"We went for the brunch menu which we have had before and me and my partner brought friends who where over from Ireland. I dont why it had changed from the way is used to be set up but it was terrible, the food to help your self too wasnt even ready and out when we turned up so we had to wait before we could get any soup and bread, then range of starters was tiny and terrible but just in bigger bowls than it used to be. It was about 15 minute wait for the bread rolls, and then took the staff over 20 after we had finished the soup before relaising we had and asled if we wanted the roast which took over 15 minutes to come out and even when it did the veg was burnt and discoloured, things where missing off 3 of the 4 plates and one of my friends didnt eat any of it as it was that bad. A couple behind us didnt eat much of theres and a table of 20 there for a birthday also complained about thr tiny selection of starter food but when they did the chief brought a larger selection out which annoyed us further as we didnt get a the offer of a bigger selection. The staff didnt have a brain cell between then, tables where left dirty for over hald a hour and they still where sorted properly when we left. We had to clear our own plated into the bar so we had some room and there was plenty off staff but the women just followed each other round like lost sheep. The only one with a braincell was the guy who was the manger but even then he couldnt do it all on his own or manage the staff well. We where told the way that is set up is going to change again and it wont even be an all you can eat section and just set course meals. We will not be back again and will be telling people not to go either"

"the royal sovereign revolves around the last punk-friendly pubs in hackney. it looks and feels like years ago, and there are native, including old punks that have been there for years. what is new is the day time eating service. Please note that I say day time, because unfortunately this cafe closes at 16 o'clock! cafe so vegan is guided by a few passionate vegans, as not only shown in the joy that they show to make so good food, but in the talk about it with them! I loved the view of the cook face as they described future bake creation plans! the menu is made by their personal favorites like makkaronikäse and French toast. cauliflower nuggets and swirl rings are as good as I had on every super posh place. my companions had the breakfast burrito and then had difficulty managing each dessert. I polished from the Makkaroni cheese that came in a generous part and almost beaten reminding of my mother version in my childhood (see photo.) I will return soon to try the quiche. there are many sweet things not so many without refined sugar unfortunately. their Hackney salads come from the local bio-force crew. if they choose a sunny or even not rainy day to their is a large outdoor sitting area from the back. the pub was super quiet what I think is why pubs close as fast as DVD rental shops, but this caffe deserves to survive. if it were open in the evening, I would be here tonight! updated from the previous review on 2016 07 16"

"Came here with family (2 x adults and 3 kids) We came across a halal restaurant on google and decided to visit it as the reviews were very good and we were not disappointed. We went on a Friday evening expecting it to be busy...but when we arrived approx. 7pm it was empty. The venue is probably popular as take away food as there were constantly deliveroo drivers waiting for food and taking it away. We were a bit sceptical about the restaurant but decided to see how it goes. They only accept cash but luckily I had a couple of Bob on me. The location isnt in your traditional restaurant place so that could be reason for being less busy. We all ordered the burgers and chips with drinks. The wait for the food was approximately 20 for the food to come out but we put that down to the take away food being prepared and given to the drivers. We weren't in any rush. I had the Mexican chicken which was fantastic! I really enjoyed the burger it had grilled chicken, salsa, with nachos, and some salad in a soft bun. The fries were really nice which had the skin on but still tasted really good. My wife had the beef and pulled lamb and the lamb was delicious, large chunks of lamb were in the burger and she took out quite a lot to share around and there was still plenty left in the burger. The kids ate beef burgers and were happy. We also ordered juice which was fresh as it was made with fresh ingredients and were cut in front of us. Overall really happy with the meal and the service would definitely recommend."
