Le Pont De La Tour - Menu

a very pleasant lunch. my man had the cattle cheeks and one of them was a bit over, but the other was excellent and so was the lobster. crepes suzette and tarte tartin were great. there were no hand towels in the gents. service was excellent.

I regularly visit customer dinner and was in many restaurants in london. a very important customer visited this week from Canada, and I wanted somewhere relaxed, but with great food and pont de la tour not disappointed. we had a wonderful meal, one of the best I had this year! I will be sure to visit again in the near future.

We had a wonderful evening with an amazing view on the Tower Bridge. The food was delicious, especially the duck. We were 1 hour late for the menu, but Khalid still offered us the menu (good price voor students). Khalid was very helpful and kind....We had an amazing last evening in London and will definitely recommend le Pont de la Tour.

It was a lovely evening, however, the waiter was a bit underhanded when it came to the Evening Standard meal deal. He offered us champagne but never told us that it wasn't included as the glass of wine that came with the meal, nor did he offer the free glass of wine. A bit of surprise when the bill came. When I questioned it he played dumb and never offered to take it off the bill.

Entree beef tartare was very garlic forward, so meat quality couldn’t be tasted well; side bread slices weren’t warm or toasted but rather cold which added no textural contrast. The steak was overly smokey, to the point that it had a burnt BBQ feeling. Dessert was a little bit depressingly cold and didn’t entirely standout. Cocktails were decent. However, table service and view were absolutely outstanding! Thank you Khaleed for serving us. I hope your throat is better now.

A large terrace and restaurant under Butler’s Wharf with great views of the Thames. Other bars and restaurants around were very busy, there were only 3 people outside Le Pont De La Tour so we decided to take our chance. It didn’t particularly start well...with us asking if we could have a drink and the young lady disappearing to ask if that was ok, even another colleague came out to ask if we were ok. When we got the ‘ok’ to sit down things did improve. Our drinks were good, extortionate prices but thats London. Wouldn’t rush back, I guess there is always a reason places are quiet……

Terrible service from start to finish,. Staff unfriendly and lacked atmosphere.Originally booked main restaurant but changed when I discovered only 1 veg option (2 of our party were vegetarians) I was advised to swap to the Bistro as there were more options !! not sure...why we could not simply stayed in the restaurant and ordered the vegetarian options from the Bistro menu ??? Waited for ages for service, bread butter etc ordered but never arrived, I ordered Steak and Frites and whilst I Know Bavette Steak is cheaper cut it can be cooked to be edible !! this was like eating shoe leather !! They mixed the drinks up ! and generally we felt the service was poor. Wouldn't go there again. Worst...

CONS: They charge for sparkling water TIP: I didn’t know who to tip,there were 4 different ppl who helped us. After I paid my bill which included a £25 fee, I left £20 and a man who only bagged my food pocketed it. I didn’t...like that but that’s also not a customer issue. Stop sending multiple ppl to a table. Send one. I’m not tipping 5 people. TO GO : they don’t have take away boxes. They had to put the food in a foil PROS: beautiful location, food was lovely. For starters we had the Crabe salad Cured salmon. Our mains were full lobster Cod Fillet with mash potato. EVERY DISH WAS AMAZING. We had dinner at Pont De La Tour recently. It is our favorite upscale restaurant in London. If we visit London and can fit in only one restaurant, this is the one. This is an elegant restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Tower Bridge....They usually have two,and three course set menus with a glass of wine at a reasonable price. This is a linen tablecloth restaurant with excellent service. The food is incredibly artistic and elegant. They have an extensive wine list, yet they have an excellent house wine, not on the list that is reasonably priced.
