"Upon our arrival, the waiter informed us that we did not have a reservation, even though we showed him confirmation emails and texts from OpenTable. He claimed to have checked at 4pm and our name was not on the list, therefore we could not be seated as they were fully booked. There was no apology, just a poor attitude. It was a very disappointing experience for our pre-show dinner, which we had booked almost a week in advance. We will not be making another reservation at this restaurant."

"I visited this restaurant and later booked and paid a deposit for a 21st birthday party. However, three weeks before the event, we received a call informing us that our booking had been 'mistakenly' double booked, apparently for a better offer (the other booking wanted the whole bar instead of just a section). The person handling the situation did not return my calls. They offered us an unsuitable venue nearby and a free lunch, neither of which were helpful as we only had three weeks to find another venue and had already sent out invitations. Overall, a disappointing experience."

"This is our third visit for dinning and again service and food were excellent , this time we had the steak , I had good intentions just to have a burger ,but the fillet steak was probably some of the best I've had ,and cooked to perfection ,I had mine medium rare and the girlfriends was medium .No starter because I wanted to try a dessert , but was nearly full so we shared one and again it was lovely ."

"I visited this restaurant for the first time and found it to be rather small, but with amazing decor and service. The food selection was lovely and reasonably priced. I ordered the chicken and waffles, cheesy fries, and Mac and cheese. The Belgian waffles were too sweet for my liking, so I couldn't finish them. The chicken, fries, and Mac and cheese were delicious. I would definitely return to try a different branch (as this one is far from me) and explore more options on the menu, maybe the all day breakfast."

"My wife and I arrived at Jaggers at 11.40am today found a table and ordered two coffees and soon thereafter ordered two x smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough toast. The coffees arrived and we were asked to settle the bill at that time. Little did we know that the toast we had ordered would take 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive! We saw people that had sat down after us being served before we were. Apparently “the crepes are cooked in a different part of the kitchen”. The toasts were ok but the poached eggs not brilliant after waiting 70 minutes for them. The table staff were fine it wasn’t their fault but come on. How can it take that long to serve a relatively easy snack? We weren’t offered any discount at all and in fact warned a couple who sat next to us that we had been waiting for over an hour for our food. Awful service in that respect and I think we weren’t the only ones as a table of four next to us must have also waited over an hour to be served their (basically simple) food. Steer well clear. If we hadn’t paid up front we would have left the money for the coffees and walked!"

"Such a lovely Bistro, dog friendly too! We shared the fish platter, it was delicious. The children were happy with the kids menu, and loved the chocolate brownie. I will definitely be back as rare to find a place so welcoming, and that caters for our furry friend, the children, even our elderly mother in law would manage with the layout. "visited jun2021 after a 10 miles walk. looked outside in the evening sun, gently sung by the sounds of stansted airport to convince the world that it was busy. this is a greene king pub, so that the quality is controlled, they know what they are. and safe, we got a friendly reception, good service, well maintained beer and good, middle-of-the-road-pub-rub. the pub is excavated for families. in these slightly fake lockdown times the pub has a large marquee for protected outdoor kitchen, filled with dozens of standard benches. there are also tables and chairs on a veranda for those of a middle class convince. menu is comprehensive. the prices are typical of greene king in the eastern englands. the pub was quite quiet on this locked Saturday evening, with perhaps 17 adult and 3 children, visible during our meal from our garden seat. it is in a quiet village."

"We recently dined at Newcastle Bloom and had a fantastic experience. It's a great spot for a girls' lunch with very attentive staff. I must mention the chef, as his creations were superb and the food was excellent. The only downside was that smokers tend to congregate near the door, which draws the smell back inside. Despite this, I highly recommend this place to everyone. We'll definitely be returning soon!"

"Devonshire Terrace is a hidden gem but still very close to the busy Liverpool Street station area. My friend and I enjoyed a pre-dinner cocktail and 3-course meal each plus a bottle of wine between us for approximately £50 each including service. The outside terrace was crowded and noisy (very warm day) so we opted for the quieter and cooler interior. Note the outside terrace is also covered so also suitable when the weather is more unpredictable. We both had the trout for the main course which was cooked perfectly and I would recommend."

"booked via Booking.com last minute. we celebrated our 15th anniversary. Meg. Andrew,Luke and the team could not have been more friendly and friendly, and made our stay so a relaxing, wonderful holiday. we have booked a spacious room and it was really spacious, luxurious and decadent. it was so comfortable and impeccable clean. meg helped us with our luggage and brought us a glass prosecco for our jubilee, it was so friendly and very appreciated. luke helped us with our luggage at the departure and gave us 20% discount from our parking lot on the nearby safe q park on hannover st, right behind the hotel. eating is amazing with a fantastic brunch menu, recommend to book a table as it is very popular, eating is so good, we loved the eggs royale. also at night we gedimt and the pasta dishes are delicious and plentiful. loved the lemon balm cocktail! the chocolate brownies made with home at just £3 are all delicious, I had to bring home with me! beautiful small boutique hotel with bar and kitchen and in a great location near all the best liverpool sights, albert dock practically in front of the door, recommend the beatles magical mystery tour, ferry over mersey, cavern club and candlelit jazz in the big shankly hotel and the whole. highly recommended! it was great."

"We had lunch at Smith’s. It’s one of those places where you enter and the first impression is mind blowing. The renovated building is beautiful and the location is quite unique, just by the river in Paddington basin area. The vibe when you walk in is great. Despite it being really busy, the service was super fast and efficient. And very friendly. We had the seasonal set menu and it was real good very convenient. There is an extensive selection of wine with a professional sommelier that can help you choose the right one for you, overall it was a magnificent experience."
