"Very nice place and very friendly staff. The food was good and tasty: tried the sea bream and was delicious, the burrata on the sharing board starter was very similar to the original Italian one and on the same quality was the sharing dessert! A few things I did not particularly like: the table, it feels more like a bar than an actual restaurant in fact you could get an high table with stools instead of chairs; most of the finest wine bottles were not available when we visited (15/4/23 ; and, generally the food was slightly overpriced compared to what you can find in other places in Edinburgh (e.g Cote, Bread Street, etc. . Overall I did really enjoy the evening and I'll definitely come back to try the pasta and the cannoli that unfortunately were also not available. Recommended!"

"THIS WAS MY FIRST TRIP TO A TGI FRIDAY RESTAURANT. I WAS SHOCKED AT THE OVERPRICED MEALS ON THEIR MENU. THE QUALITY OF THE MEALS WAS POOR, I WOULD SAY TO MAXIMISE PROFIT. MEALS NO BETTER THAN MCDONALD'S BUT COSTING MORE THAN TWICE AS MUCH. QUANTITY IS ALSO SKIMPY ESPECIALLY FRENCH FRIES. I WAS SO ANGRY AT HAVING TO PAY £106 POUNDS FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR ADULTS AND A TWO YEAR OLD BABY AND WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE DRINKS OR DESERTS. I WOULD HAVE COMPLAINED AND WALKED OUT WHEN I SAW WHAT I WAS PAYING FOR BUT FELT CONSTRAINED BY THE FAMILY. EXAMPLE :SMALL FRIES (McDonald sized portion) TWELVE SMALL SQUARES OF BREADED CHICKEN With WORCESTER TYPE DIP Costing £17.95- ABSOLUTE RIP OFF. I WILL NEVER VISIT A TGI FRIDAY'S AGAIN. "Ordered a takeaway breakfast on a Friday morning as it was packed and we didn't want to be on top of each other. It took quite a while to come and when it did, there was no butter on the toast and the eggs were...cooked through and not runny. "Maybe 3 years since we’ve been still meh. Lobster ravioli well cooked, well seasoned m, sauce a bit thin. Mushroom fettuccine very good. Starters mixed. Meatballs, humus decent, mackerel and pickled veg didn’t work, nothing to balance the tart flavours of the veg. Deserts a step down or two from a Gu pudding in the supermarket. Sticky toffee pudding and the plums were fine but made without any love, care or attention. What will stop us returning any time soon was the service. Trying to catch someone’s eye like a teenager at a disco to get any attention isn’t fun at the best of times. When you pay £320 for 6 which includes three children and an octogenarian who had one glass of wine, it’s frustrating at best but rude and showed a lack of training. It’s just . . . Meh. But not cheap meh"

"excellent in front of the house, waitress, eating and atmosphere. our waitress explained everything we have ordered and even showed us a meatboard and spoke to us through the various meat cuts. we enjoyed our meal my lambship just melted in my mouth. my negroni cocktail and the weeping we had with our meal were before place. will definitely recommend revisit and. the surprise in my desert shows that the workers hear what customers say when a booking."

"there was an increase in the amount of burger places from late, no longer makes the standard chicken or 1/4 peer cut it with the average foodie. uptown burger is one of the new restaurants in leyton, near sawara grill and the famous gyms kitchen. inside is a little more beautiful space, large exposed brick wall and simple decoration. I came here on a Saturday afternoon, in which is a lunch special, classic American burger, chips and drink for £5.99 I ordered lamb cups, they were on the small side, but they were tasty, a BBQ style taste to them. the burger was a good size, there were no gimmicks like loaded burger (ilford) it was easy but delicious. it was not excellent with regard to aromen, but it was very pleasant. I would definitely come back to try another burger from the main menu. food 4 worth 4.5 service 3.5 atmosphere 3.5"

"Lunchtime Indian seemed a good idea after a good walk in the morning, rather tired surroundings but decided to give it a go since you cannot always judge the quality of the food by the surroundings, however I was quite wrong. The vegetarian platter was 2 x samosa’s and a load of onion bhajis, technically a mix but far below what you would typically expect. The salad accompanying it was obviously in mourning for the summer having passed and seemed about as depressed by the decor than we were. The mains came with all the flair of a wet flannel. Soggy rice masquerading as pilau, mains ok but tasted as if the gravy came out of a bottle. Wife liked her vegetables so some consolation. The naan seemed more like a paratha and certainly had never seen the inside of a tandoor. If you love Indian food, steer well clear, it does not taste like the chef does!"

While staying at the Mal Maison in Newcastle, a receptionist recommended Gusto to me as it was nearby and had impressed them with its service and food quality in a guest mystery diner challenge. They offered me newspapers, magazines, and were willing to engage in conversation, which I found impressive.
