"We ordered street food which came at different times which would of been good to know. Most of the food arrived but we was waiting for 15 20 minutes where we was then asked what we was waiting for this should of been something the waitress knew. We were told there was a problem in the kitchen and therefore would take another 20 30mins which isn’t acceptable when you’ve been in the restaurant for 1hour 15mins. Due to the poor service they should of given some sort of food will. We won’t be returning anytime soon."

"Booked a table for our evening meal adults and a teenager Was seated upstairs that was ok … when you looked out the window you could see the river.The meal was lovely and the chocolate fudge cake was amazing.The waitress was lovely very helpful and you could tell she was interested in why you had to say .if she’s reading this it’s us from Bournemouth .The only thing I was shocked about was the price of the cider for. "It is certainly the case that Pizza Express have raised their game in recent years and the menu is now rather impressive. We booked a table in advance to use some Tesco vouchers and were sat at a great table near the window in what was quiet a busy restaurant (1:30pm Saturday). The waitress assigned to our table seemed rather busy with other tables so we seemed to fall between her attention and that of a very effective and efficient manager. Unfortunately this was a theme throughout the afternoon which led to us waiting for significant periods to order and revive food leading to a 90 minute stay for what was meant to be a quick lunch between shopping. Thankfully, the food, atmosphere in the restaurant and hard work of the manager made up for this. The food in particular was excellent with the new dough ball started excellent and a very tasty and generous burnt ends pizza. Overall, a great meal but denied a 5 out of 5 by an obvious lack of staff which is a great shame really"

"Booked online for 6 of us for a birthday meal for my son. Was met by a lady who was chewing gum (not acceptable in a restaurant front of house position) and was not particularly happy (waitress1) She said that there was a wait on food even though we had booked due to people wanting takeaways. We ordered drinks with another lady (waitress 2) who was very pleasant and she bought them to the table. She was followed by waitress 1 with the same drinks who made a point of telling us that waitress 2 had not ticked off that she had served the drinks, (in my opinion this belittling situation was very unnecessary). Even my 17 year old son said it was unfair on waitress 2. We ordered our food with waitress 2. Our food was delivered by waitress 1 and one of the dishes was incorrect. There was no apology and she said she would rectify the error, I waited for a long time for my meal, in fact, some of our group had just about finished their meal before it arrived. The meal was still missing the dressing that I had originally asked for. I was then told that they did not have the dressing that I was originally offered. Waitress 1 came over and asked if all was ok. I explained that we weren’t happy. Waitress 1 offered to take my meal off the bill. We went to the reception area to pay with waitress 3 who was lovely. She presented me with the bill which had my meal removed. Waitress 1 then came over and belittled waitress 3 saying she’d got the wrong bill for us. In fact, she had got the right copy. Waitress 3 appeared to be embarrassed by Waitress 1 behaviour. I paid and we left to have our dessert in a different place. Very disappointing for my sons birthday and we will not be going back. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and my overall opinion was poor customer service which was predominantly 1 member of staff"

"We 've been to this Pizza Express many times over the years and never had any complaints. We visited it for my youngest daughters birthday on an early Monday evening. This followed a successful trip there some weeks back and hence why she wanted to return. It was probably the most quiet I 've seen it. Customers were sat at one end of the restaurant and restaurant staff congregated down the other end which made it hard to attract attention. There was no consistent service. Drinks arrived after the starters once we had prompted the waitress who hadn 't put the order through. Mains came before the starter dishes had been cleared away. The mains then came apart from my daughters pizza. We waited 5 minutes before having to chase there was no attempt to ensure we had everything we had everythin ordered. My Calabrese pizza that I ordered wasn 't that warm. My daughter needed a glass of water and I had to go down the end where the staff were huddled in order to ask for one. At the end of the meal their internet had gone down and I had to pay by cash instead of card. Never had this before, and felt a bit suspect. Very dissappointing all in all. Needs stronger management and better staff training."

"Okay...... I 'm going to admit something very serious.... and I 'm going to humbly request to my fellow Yelp foodies to not show up as an angry pitchfork wielding mob to my house! I don 't like pizza. Okay, there, I said it. I certainly don 't MIND pizza it 's not disgusting to me, but I most definitely don 't care for it! Pizza can disappear from my life forever and I wouldn 't bat an eyelash! Well, Pizza Express certainly changed my mind. Now I realised that I 've just rarely ever had GOOD pizza before. Pizza Express is fantastic! Calamari I 'm a huge fan of calamari and Pizza Express makes them fantastic! The batter is lovely and crisp and the tartare sauce they serve with it works really well. Every time I visit Pizza Express I always make sure to order a set of these! Padana In terms of pizza, I 'm a huge fan of the Padana. Although it 's a vegetarian pizza and I 'm normally a meat eater, the tastes in the Padana pizza are just way too satisfying and refined. The light and thin crust is topped with goat 's cheese, mozzarella, tomato, amaazzzinnng caramelised onion, red onion, and finished with garlic oil. Seriously, I would probably order it for the caramelised onion on its own. Trust me it 's worth skipping out on the meat options for. Even if you 're a carnivore like me! When it comes to high quality pizza, Pizza Express doesn 't disappoint. If I 'm going to be nitpicky, the only negative side is that for some reason, they 're really bad at cutting the pizza (the crusts ALWAYS come glued together that I always find myself ripping non pizza shaped bits off). Regardless, 5 stars for the flavour above everything else. If Pizza Express can make someone who is 'meh ' about pizza have a very happy meal, then it 's good enough for you!"

