"We had dinner at Pont De La Tour recently. It is our favorite upscale restaurant in London. If we visit London and can fit in only one restaurant, this is the one. This is an elegant restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Tower Bridge....They usually have two,and three course set menus with a glass of wine at a reasonable price. This is a linen tablecloth restaurant with excellent service. The food is incredibly artistic and elegant. They have an extensive wine list, yet they have an excellent house wine, not on the list that is reasonably priced. It’s what we always order, especially if we are with another couple and multiple bottles will be consumed. There is a negative. The location is great, when you consider the view. The location is difficult if you need to get a taxi back on a busy evening. We asked the restaurant to call us one. The wait would have been about 45 minutes. Getting back to central ,London was a real challenge."
