"Honestly the service was one of the poorest I have ever experienced from a so called michilen star restaurant based in Mayfair the initial waiter had no clue about the drinks or menu recommendations After we finally got around to getting a server who knew the menu, the food was average only standout wasabi prawns. Then they seemed to have forgetten our table we was left for 20 30mins with no server coming to clear it. At the beginning I told the waiter, I was looking forward to dessert! But after that I couldn’t wait to just pay get out of the place. Bang average and service absolutely poor! Won’t be coming back much better places in Mayfair!"

"Pungent smell of sweat from one member of staff.My starter arrived Over cooked on the outside and RAW MEET that had been not defrosted it was cold with blood in the middle. When I complained the non smelly member of staff accused me of being intoxicated (I was driving so no way) I offered to pay for the Popadoms I had recieved but I was manhandled out of the door. I Would only reccomend eating here to my very worst enemy."

"Portrait Gallery is consummate location to show off the city with a amazing view down Whitehall,with glass panelling surrounding the entire restaurant you are blown away by the view as soon as you vacate the lift on to restaurant floor. The Portrait restaurant affords you the relaxed setting to have not only a great view but welcomed conversation with your guests, unlike other restaurants here the environment is mellow rather then usual loud atmosphere of diners either clambering to talk to each other or the waiter. The staff are attentive and yet not over bearing, getting that balance of service and eloquence……..the location is another plus not only do you have one of London’s famous galleries downstairs but not a four minute walk are you from Trafalgar Square, were something is always happening.I decided to visit for breakfast having booked through opentable,where my request for a window table was honoured. "Everything was OK but it was a pity we felt so rushed. It's hard to relax and enjoy what one goes to a restaurant for the food, wine and a friend's or friends' company. We were continually asked how we were 'doing'', usually in the middle of a conversation. This became intrusive and irritating. One of the golden rules of good service is that a waiter waits for the appropriate moment to ask if everything is all right if he must. Even when it's done with discretion, I find the habit obtrusive. A good waiter or maitre d' should be able to gauge whether customers are happy and being well looked after without having to constantly ask for confirmation like a needy lover. That said, it was clear that the staff were under pressure to conform to Covid rules and cope with the approaching lockdown. In the circumstances they coped very well. As our last hoorah before a month's lockdown however, our dinner was disappointing and depressingly average. None of this would make me not recommend The Ivy Chelsea Garden. It's a lovely restaurant"

On my last trip, Vishal, our waiter was extremely professional and took the time to make us feel welcomed and explained each of the dishes. "I have been here multiple times and received nice food however upon my most recent visits I have been thoroughly dissatisfied. My most recent, and frankly most appalling, visit was today (15/09/22), I brought a family member with me after having recommended the burrito bar a few times; expecting to have a high quality experience. However, unfortunately, we did not. My family member was served first and successfully, they were treated wonderfully by the member of staff and seem rather happy with their meal. For me however, the female that served me had poor customer service skills, her voice was monotone, appearing rather bored, and her questions of what fillings I liked were not that clear. While wrapping my burrito the employee herself noticed the vast amount of liquid just pouring out of my mea and did nothing, it looked disgusting. After sitting down I opened up my burrito to mass amounts of liquid just dripping out, I don’t even know what it was! I struggled to eat my meal as it was falling apart alongside being wet and cold. My tortilla was just disintegrating due to how soggy it was. After finishing my hands were dripping in said liquid. The “spicy” beans tasted like watered down heinz and my chicken was not nice. My “tomato” rice also tasted plain. I did not enjoy my meal at all, the best part was my can of pop. This place is extremely hit or miss recently, I have no idea what has changed but it is no longer nice. I have also attached a photo of my family members meal who was prepared by the male member of staff. I did not enjoy my food at all but my family member “somewhat” enjoyed theirs at least."

"We had made a reservation at The Wilderness a while back, but unfortunately our plans were disrupted by COVID. Finally, we were able to visit for lunch on Saturday, and it was definitely worth the wait. We chose the ten-course tasting menu along with a couple of glasses of their 'hacked' wines. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco and water, and our meal began. The variety of dishes was outstanding; from crispy pig cheek with apricot gel, to steak tartare, turbot, and mackerel. Standout dishes included a delicious beetroot ice-cream with a rich ajoblanco, and a fantastic mushroom and 'bread pudding' that was like a gourmet version of mushrooms on toast. The service was excellent, each course was tasty, and the wines, especially the Chardonnay 2.0 and the Vermouth, were top-notch. While the meal was on the pricier side, the quality of the food, service, ambiance, and music made it all worthwhile."

"A very special restaurant with a fabulous view over Trafalgar Square and way beyond. A great menu with vegetation choices. A good wine list, but the bottles start just under £30.00. I made a mistake (and so did others) of leaving my coat and umbrella in the downstairs cloakroom, which closes before the upstairs (floor three), restaurant! I was told my coat and umbrella would be bought up to the restaurant cloakroom later but sadly this did not happen and it was a bit of a farce trying to retrieve my items at the end of the night! It is a little tricky to find floor three where the restaurant is situated. Basically enter through the main entrance, go up the stairs to the first level, walk all the way to the back of the room and you will see lifts at the end that will take you up to the restaurant. Definitely worth the trip but book first as this place gets busy."

"in the center of the medieval canterbury is an old and tasty restaurant, named for the famous Trapiste, which serves typical Belgian foods (although we are in england). this place is a cross between a bar, a tea room and a restaurant. besides a large selection of beers, they enjoy delicious dishes such as the exceptional burgers that are served with homemade brot, or the special tee with cream. the restaurant has a rustic feel, and each chair is another style. the terrace is magnificent, and there is even a pavillon, decorated with tiny lights that they feel like surrounded by stars in the midst of this beautiful medieval building. on the ground floor they find a piano with a sign that invites guests to entertain the audience with their musical talents. excellent service, with waiterven are always friendly and helpful."
