"I opted for the healthiest thing on the menu! Not like me but I felt like my body needed it, it was immense, so many flavours on one plate with lovely grilled chicken Staff were super friendly and attentive especially to my elderly mum in her wheelchair My mum is a super complainer and she never moaned once, so that's a feat in itself, well done lol"

"Made plans to come here for lunch after a morning visit to Camera Obscura which is just a little way up the mile. Been here before years ago loved it…love it still! Great ambience, fantastic service and amazing food all hot, fresh and tasty. Large portions too! I can definitely recommend the haggis bites they’re delicious. Shout out to our sever Sophie who was lovely; welcoming, friendly efficient. Love this place will return."

"I have been in the filling station in the omni center, edinburgh several times. I love eating American style along with the friendly service. the filling station coast to coast is an american restaurant bar. the atmosphere is created by playing classic American soundtracks and retro decoration. my favourite dish that I always go back and forth are the kentucky wings with Louisiana sauce. nom! and of course there is always space for one or two of the desert:D read them on my blog posts from the cocktail master class that is hosted by filling station and reintroducing the filling station in the edinburgh royal mile."

"from beginning to end, this can only be described as one of my worst restaurants experiences. we were a little early on our table so we were invited to stand at the bar to wait for our table. we waited and waited and waited for twenty minutes to serve and there was only one person in front of us. We were totally ignored while the two people behind the bar took care of the table orders. eating ordered and when it came, it was wrong so that the food of my wife had to go back. another order was also wrong and they promised to bring the fritten asap. they came when we all finished our eating. the food of my wife came back right, but the plate was full of fat and pommes was microwave. eating all looked completely inconspicuous. the manager took the cost for the meal of my wife from the bill and the riders who never arrived but nothing for our experience or offered more drinks. unnecessary to say that we never go back. it felt as if they really did not deal with the volume of people."

"The Filling Station, also known as the Recharge Station, is a chain of restaurants that some people refer to as American style, located throughout the United Kingdom but mainly in Scotland. Each location offers a mix of local and British dishes, making it a bit of a hybrid between a traditional American restaurant and something more unique. The prices are reasonable and the food is of good quality. The menu includes Scottish specialties like haggis, pasta, and burgers, along with a selection of wines and decent beers (served from 10:00 am to midnight). The modern atmosphere and decor make it a great spot for a casual meal or a quick bite, living up to its name as a place to refuel with good food."

"often call them at the weekend for an all-day breakfast. the caffe is made like an American diner and has a similar theme menu, pancakes, burger, huhn as well as the famous breakfast. the ladies that run the caffe are very happy and friendly, service is fast, eating ready to order cooked. only the problem is sometimes at the biker weekend in the summer it can wait a little for eating recommended."

"Location, service and food were good. Problem was that of the 7 of us that dined there on Saturday night, 6 were vomiting by the next morning. Not been this ill in 20 years, and just recovering 24hrs later. The common denominator was maybe the olives to start. Real shame as it’s a lovely place with good service and food. I’ve got to question the hygiene practices after such an experience as I’ve been fortunate to never have had gastroenteritis in the UK, as I’m usually very careful. The added irony is that I’m a Gastroenterologist."

"We went for lunch whilst out in the Xscape centre. We took our little one with us, we ordered the sweet corn fritters, jalapeño poppers and potato in spices. The starters were ok none of them were outstanding. The sweetcorn fritters tasted uncooked and like they had been warmed up. For the mains we had beef burrito and that came with chips and coleslaw. And the veggie chilli with rice and tortilla chips. My husband said the beef didn’t taste right and had to take it all out o eat the wrap, the veggie chilli was fine but it tasted like microwave rice it was stuck together and very stodgy. And the amount of rice to the chilli didn’t go barely had 2 spoonfuls of chilli on there to a while bowlful of rice so couldn’t finish it all. There was only one guy in the front serving, taking orders and drinks and bringing food out so quite slow esp being a Saturday afternoon. And only 2 people in the back, and with a few tables occupied we were waiting a while for food and drinks etc. The food seemed to be pre cooked the majority of it, we were very close to the kitchen and couldn’t get any smells of food being cooked freshly, which isn’t a good sign."

"Very good cafe in a converted house next door to South London Gallery that also does a good evening service with three course meal for on some nights. Varied menu, nice beers and wines, as well as non-alcoholic alternatives. Imaginative food with good coverage for all kinds of diets. Very friendly and attentive service from charming staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Variety of spaces, from small front garden through intimate front room' to larger rear dining area, and cosy back yard with outside tables. Great for a quick coffee and cake or lunch, but also a great place to hang out' for the evening for an in-depth catch up with friends. Highly recommended."

