Gloucester service: lovely people but SO SO SO SLOW! like, we were waiting for 2 hours for our food, slow. Nice food though, good amount of veggie options

we ordered via deliveroo two chicken-shawarma. what we received was hot. it was however not the succulent, marinaded, rich, oily, slow boiled huh they would expect when they order shawarma. instead we had pieces of pan-broiled chicken dusted with a little taste. a massive, massive disappointment. the chips were also terrible. I believe many have mentioned this before, but the staff here speaks very little English. The restaurant is quite empty and lacks any atmosphere compared to others near our home that offer a similar cuisine. The food was mediocre and even when we asked for the waiter's personal recommendation, it wasn't anything special. We were excited for our meal as we love this type of cuisine, but unfortunately, it was not the best we have ever had.

My visit to Arabienna on a Friday night was enjoyable. We accidentally entered through the back door for Shisha customers, as we did not read the sign properly. We opted for a variety of starters to create our own tapas/mezze meal. The food was delicious and well-prepared. Though we initially felt a bit out of place, we soon felt comfortable. The restaurant does not serve alcohol, but they allow customers to bring their own and provide glasses for them.

4 of us arrived at about 8.00pm on Saturday.. Place was empty.Decided to order drinks from the menu which was fine, but the waitress didn't quite grasp what we wanted so about 5 minutes later we had to reorder! Two of us ordered a liver...starter (they didn' t have the spicy sausage I wanted) and the other two had a special plate which included mixed starters and mixed kebabs.The mixed starters eventually came out and we're fine.About 20 minutes later our liver turned up followed immediately by the main courses!!!! Twelve of us ate here on a Saturday evening. The food was excellent, lots of choice (Lebanese specialities, Moroccan tagines/couscous, mixed grill, kebabs) and as others have said, you are welcome to bring your own bottle and there is no corkage charge. The shisha bar...at the back was excellent afterwards, couldn't have felt more welcome. The only reason I haven't given Arabiana five stars would have liked to be able to award 4.5 is that our meals came out over quite an extended period of time, which would have been fine with a mezze style meal but we were all having our own plates; some of the party had to wait quite a while for their meals to arrive, compared to others. we visited arabienna as two couples on Friday night. the restaurant was empty for our entire stay! the personal appeared a little distant and communication was easy to talk, as they do not seem to speak much English. they spent most of the time. sitting on the back in the area shisha (smoker). we have taken our own wine/beer, as the restaurant has no license. I asked for an ice cup, but she didn't understand. After hearing great reviews and being a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, I decided to give this restaurant a try. I was disappointed with the slow service, as the waitress took 5 minutes to come and take my order even though the restaurant was empty. The starter I had ordered did not arrive as requested, and a different starter appeared with the bread that was supposed to come with my main course. To make matters worse, my main course arrived before I had even touched my starter, and my drink was never served.
