good clean family...food others have mentioned that the prices are high. I can't resist. but eating is consistent and quality, even if the portions are a tad on the smaller side. I love the excellent choices in the menu. the best at this place (what I could admit a shutdown for some) is that it is very family-friendly. I never feel bad to take my child there. I don't feel like I'm getting others out. most guests have children with them, and it can be a bit loud. but no fear; it is clean and not chaotic or chaos or something. this is just a nice place to have a good family dinner in a pleasant atmosphere.

Pizza express serve a range of Italian style dishes besides pizzas. The meals are reasonably priced and appeal to a wide range of customers. Staff deal equally well with a lively children's party, retrieving balloons, joining in the birthday wishes and so on, and serving those enjoying a relaxing meal as a couple. The premises are licensed with a range of beers, wines and still drinks to complement the food. Tables are spaced for ease of movement. Altogether a clean and pleasant environment with efficient staff. Service is discrete yet attentive from the time you are greeted on arrival and are shown to a table.

It is certainly the case that Pizza Express have raised their game in recent years and the menu is now rather impressive. We booked a table in advance to use some Tesco vouchers and were sat at a great table near the window in what was quiet a busy restaurant (1:30pm Saturday). The waitress assigned to our table seemed rather busy with other tables so we seemed to fall between her attention and that of a very effective and efficient manager. Unfortunately this was a theme throughout the afternoon which led to us waiting for significant periods to order and revive food leading to a 90 minute stay for what was meant to be a quick lunch between shopping.