"I went out to Bangkok cafe with a friend a few weeks ago and order their steak with tiger sauce. Very beautiful. I was so excited I bought my husband 2 weeks later after hyping the place up and we ordered the same thing. It was terrible, the rice was dry or stale, the steak wasn’t as good, the whole plate was different from the last time I came. Even the sauce wasn’t not the same thing. The server didn’t even care when I tried to address them and ask why it’s different. She couldn’t be bothered. I wasted £55 pounds on food work 15 if that. TERRIBLE and INCONSISTENT"

"I'm disappointed to share my experience at this restaurant. I had made a reservation for my partner and me, and upon our arrival, we entered and waited at the front for someone to seat us. Unfortunately, the staff seemed unprepared for their duties. We stood by the entrance while two employees chatted and laughed in the kitchen, seemingly oblivious to us. The restaurant was completely empty, which was not surprising given the service we received. We tried to get their attention, and while they glanced our way, they continued their conversation without acknowledging us. A member of the kitchen staff even came out to joke around, but we were ignored once again. Feeling quite frustrated and disheartened, we decided to leave. It’s unfortunate because I believe our dining experience could have been enjoyable if the staff had been attentive and professional."

"Just a takeaway this time but the food is still outstanding, papaya salad is full of flavour and the Geang Pah curry was superbly spiced with a super kick. Complimentary bag of Thai prawn crackers and dip was very nice. I can’t wait to sit in to to eat."

"We had a great time at this restaurant! The food was quite delicious, with an interesting selection of pan-Asian dishes. The starters were especially tasty. While the service was a bit slow when it came to taking orders, once our order was in, the food arrived quickly. However, our drink orders seemed to take a long time to come out. The staff were friendly, and we had a pleasant evening overall. We would recommend this place."

"Located on the periphery of the up and coming Stephenson Quarter based in the premises of the former Riverside Palace (Pink Palace) Chinese restaurant under the Metro bridge, this is a quite up market addition to the Newcastle veg friendly scene. I do love Thai food and my favourite dishes of deep fried sweetcorn cakes served with a sweet chilli sauce and a succulent green or red tofu curry are available here. Check their website to find a separate vegetarian menu which is predominantly almost exclusively vegan. There are at least 7 starters and 10 main courses all meat and dairy free. Just tell the staff you are vegan to ensure your freshly prepared meal is made without fish or oyster sauce. They do a 2 course lunch menu for £12.95 but rather bizarrely you'll actually save 50p if you order a starter and main course separately which is exactly what we did. I suggested they offer a cheaper vegetarian set meal option. Who knows? Get a window seat and enjoy views over the river and quayside. I'm sure we'll be back."

"Excellent food, presentation and service. All the staff made our party of 3 feel welcome. A special menu was available for gluten free requirements which was a welcome touch for one of our party. We were not under pressure to leave after lunch and so enjoyed our meal and family catch up even more. This has always been one of my favourite restaurants and it is good to see it continues its commitment to good food and service. Will be returning."

"friendly welcome and accommodated us even though early. ordered each course separately as didn't want to be rushed and not sure of portion sizes. Honestly each course was absolutely delicious and they are not frightened to use spices so our lips were tingling very nicely! wine is on the expensive side but this is the heart of London. Overall one of the best Thai meals we've had in ages."

"first, the atmosphere as soon as they get in is cold and strange. was not greeted at the door. when we sat, we asked about the cocktail night offer (booked by opentable) and none of the employees knew about it. we ordered drinks and eat, and drinks alone took 30 minutes to come. eating was not too long after, but it was clear that it was all warmed again, as it was prepared behind the coffee counter. i.e. we couldn't hear what the chorizo sizzling and it was chewing and dry. the “Mixed Beans” were quite open only hot beans with melted cheese baked on the top and the rest of the food was quite cut. at the end there was no “thank you” – but we got our discount after we complained to the staff several times. Ultimately, this seems like a coffee shop that wanted to be a restaurant, but much needed improvements."

"This branch of Patara is a smaller one but the food is still excellent. Beauchamp place really is a world within Knightsbridge with a myriad of restaurants from all over the world. Patara is the perfect example of thai cuisine, though slightly pricey the food is immaculate. I alway use chicken with spicy basil as a norm to taste the authenticity and taste of a thai restaurant, simply because I've eaten it everywhere, and it was excellent. It was made with mince chicken, which is the way your supposed to eat it and I asked for it to be thai as possible and I was satisfied with my request. I also ordered red curry chicken, which was sweet yet spicy, a component of thai food which was carried out exceptionally. The restaurant is quite narrow and small but there is enough space for everyone to sit properly. I had a window seat and thus was able to see the happenings of Beauchamp place, something always interesting to see. The staff were mostly Thai and the thai hospitality that everyone is used to is the norm. Overall great place, but not the best thai restaurant in London."
