"We absolutely loved our experience here! This was our first visit to a Frankie and Benny’s, and it definitely won't be our last. The service was excellent and incredibly fast—there was no waiting around or having to check on our orders. The food was simply amazing! My partner is quite picky about what he eats, but he had nothing but good things to say about it. I even managed to take a few photos of our meals (some partially eaten, haha). We used a Groupon voucher, which made for a smooth transaction—it didn’t disrupt our experience at all. It was worth every penny! Just a note, drinks were a bit pricey, but on the bright side, kids eat free, and my daughters loved that!"

"Our experience at this restaurant was absolutely appalling. I went with my mother and younger brother, to begin with everything was fine, we were seated and served quickly and even the food came out quickly. Despite this the burger was bland and nearly cold, then my brother, who is only 2 years old, starts to eat his chicken and due to how tough it was, he started choking. Unfortunately this led to him throwing up at the table, my mother and I were already quite panicked so I ran to a waitress for some tissues, she avoided the area, didn 't help us move our food to another area and didn 't bother to check if my brother was alright and handed me a disinfectant cleaning spray to clean up the mess rather than getting a brush or any other cleaning equipment. Just when we thought the experience couldn 't get worse, the other waiters all started avoiding our table despite walking around us multiple times and noticing we had finished eating; finally one waiter approached, he coldly asked if we were done, didn 't offer any dessert despite the fact it comes included with the kids meal, practically threw the receipt onto the table and then proceeded to point out to my mother(who is heavily pregnant) that there 's a black bin bag on the table so we can pick up our bits meaning we were expected to clean up my brothers sick, after their own food was at fault for causing the choking, with nothing but tissues. I 've never seen such horrible service. We 'll never be returning to this restaurant and I don 't recommend anyone else go there either."

"I turned to my husband, frustrated, as it was now approaching 8:05. He glanced at me and said it was only 8:01. I insisted it was 8:05 according to my watch, but he leaned toward the register and insisted it was 8:01, displaying a rather sarcastic attitude. I don't expect this level of rudeness from restaurant staff. When he finally came to seat us, he asked how many children's menus we needed, despite our reservation clearly being for five adults. This only added to my discomfort, and even my daughter noticed how sarcastic he was. I believe he needs training in customer service. I felt like taking my family and leaving, but I didn't want to ruin their outing. This whole experience has made me reluctant to return, which is disappointing since we've been dining there at least three times a month for several years."

"Today, we visited the restaurant for my son's 11th birthday celebration with his friends. We ordered our main dishes and milkshakes from the menu. We wanted to order dessert, but we only had 25 minutes before we had to leave for laser tag. We inquired with the server if we would have enough time, and she assured us that we would. We decided to order 4 desserts. Unfortunately, only 2 desserts arrived after 5 minutes, while the other 2, including the one for my son's birthday, arrived just as we needed to leave. This 20-minute delay in serving the desserts caused my son to be upset as we had to rush through his birthday dessert. As a result, we were late for laser tag and missed a game. When I questioned the delay, I was informed that it was due to a new chef and was left with no further explanation. We also requested a balloon for each child, which was not provided, despite other children of similar age receiving them. When we inquired about the balloons, the server confirmed but never brought them. The food was mediocre, as we expected. Overall, it was one of the worst cases of service we have experienced."

"Visited on Saturday afternoon, was very busy and we were left waiting in the doorway for at least 5 minutes before anyone came over to us. We were seated right at the back near the kitchen which was the busiest part, almost all tables were full. I don't know why we were seated here as there were many empty tables near the front. We ordered the chicken variety starter and the house burger. The starter arrived within 10 minutes and was generally good. The chicken on the scewers was dry but everything else was ok and presentation was good. The mains arrived and looked fine but the burgers were overcooked and tasted like carboard. The waiter completely lost interest in us once he delivered the main course, we planned to ask for another drink but didn't get the chance to ask. He was only interested in new customers coming in. We didn't finish the burgers and chose to leave. Again it took forever to catch the writers eye and ask for the bill. We paid by the F&B App, we used the 2 for 1 mains deal, it slightly made up for the food. I like the new App to pay as you don't feel so pressured to leave a tip when people don't deserve it."

"Breakfast was nice, if ordering fresh orange juice ask for no ice otherwise it tastes pretty watery Not been in since previous review (3 years ago lol) Went in about 2.30pm weekday. "This was our first visit to F&Bs after lockdown, we haven't been in since before all the lockdown measures, so made sure to come back try the famous pizza they offered before. We were greeted by a friendly girl who showed us to our...table and then explained the few items they did not have, the menu is still quite varied with only a few items missing from the previous one I remember. I was craving a pizza so a margarita was what I was after, my girlfriend had cheeseburger chips. We were offered some seasoned fries which sounded good with a cheese sauce. Around 20mins later our food was served, which is great as we had the cinema to go to also, the food was served hot but didnt taste as good as I remember, with it maybe being a bit more mass produced rather than handcrafted like it was before. It was still enjoyable and the chips were good but still a bit bland with the cheese sauce. All in all it was good to be back but not quite as I remember, as used to love the pizzas! my girlfriend had a student card so we got discount on the meal which was great. All in all a good experience."

