"I made a reservation online 6 weeks in advance for an early dinner, but when we arrived, they had no record of it. After showing them the confirmation message, they were able to seat us as the dining room was empty. We had an early dinner and some menu items were already sold out. I ordered the beef roast dinner, which was good overall, but the roast potatoes seemed reheated and the parsnips were overcooked. My husband had the steak and mushroom pie which he found to be dry with hard pastry. The price of £48.00 for a pint of beer and a glass of wine felt a bit high for the quality of the food. We don't plan on returning due to our experience with the cooking."

"we had an absolutely magical evening. it was my friend's birthday and veronica and rhiannon took care of us so well! Veronica was excellent with her suggestions and recommended, not to mention her humor and her gast friendry as a whole! rhiannon was so beautiful and friendly to us, so patient with all the little questions and made the night so smooth for us. She even helped us to make some amazing pictures to immortalize the experience. eating was brilliant; absolutely delicious, came in good time, and very well prepared. compliments to the chefs! special word for the lychee sorbet and yuzu eis, for dying. also the beautiful birthday desert they gave us was fantastic! overall a brilliant experience 20/10"

"Upon our arrival, the waiter informed us that we did not have a reservation, even though we showed him confirmation emails and texts from OpenTable. He claimed to have checked at 4pm and our name was not on the list, therefore we could not be seated as they were fully booked. There was no apology, just a poor attitude. It was a very disappointing experience for our pre-show dinner, which we had booked almost a week in advance. We will not be making another reservation at this restaurant."

"I visited this restaurant and later booked and paid a deposit for a 21st birthday party. However, three weeks before the event, we received a call informing us that our booking had been 'mistakenly' double booked, apparently for a better offer (the other booking wanted the whole bar instead of just a section). The person handling the situation did not return my calls. They offered us an unsuitable venue nearby and a free lunch, neither of which were helpful as we only had three weeks to find another venue and had already sent out invitations. Overall, a disappointing experience."

"I was on Saturday 16th april. we were served by gosha who seemed not to enjoy her job at all with a posture. my friend ordered the only beer that was in the offer, and he didn't like it. instead of knowing and asking if he wanted. Something else wanted no! gave a look and went away. we had to ask for the prosecutor. I spoke to the man and she gave the 2 youngs 2 pints of something else. very appreciated. When it came to the bill, I said I didn't want to pay the service fee since I felt that gosha had posture and her answer was that I had the posture. I'm sorry, but I've eaten here a few times and visited the disco brunch with a group of girls before and without problems. will not come back, so treated"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time and found it to be rather small, but with amazing decor and service. The food selection was lovely and reasonably priced. I ordered the chicken and waffles, cheesy fries, and Mac and cheese. The Belgian waffles were too sweet for my liking, so I couldn't finish them. The chicken, fries, and Mac and cheese were delicious. I would definitely return to try a different branch (as this one is far from me) and explore more options on the menu, maybe the all day breakfast."

"When I first ate at this restaurant it was really good value for money as i booked the 50% offer. However on this occasion, the menu had changed and the prices have increased. Nevertheless, the food is tasty and not oily, but a bit too spicy. I t would be good if they could give the option on whether you want the dishes mild, medium or hot. Service was really good and quick. The staff are very attentive. I will definitely go again, but only if opentable or restaurant had the 50% offer!"

"My wife and I arrived at Jaggers at 11.40am today found a table and ordered two coffees and soon thereafter ordered two x smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough toast. The coffees arrived and we were asked to settle the bill at that time. Little did we know that the toast we had ordered would take 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive! We saw people that had sat down after us being served before we were. Apparently “the crepes are cooked in a different part of the kitchen”. The toasts were ok but the poached eggs not brilliant after waiting 70 minutes for them. The table staff were fine it wasn’t their fault but come on. How can it take that long to serve a relatively easy snack? We weren’t offered any discount at all and in fact warned a couple who sat next to us that we had been waiting for over an hour for our food. Awful service in that respect and I think we weren’t the only ones as a table of four next to us must have also waited over an hour to be served their (basically simple) food. Steer well clear. If we hadn’t paid up front we would have left the money for the coffees and walked!"

I will definitely be back as rare to find a place so welcoming, and that caters for our furry friend, the children, even our elderly mother in law would manage with the layout. "We recently dined at Newcastle Bloom and had a fantastic experience. It's a great spot for a girls' lunch with very attentive staff. I must mention the chef, as his creations were superb and the food was excellent. The only downside was that smokers tend to congregate near the door, which draws the smell back inside. Despite this, I highly recommend this place to everyone. We'll definitely be returning soon!"

"The restaurant should definitely implement separate queues for those with reservations and those without. When we arrived with a booking, it seemed like the staff were unsure of how to handle us. They were busy, which I understand, but we ended up sitting for 20 minutes without a menu. When we finally did get one, it was the wrong one. I tried to order a pizza, only to be informed that they don’t serve pizza in the evening. On the bright side, the burger we ordered as a side was good, and it was great to enjoy a meal out."

"booked via Booking.com last minute. we celebrated our 15th anniversary. Meg. Andrew,Luke and the team could not have been more friendly and friendly, and made our stay so a relaxing, wonderful holiday. we have booked a spacious room and it was really spacious, luxurious and decadent. it was so comfortable and impeccable clean. meg helped us with our luggage and brought us a glass prosecco for our jubilee, it was so friendly and very appreciated. luke helped us with our luggage at the departure and gave us 20% discount from our parking lot on the nearby safe q park on hannover st, right behind the hotel. eating is amazing with a fantastic brunch menu, recommend to book a table as it is very popular, eating is so good, we loved the eggs royale. also at night we gedimt and the pasta dishes are delicious and plentiful. loved the lemon balm cocktail! the chocolate brownies made with home at just £3 are all delicious, I had to bring home with me! beautiful small boutique hotel with bar and kitchen and in a great location near all the best liverpool sights, albert dock practically in front of the door, recommend the beatles magical mystery tour, ferry over mersey, cavern club and candlelit jazz in the big shankly hotel and the whole. highly recommended! it was great."

"We were worn out from gardening , too tired to prepare a meal. Rang this cafe and asked if they did take out. Yes was the pleasant reply. Ordered liver and bacon which came with onions ,peas, mashed potatoes and gravy. Also lasagna which came with chips or rather those thin little fries) which I don’t like , also salad and garlic bread. The lasagna was one of the best I’ve ever had spot on. Salad had a nice dressing, garlic bread tasty.We couldn’t find fault with the liver meal served with a large pot of gravy. Good sized portions .Can recommend if you want something a little different from the usual takeouts."
