was given less than a handful of chips when I'd purchased a medium. A large Donna kebab with less meat than the last small I bought. I keep giving them a chance but I think I will just leave it now. Just a shame there are no other options locally."

"We stopped by for a meal after hiking Ingleborough and both of us ordered the Sunday Roast, which turned out to be disappointing. While the meat was good, the potatoes, vegetables, and stuffing were tough, and the Yorkshire pudding was so burnt that it was inedible. I noticed other diners at nearby tables had also left their meals. We mentioned our concerns to the waitress, but she didn’t seem particularly interested. The pub itself had a nice atmosphere, though."

"Unable to visit our usual dining place in the area (they don’t take dogs inside), The Old Crown came up as our wet weather alternative. Taking dogs, easy booking online, warm welcome, delicious food. I had a salad which was more like a ploughman’s, and it was probably the most delicious ploughman’s I’ve had. Often the bread is really dry this was warm, soft. The cheeses, ham, pickles went well together. We will return to the Old Crown. A good find courtesy of the English “summer”!"

"Found this place online for Sunday breakfast and rode here on our motorbikes... and being a Sunday morning we were able to park outside. It has a charmingly quirky, retro style. Very friendly welcome from the staff and lovely service. The meals tasted great and were excellent value. We sat in the well-planted garden, although there was also indoor seating, because it was a hot, sunny day. Tables had parasols. Trees and shrubs provided some dappled shade and we heard the church bells striking the hour and quarters. Really nice ambience. Highly recommended and we'll definitely be here more often."

"This place was visited in connection to my uncle's funeral. After the church service, then a walk to the cemetery and back, we went to The Plough Inn for the wake. This place was comfortable and the room that we were in was for our party. There was food provided and there were also drinks available (somebody had paid for the drinks for us all). Also there was tea and coffee available as well. The food provided included open sandwiches, sausage rolls, pork pies, scotch eggs, crisps, scones, cheesecake, etc. They even did pie, peas and gravy. All was very nice indeed. A nice comfortable place. Staff was very pleasant. A nice afternoon catching up with family, but due to unfortunate circumstances."

"Terrible customer service and chewy fish! Ordered via deliveroo, everything fine untill we was serving our meals and missing a fish and chips £13.50) and a jumbo sasuage £3.50) to be told to contact deliveroo for a refund, asked why, told they cant give refund as its deliveroos problem, they dont have the drivers. When trying to explain that the delivery isnt the problem and that its there problem having not fulfilled our order, she repeatedly kept saying we have no driver's, claim a refund through deliveroo! Barney's plaice couldnt give two hoots about its customers who order via delivery. Safe to say we will NOT be returning due to this as well as the chewy fish and over priced!"

"Stopped off after hiring a canal barge for the day for a bite to eat with our little dog who was made to feel more welcome than us beautiful food, they made her some little sausages which she shared with a dog next to us!