"Visited Christmas eve, booked for 8pm, rang to say we may be a few minutes late to be told they close at 9pm,now I hadn't been told this very disappointed to say the least, there was 6 of us, we arrived on time and we ordered drinks and had 3 cokes a few cocktails when they arrived there was no syrup in the coke so just like drinking water, the manager came over and said quite abruptly I've tasted the coke and there's nothing wrong with it, so basically called us liars, I tasted it it was water, one of the team said it was a new recipe but I'm sorry coca cola is coca cola.i have visited here with family and never been treated so rudely. "The restaurant experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, they claimed that there was no booking under my name despite providing confirmation. Eventually, we were seated after a 20-minute wait but the service was so slow that we ended up waiting 2 hours before leaving. When the desserts finally arrived, they assured us that the child's dessert would be ready in 2 minutes. However, we had all finished our desserts and had to remind them about my son's dessert, which still hadn't been served. Overall, I would not recommend visiting this restaurant again."

"I was well impressed with this restaurant. I usually eat at F&B..and I really quick understand the differences between food and taste, between restaurants. I know also what is the standard for F&B. Bad service you keep to remember and will not make you a returning customer. This is the only restaurant in a 100 miles radius I never complained or my food was never raw. I also appreciated on my last visit a lady who was cleaning she looked more from management as she didn’t had an uniform, setting a good example in cleaning for her employees and customers by cleaning tables very thoroughly, all the spots covered. Well impressed by that especially as I work with Covid patients and I know how important is to be infectious free. The separation areas they build are important as well. The lady who was cleaning I didn’t manage to see her badge as she is a fast walker but she had a colourful mask , the only one who was actually wearing one and yes I know you can choose if you want to wear them but still for me was important as she was trying to protect others in a close environment with covid roaming around everywhere. I held myself for over 2 weeks to write this review as I was to busy but like I said I will be a returning customer.Kudos to her ! Kudos to all managers who are setting the bar high and lead by example! I eat here roughly every 2 weeks and I’m always very well treated. My favourite restaurant, if 10 stars were to be available, 10 stars from me! From the 3 restaurants that Sheffield has, this is by far the best one! Keep it up, guys!"

"I am a great fan of frankie and Benny’s, eating is generally always consistent and really quite delicious! I can say confidently that I have tried at least 1/3 of the menu and it is all really delicious! No matter what they choose, they will almost always get a really delicious meal! during the week they have in the rule a promotion for two courses and I recommend that for a cheaper meal, as a single meal can cost the same as the price the meal deal itself! this special industry is really beautiful and the staff is super friendly! I've never had a problem with eating. if they are on the royal mile, they should consider that this particular facility can be quite busy, so please note that in the head."

"Although we have been to F and Bs before we were disappointed this time round. Firstly the attachment highchair for my son, although the right size and nice to have him at the table was quite dirty. As it was made of canvas it would be hard to clean and did have a smell to it. The restaurant itself was very noisy and we had to really shout to hear each other at our table. The service however was good. Polite and prompt. However most disappointingly was that my wife discovered an inch long metal shard in her food! Staff apologised and made some fresh food but understandably she wasn’t too keen to eat any more and I was concerned what my children had eaten as this had a similar spaghetti dish. I would certainly think again before rebooking. Shame"

"My family and I visited the restaurant on Friday using two Groupons. Our waitress Aya was very attentive and informed us of the limitations. Despite arriving during a busy time, she took great care of us. The food was delicious, but the steak on my mixed grill was undercooked. "My son took me for dinner here tonight and the food was excellent. I usually suffer from indigestion if I eat pizza as it's usually greasy, but this was light, crispy and really tasty. I also had a pecan pie cheesecake which was delicious. Our waiter, Jamie, was friendly, chatty and very attentive....he definitely deserves praise, as I will certainly return if his service is anything to go by. I hope he gets acknowledged for his excellent service, he certainly earned it. Thanks for a great evening."

"First time visiting Frankie and Benny's with a friend. We were politely welcomed to a seat and asked if we would like anything to drink before the waitress left. We asked for some time to decide what we wanted to order. The waitress returned promptly after serving customers who were ready to order. This was reasonable time for us. We then ordered drinks and two courses each. A starter and a main. The drinks were brought over in good time for us to settle and have a chat. The starters arrived not long after. My friend ordered a garlic bread pizza which he described as greasy but tasty. I decided to have the mozzarella dippers which tasted bland, even with the sauce. A couple of them were overcooked. For our mains we ordered a vegan burger with sweet potato fries and a plain 6oz burger with fries. The vegan burger was very tasty, however the sweet potato fries were slightly overcooked but still rather nice. The plain 6oz burger arrived : not plain. It had to be sent back and corrected. However my friend was pleased with it once it came back. We were rather full afterwards and decided to pass on trying a dessert. We asked for the tab and it came back to us at an incorrect amount. We soon realised they charged for a jug of the cocktail I ordered instead of a glass and 2 servings of coke. We brought this up to the waitress and she fixed the issue with the cocktail but informed us that because we ordered the coke from the main menu, instead of the side menu (even though they are the same price) that the refills would not be free. 7/10 food. 6/10 service. Wouldn't be somewhere I'd go back in a hurry as there are far superior eateries for similar prices."
