"AVOID if you expect great customer service and warm/hot food. Went there for lunch today. Had the dish from specials menu, salmon, veg with potatoes. Did not realise it was £26.00! When the food came the salmon was hot but the vegetables had cooled down. It was not even busy, just a few other people. So the veg were cold by the time i ate them. These were cauliflower, broccoli and green beans. The broccoli was crunchy so wasnt cooked properly. Cauliflower i dont eat anyway but was cold and looked tasteless, probably not cooked enough. Green beans were cold. Some pieces of potato were ok but some not cooked thoroughly. I ate the salmon cause it was hot. Terrible customer service. The manager said usually you call for help if you need it! He was too busy chatting and laughing with a customer to even bother to check if my friend and i needed anything or were happy with our food. No wonder the restaurant wasnt busy if the food and service isnt good. The toilets were horrible and toilet not clean. I hate to think what the kitchen is like. Would not be going back and will instead stick to the lovely italian restaurant opposite down the road. Please do not waste your money here."

"We were disappointed to find that breakfast wasn't available, so we decided to order a simple meal of ham, egg, and chips. After waiting 30 minutes without any sign of our food, we asked about our order, and suddenly, our meals appeared as if by magic. Unfortunately, they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while, resulting in a rubbery, cartoonish appearance. The ham was just a warmed-up slice from a package, reminiscent of the cheapest fare usually served at children's parties."

"Our experience at this restaurant was not great and only got worse. Upon arrival, they did not have our reservation, but the restaurant was not busy so it should have been fine. However, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. It took a long time for our drinks to arrive and even longer for our food, with one meal missing altogether. There was not much of an apology for the mistake, and we had to flag down a staff member to let them know. After waiting another 20 minutes, we had to inquire about the missing meal because we couldn't get anyone's attention. We asked for tap water that never came and had to flag down a server for more drinks. When the second round of drinks arrived, the order was incorrect. The food was decent and the drinks were good, but despite booking a table for two, we did not leave until 3:30 due to slow service. We had only intended to have a quick lunch before needing to be elsewhere. It is unfortunate, as the restaurant is nice, but there appears to be a serious issue with training, staff morale, or both. We would not recommend this place. There are better options for cheaper where your custom may be appreciated more."

"I visited with two friends last night and we loved it! The food was incredible (especially the calarmari and borek!) and we all really liked the wine too. Service was great with attentive, efficient waiters and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was really nice. I'm local and have been meaning to come here for about a year now! "After hearing great reviews and being a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, I decided to give this restaurant a try. I was disappointed with the slow service, as the waitress took 5 minutes to come and take my order even though the restaurant was empty. The starter I had ordered did not arrive as requested, and a different starter appeared with the bread that was supposed to come with my main course. To make matters worse, my main course arrived before I had even touched my starter, and my drink was never served. When I pointed out the mistakes to the waitress, she brought the wrong item and did not seem to understand the issues. The person who I assumed was the manager also did not address the problems effectively. Despite the decent quality of the food, the overall experience was disappointing and marred by poor service. Additionally, I was charged for the incorrect starter that was brought to me twice."

"Wow, what a little gem of a place! Visiting Cheltenham for the first time, after exploring the town, feeling a bit peckish, sort of stumbled into Vegetus. Not exactly on the high street, but a few minutes walk off the main drag. Cosy, and welcoming, quite busy on Saturday lunchtime, we hadn't pre booked, so we sat outside in the sunshine for a few minutes while our table was prepared. The vibe is decidedly middle eastern, with the jolliest of hosts. His infectious good humour permeates the place. Spotlessly clean and well organised, we ordered a tagine and a mousaka, with the Beirut cooler for a non alcoholic drink. Both generous servings were delivered after a few minutes, piping hot and delicious. For dessert we had warm baklava with ice cream and a totally yummy (egg free) chocolate cake. The desert was so good, we split it, boxed it and took a slice home for our daughter! I cannot recommend this place enough, we now have a good reason to go back to Cheltenham. Try it, you will love it."