"Visited here on a Friday evening with work colleagues. I booked a table online earlier the same day. Our table was right next to the door which was very unfortunate because it was a cold evening. We couldn't swap tables as it was very busy. I had the gluten free dough balls to start and they were delicious with the garlic butter. I had a gluten free vegan pizza and, sadly, it was a bit bland. I also don't understand why the gluten free pizza bases have to be so much smaller than their regular pizzas? Our waitress was lovely and friendly. Although my colleagues and I had a good evening, I'm not sure I will be returning any time soon."

"The Romana-based Giardiniera at this restaurant is excellent, with a fantastic taste and generous toppings compared to other places like Zizzi. The Leggera option is not very good value for money, but we got it on a 241 deal so it was fine, although we paid more than it's worth. It's much smaller than a regular Romana, so it's not as satisfying unless you really enjoy the salad that comes with it. Overall, I would recommend ordering the regular Romana for better value, but I decided to try the Leggera since we had a discount code. The taste of the food is excellent. The coconut sorbet is also delicious and pairs well with an espresso for an affogato. The service is always nice, and they even have a vegan dessert option (resembling a cheesecake) if you prefer something other than sorbet."

"Having spent a day in August taking the grandchildren around the museums of Newcastle, we were really hungry. My grandchildren love pizza and pasta, and having never been, I decided to try pizza express in Eldon Square. Being mid afternoon, the place was fairly quiet, and the waitress was very efficient taking a drinks order almost immediately and bringing them to the table by return. Being 8 years old, my twin grandsons don't have a long attention span, so I was really pleased when the food order was taken and the food delivered quickly. My grandsons had pizza and pasta dish between them. They are quite fussy eaters but cleared their plates very quickly. I had z mushroom pizza, which was very tasty. As we were leaving, the place was really filling up, so I recommend going early if you are going for tea."

"The greeting and waiting staff at this restaurant were outstanding, displaying exemplary politeness, friendliness, and attentiveness, earning them a solid 5-star rating. While the pizza was good and up to par for Pizza Express, there was a missing item that I had requested. The waiter was very apologetic about the oversight, though it was not a major issue for me. I do have two concerns about this establishment. Firstly, the state of the floor was quite disappointing. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty when I visited at 1pm on a Sunday, the floor appeared as if it had not been swept or mopped in days, which may have contributed to the presence of flies buzzing around. Additionally, while the pizza maker did wear a hair net, his beard was not properly covered, which was surprising. Although the food has a 5-star rating, the condition of the floor makes me question the validity of this rating. Overall, the pizza tasted good and the staff were excellent, but the state of the floor was a bit unsettling."

"Where do I start? In all my years of living, of all the trips I 've taken with my ultra-wealthy friends I can only name a few memories I 've had with them but my experience at Pizza Express in Woking 10+ years ago...unforgettable, March 10th at 5 PM to be exact. It was a very unusual thing for me to do but it was so wonderful that I could never forget it. My friends ask me, Hey, remember that golf trip? You can have the worst memory and won 't forget your experience at Pizza Express in Woking even 20 years later. "I’ve been using Camile on the Lisburn road for several years now and having visited Thailand, found that the food here is second to none in delivering the closest thing to an authentic Thai food experience available in Belfast. The lunchtime menu has been my go to, on more occasions than I’m prepared to admit . The atmosphere makes for a serene oasis of calm within the bustle of Belfast’s busy shopping hub, that is Lisburn road and with a special lunchtime rate that suits most anyone’s pocket. "The restaurant should consider changing its name since it is not at all "express." The service is slow, and it seems like the manager is doing more work than the waitresses, at least some of them. The drinks took a long time to be served, and the food was slow to come out as well. On the positive side, the food was excellent. Even though the thin crust base was not crispy, it was not doughy. The toppings were flavorful, with a nice touch of spice. The pizzas were large and satisfying, though we had to make do with garlic butter instead of garlic sauce. Our waitress was pleasant and always busy, earning her a well-deserved tip. I would recommend this restaurant as long as you are not in a rush to eat."

"We came to Pizza Express for the 2cnd time today as a family on a day out. It was absolutely amazing. Firstly, I want to talk about the service and staff. The speed that they brought their food out was phenomenal, and the staff were extremely polite. It was fairly busy, with a couple more families, and our food was out in what felt like no time. What's more, is that the staff were giving us time and space to order, and not rushing us at all. Great service. Next, the food. The food was very tasty, with a large selection of gluten free, vegan, spicy, and mild things in pizzas, pastas, and salads. The kids deals were great, with good pizzas and deals which were quite cheap for a starter, main, and a pudding. Only thing, I recommend that you do not order a salad from the kids menu, as it really is tiny. Overall, in summarisation I think that pizza express is a great place to go and eat, well deserved 5 stars, and you will be seeing us again."
