"We went for lunch whilst out in the Xscape centre. We took our little one with us, we ordered the sweet corn fritters, jalapeño poppers and potato in spices. The starters were ok none of them were outstanding. The sweetcorn fritters tasted uncooked and like they had been warmed up. For the mains we had beef burrito and that came with chips and coleslaw. And the veggie chilli with rice and tortilla chips. My husband said the beef didn’t taste right and had to take it all out o eat the wrap, the veggie chilli was fine but it tasted like microwave rice it was stuck together and very stodgy. And the amount of rice to the chilli didn’t go barely had 2 spoonfuls of chilli on there to a while bowlful of rice so couldn’t finish it all. There was only one guy in the front serving, taking orders and drinks and bringing food out so quite slow esp being a Saturday afternoon. And only 2 people in the back, and with a few tables occupied we were waiting a while for food and drinks etc. The food seemed to be pre cooked the majority of it, we were very close to the kitchen and couldn’t get any smells of food being cooked freshly, which isn’t a good sign."

I can’t fault the place. Nice owner, nice food, nice drinks. Would be perfect if they would switch to paper straws but I’m nit picking. Had the burrito and sweet potato fries. All very tasty.

Service very slow (no mains 2 hours after getting in there). Cold food when it turned up. Not enough staff, kitchen obviously not run very well. Manager said he would fix and didn’t. Overall really poor. View menu

only visited. the food we ordered especially for the children was very hot. even hot for us. eating was very pale and oily. regret yourself. children's menu had only one veg selection, but waitress told us it wasn't vegetarian. mexican worst restaurant I was too.

We just found this place by chance as it allowed dining in and we were very happy we did! The staff were very attentive and the food was lovely. Probably the best Mexican I’ve been to. We had the Tapas (3 dishes each) and there was plenty of food and so tasty. Pina cocktails were very nice too! The kids really enjoyed their ‘make your own wrap’ followed by 2 big scoops of ice cream. Would definitely visit again.

this was a super simple place to get a vegan dinner with an Omani friend. they have a completely separate menu for vegans, so it is easy to order. I had the chips with salsa and a burrito with pommes. the chips were clearly average (although I was spoiled with a wahaca near where I live and their chips and dips are quite delicious and I found the burrito something missing. I should have asked for a hot sauce to live them a little! the chips were average. they made me a really nice vegan pina colada cocktail, and that was the highlight of the meal! View menu

Food is amazing! We have tried 8 starters and 4 mains and everything was great, you can tell that they use fresh products. Only burritos were a bit dry (maybe they should add some kind of sauce in it) but still good. The waiting time is decent as well. Customer service was bad though, lady who took our order for drinks totally forgot about them and after 15 minutes waiting we had to ask another waiter for them. We did not receive knife and forks. Waiter did not even notice that and we had to ask for it twice. It was not busy at all as there were only two more tables filled other than ours so we were quite surprised with the quality of service. Also – they have promotions for drinks 2 for £10...

this is a very small place in the Xscape building in milton keynes. it is completely open to the main part of the building, so that do not go anywhere for an intimate meal for 2. the flip side is that it has a lot of atmosphere. Now that I'm testing to drive a plant-based whole food diet, it's really difficult to find common places that I can trust not use accidentally animal products. so it was a very pleasant surprise to find cocina has a properly pre-printed vegan menu, not only slightly printed by a desktop printer. this vegan menu also had a decent sort that was really important as I also avoid kartoffels, white rice, white pasta and white brot. the food came and it was delicious. the s...

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