"I made a reservation at this restaurant for Father's Day and I am so happy that I did. It was easy to find parking outside, the decor was lovely, and we were seated at a nice table by the window. Our waitress, Beth, was outstanding. She made us feel very welcome and provided excellent service. We had a wonderful time at Joe's Kitchen. The food was delicious with a variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere was cozy and beautifully decorated. Beth was so friendly and engaged in conversations and laughter with our table. She is exceptional at her job and we all had a fantastic celebratory meal thanks to Beth and the rest of the team. I would definitely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to my colleagues, family, and friends."

"Expectations not met ... no Sunday lunches on offer was told when we arrived “we haven’t anything left “ this was at 5.45 ?? They had tried to ring us and I checked missed call at 5.40 but Was driving unable to answer phone a bit short notice anyway! Not good really saying it was Sunday and advertised as one of the main options on the daily menu “bad management “ we did order another option and it was nicely presented and very tasty but steak served on a wooden platter Doesn’t work when you order sauce as a side just got messy.. on requesting our bill and ready to pay we was then told they couldn’t take card payments and was taking cash only !!! Why tell you at the end of your meal ? Embarrassing!! nobody carry’s much cash around with them was lucky there was a cash machine across from restaurant.. may I suggest you tell your customers before sitting down . Would I go again Yes I think I would Maybe we just picked the wrong day ."

"A local gem Turkish food done right! Highly recommended! Casual, relaxed dining and affordable prices. Great for dining on a budget most dishes are from £3.50 £15. My friend and I dropped by to try their sharing platter for two £18) which could have fed 3 4 people three grilled meats, rice, salad, hummus and flat bread). Generous portions, high quality and beautifully presented/cooked. The lamb shish was juicy and tender, salads super fresh and flat bread freshly grilled and dressed in olive oil. Warm, friendly and detailed customer service, too. I can’t wait to go back. Puts my faith back into local, family run restaurants. Local London food done right. Currently no alcohol is available, but soft drinks start from £1.50. If you’re in the Angel area, do drop by!"

"yesterday and today we made a late lunch and it was delicious. beautiful, great atmosphere, good music, great service. we at the chicken brewery, lammgerin, and also had the swarma packaging with fries. the Mayo sauce that comes with the frits was phenomenal. My daughter, who is a veterinary nurse, was told that they didn't offer her more drinks or dessert because they didn't think she could afford it. She would never eat somewhere she couldn't afford. The offer of a free meal was declined, as there was concern it may be tainted. Overall, the service was very disappointing. Dining in for dinner was the meal type."

"The food was very tasty with a good selection, brilliant salad bar to compliment the mains. Deserts were also plentiful with fresh waffles and pancakes being made. The resturant is in a good spot overlooking the Southwater lake and convenient for the park to work it off in afterwards (for adults and children . My only negative is that it wasn't as clean as it could have been. Crockery and cutlery not washed well so had to root for a suitable plate to use."

The salad was starting to go soggy and tasted off, while the noodles were both hard and burnt. Surprisingly, even the watermelon was dry, which is something I have never experienced before. Overall, it was quite disappointing, especially since we came for my daughter's birthday expecting a wide variety of choices but ended up with limited options. "We received a £75 credit from OpenTable to use at a restaurant of our choice from a selected list. We decided on SteakInn in Watford, but our experience was disappointing. Despite making an online booking with the provided code for 6:30, we were met with confusion when we arrived. The restaurant felt more like a cheap café, and we were the only patrons there. The waiter seemed unfamiliar with the credit and had to make calls to verify it, causing a lengthy delay. Frustrated and hungry, we eventually left without being served. This was meant to be a special night out, but it turned into a frustrating and anger-inducing experience. I suggest that this place be shut down to prevent others from experiencing the same disappointment. I would give this restaurant zero stars if possible, as we received no food or service. It was a complete scandal."
