"my friends and I visited the cuvee viii last week for a place to lunch. we thought as eating out to help was still on, we would test a little fancier than our typical high street restaurant chain. the best decision. adrian and another beautiful waitress sat my friends until I arrived, and took us in the inner, when a few people started to smoke on their terrace. the decor in every room is beautiful! they have 2 bars, one closer to the terrace, and one before the entrance next to the it area they can eat in both rooms and each area feels like another experience. they even showed us the private room for the rent on the upper floor, which also has a bar and a stunning space. the terrace/outside area was nice, I would like to enjoy more, but they allow smoking (a little bit for me, unfortunately) it is still completely enclosed so that it does not escape like the smoke. Nevertheless, this does not take away from the beauty of this opposite, in cooler climates I can see that they have heating outside to warm it a little. this part is attached to a bar area that looks like an ingenious nightclub. next time I'll be in the dining room, as it gets colder out. very exciting, as they still participate in the regulation in september. I had the lobster mac n cheese, and my friends had the pizzeria and veggie burger. the chef is brilliant! later we learned that he was a Michelin Star chef who appeared on master chef. the merciful produced a beautiful **** for me, as I do not drink, and the cocktails of my friend were amazing after them. this is a legitimate cocktailable, with bar employees who really know what they do, our drinks were an artwork. I would give the personal, service, decor, eat, cleanliness and cook 5 stars. I enjoyed this tasty and will be back, it is soothing to see them regularly clean all the surfaces, the floor, and wear masks, the toilets we also very clean that is quite rare in the rule."

"A special Event in a special Restaurant. My Wife and I visited the Holiday Inn near Bolton town centre for a special birthday treat in early June 2016. We had pre booked a table in the superb Hardies Restaurant and on arrival we were quickly shown to our table by the very efficient young lady who looked after us all evening She was very attentive without being obtrusive, Starters were chosen, ordered, and delivered within about 15 minutes. Kathleen’s Pate was a rather generous portion and she declared that it was at least as good as any she had tasted before. My choice was deep fried Goats cheese, this was very authentic and enjoyable. For Mains we finally settled on A Lamb shank for Kath which she said was Amazing, whilst I settled for the superb Cod in batter with chips and peas, a simple traditional dish but beautiful and rather large portion. Desserts took us quite a few minutes to decide on. Kath chose Hot apple pudding with a vanilla sauce. I decided on a fresh fruit salad with ice cream served on a large platter I counted nine different fruits all seasonal and extremely fresh. We both tasted each other’s desserts the apple pudding was also very nice. The waitress offered us cheese and biscuits but quite honestly by this time we were to put it bluntly, stuffed. The verdict was a truly excellent meal, time to retreat to the adjoining bar for a pleasant hours relaxation. To conclude we made the right choice to have our special event at Hardies and we will definitely visit again. Thanks to all concerned."

"I look forward to our dinner booking in plas maenan. this is an honest review that is in no way intended to criticise the personal; they worked under a lack of management, insight and education. they literally ran from table to table, but could not deliver the promised service at the arrival we were asked to sit in a lounge before our table was finished. this suggested the raffinesse and the ambiente; but sitting on the table was clear that something was wrong. the set menu that was not available online, so we were not sure what was expected was on pp for two courses. everything should have been perfect. it was not the table had no cover, the cutlery was the wrong way round (folks to the right and knife to the left) on paper serviettes; the neighboring table had been vaccinated some time earlier and it was used to linen and teller on the table that these were cleaned halfway through our meal we took the set menu that was limited in the area. the selection was very similar to what we had found in two local pubs, although portion sizes and presentation suggested fine eating. that eating was okay, not exceptional and certainly not worth pp. a contemplative asked for her drink bill after she had waited too long for her order. instead of immediately dealing with the bill, the bill was delayed and the drinks were charged as a goodwill gesture that they should have been written off (but this is not my problem) our own order took long until the appetizers were served about minutes after our arrival at the restaurant. the quality was acceptable, but not noticeable and very overpriced (maybe for a starter.) after we finished, I was asked if I wanted to order the desert to which I pointed out that I would like to eat my main course first. the lamb was very similar to what I had seen in the evening before half the price in a local pub (maybe for the porn) we then went as soon as we could."
