"Before starting an eight days holiday in Prague my twin brother Stephen and I decided to have a weeks holiday in York taking in all the great sites to be found in this city and visit all the great pubs that York is justifiably famous for. This is such a great looking pub ,the interior is superb, the main room is dominated by an island style serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings ,tv 's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub ,it 's just a really good pub to unwind in. We were here on a cold and rainy Thursday night ,pub was busy with a great atmosphere ,a quick study of their real ale 's and my twin brother Stephen and I both opted to have Timothy Taylor 's Brewery landlord ,these were served in excellent condition,we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. My pale ale was really good ,a golden ale, crisp, well balanced ,hoppy with a great aroma and aftertaste ,so easy to drink ,a classic British pale ale served in a classic British pub. We both really enjoyed our pale ale 's in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to The Slip Inn we had a great time. The Slip Inn is easy to locate along Clementhorpe . Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday,2pm till 11pm. Friday Saturday, midday till midnight. Sunday, midday till 10.30pm. A great pub, well worth seeking out if you 're in the area."
