"Food was almost 2 hours late, came cold, sauce had spilt, fries were half full with almost no peri on there were freezing cold. Had to call the shop up twice to get updates about my order and they’d just keep telling me 5 minutes the driver will be there. Ordered at 8pm my food came at 10:07. Disappointed"

"Awful, delivery nearly 45mins late, turned up stone cold. Missing items. Sent the food back. Calling the restaurant for over an hour, busy tone, obviously the phone is off the hook. Ordered at 6.30pm it is now 9.10pm. Ridiculous, they obviously have not heard of communication. Disgusted. The Kingsbury branch is superb will never order from the Wembley branch again. Also does your driver know there's a pandemic, its supposed to be contactless delivery and stay 2m apart."

"I had written a review for our meal on the JustEat app. I described our dinner as it was. Extremely disappointing. The chicken does not taste grilled, it tastes likes it has been roasted and then reheated. The lettuce and vegetables in the side salad were so old and wet and limp it was inedible, and they forgot the sauce we paid for which after reading their reviews they leave things out of many meals. There are several complaints regarding this. The rice was just mediocre and tasteless. It could definitely be compared to microwaveable rice from the grocery store. The chips were decent though, but I’m sorry it takes more than that. It just is not good food. That’s the bottom line. But here is the kicker, and please read further. When I wrote this very similar review on their justeat page, they came back with “it was a collection order so make sure you are on time. My husband was there FIVE minutes early. Do not try to blame the customer for your subpar, really bad food!!! And you didn’t even offer to refund for the missing sauce. So not only is your food bad, you’re thieves. Please order from anywhere but here. I look forward to seeing their reply. It’s a shame we can’t answer back on here."

"Ordered a moderate sized order whilst on night shift at hospital for myself and staff, did it through justeat to avoid mistakes getting made. That didn’t work. Ordered meal and Chickn and Rice box was missing, plus cold burgers. Phoned the store the next morning as they had already shut the night before to ask for refund on part of meal and one member of staff told me they couldn’t refund because it was from yesterday’s shift and they had no order history on the system (which I doubt very much, which restaurant doesn’t have a previous shift order details) tried fobbing me off and skirting around the problem. Said I could have a free rice box when I order again, don’t know what the point is with that if I don’t intend to order again. Just eats was **** as well dealing with it. They do alright food I haven’t had an issue before but this has made me hesitant to order again. I don’t know how you can miss something if it’s written down and on the customer receipt, if it was a mistake made after a phone order then fair enough but they either couldn’t be arsed making it or just didn’t bother double checking the order before delivering. Or could’ve been cos the staff love flirting with each other when they are on shift together and got distracted. Will claim my free meal back and but not order again after that tbh. Also not that I think I’m entitled to a discount or anything but never offered me a discount but when I went on the app the next morning they were offering 10% discounts on all orders but no discount for the previous night?"

"My partner and I placed an order for 2 x paneer and rice and despite normally going to the whippendell road branch we picked up from the high street. NEVER AGAIN!!! Don’t waste your money!! When we got home, there was absolutely no peri peri marinade or sauce. Effectively we bought 2 boxes of dry rice and cheese. When we called to complain initially we were told that, that was how it was meant to be and has always been. We knew this not to be true because 1 how can you sell a peri peri product with no peri peri ridiculous! And 2 we have been Pepe customers for years. They then made out they couldn’t hear us and the line went dead, so awful customer service or should I say no customer service on top of no peri peri... that’s how much they care about their customers. They tell them they’re wrong and then put the phone down on them!!! We called back and shared our thoughts on their “resolution” We were eventually and very begrudgingly offered 50% off our order, not that we even up eating it!!! We will never be going back and advise you don’t go either. We will now be looking for a new peri peri shop so any recommendations welcome : Please see attached pictures...."

"Would not recommend this store at all. Ordered a delivery costing just over £10, delivery driver turns up with no change and tried to take our £20 and wanted us to go to the store the next day to collect change. Very rude and intimidating not polite about it at all, offered to give him £10 and he could’ve come back to collect the rest and was told we had to go to the shop to get change as he was finishing his shift! Rung the store to speak to manger who told us we were in the wrong and they will never deliver to us again very rude and not well mannered at all. Waited an hour for food we didn’t even get, terrible service and poorly run!"

"After hearing a lot of good reviews of pepes I thought id go and see what the fuss was about so went star city as nandos ran out of chicken! I wish I went home instead and saved myself 50£ it taste horrible I waited 1 and hour hours for my food thought they was slaughtering the chickens themselves at one point Not only that as I walked in the staff told me to takeaway the food as they have no tables when on my right hand side their was 8 tables empty Food was nasty got order wrong If u want below average customer service and a long haul of food with below average food and sauce please feel free to go if u don't want that then stay away and spend money else where"

"Hello, I wanted to share my experience with Pepe's piri piri Chicken located at 154 Maybury Road, Woking, GU21 5JR. The food was okay but not amazing. We have had better burgers and wings from other places. The size of the burgers for £2.79 and £3.79 did not seem worth it compared to similar shops in the area. Paying £9.98 for 10 wings, which came out to almost £1 for each tiny wing, felt like a rip off. I felt like I was deceived and overcharged. When I called the store to inquire about the prices, I was told that delivery prices were different. I was only informed about the free delivery for orders over £15 within 3 miles from the restaurant after the fact. I was never told that prices for delivery were higher than the prices at the counter. If I had known, I would have opted to pick up my order instead. I have a copy of the printed menu and the receipt to prove it. I plan on reporting this to the council as I believe customers shouldn't be charged more than what is displayed on the menu. I will share my experience on review sites and social media to help others make informed decisions. Unfortunately, this will be my first and last visit to this shop. Others can decide for themselves after reading my comments. Good luck."

"Ordered a load of food from them and it was 30 mins later than the already long hour and 20 min wait. When it got here 2 of the 3 orders where wrong and where all stone cold and unedible. My partners chicken was raw in the middle and mine was cooked to a crisp. Called them up to rude staff clearly not caring and then lieing to me about any type of refund. Never order from here just check just eats reveiws too. Filed a complaint with just eat as they were a joke. Avoid like the plague"

"I made a reservation at a new Mexican restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day with my wife and son. I called ahead to let them know we would be running late and the person on the phone was kind and understanding. When we arrived, the waitress was friendly and even made a special effort to accommodate our 7-year-old son. The bartender and other waitresses were also attentive and friendly. Our food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious, with generous portions. I ordered the chicken burrito with roasted beans and my wife had the fajitas. Overall, we all had a great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant. Just a heads up - the smell of the food can linger on your clothes, so it's best to leave your coat in the car."
