"A group of us, when to locanta Bar was looking forward to a restaurant we had not tried before. I was very disappointed at the food that was tasteless and boiled over. I had the overcooked grilled sea bass with potatoes that lubricated as if they were the frozen type. Wong goes back. The service was slow and our food came in batches, but we said that the original cook had an emergency, so there was a step in the cook."

"We were disappointed to find that breakfast wasn't available, so we decided to order a simple meal of ham, egg, and chips. After waiting 30 minutes without any sign of our food, we asked about our order, and suddenly, our meals appeared as if by magic. Unfortunately, they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while, resulting in a rubbery, cartoonish appearance. The ham was just a warmed-up slice from a package, reminiscent of the cheapest fare usually served at children's parties."

"Our experience at this restaurant was not great and only got worse. Upon arrival, they did not have our reservation, but the restaurant was not busy so it should have been fine. However, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. It took a long time for our drinks to arrive and even longer for our food, with one meal missing altogether. There was not much of an apology for the mistake, and we had to flag down a staff member to let them know. After waiting another 20 minutes, we had to inquire about the missing meal because we couldn't get anyone's attention. We asked for tap water that never came and had to flag down a server for more drinks. When the second round of drinks arrived, the order was incorrect. The food was decent and the drinks were good, but despite booking a table for two, we did not leave until 3:30 due to slow service. We had only intended to have a quick lunch before needing to be elsewhere. It is unfortunate, as the restaurant is nice, but there appears to be a serious issue with training, staff morale, or both. We would not recommend this place. There are better options for cheaper where your custom may be appreciated more."

"After hearing great reviews and being a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, I decided to give this restaurant a try. I was disappointed with the slow service, as the waitress took 5 minutes to come and take my order even though the restaurant was empty. The starter I had ordered did not arrive as requested, and a different starter appeared with the bread that was supposed to come with my main course. To make matters worse, my main course arrived before I had even touched my starter, and my drink was never served. When I pointed out the mistakes to the waitress, she brought the wrong item and did not seem to understand the issues. The person who I assumed was the manager also did not address the problems effectively. Despite the decent quality of the food, the overall experience was disappointing and marred by poor service. Additionally, I was charged for the incorrect starter that was brought to me twice."

"My wife ordered and loved her falafel burger with chips. I ordered the Tofish and Chips. I was impressed by the batter on the fake fish but that was only because of the look and texture. The inside was really just plain tofu, and the whole thing did not taste like anything. No marinade on the tofu, no seasoning, nothing. Also, the tartar sauce didn't taste like tartar sauce. No bite or edge to it. The best part of my meal was the peas, which were delightful. The biggest issue with this place, and the reason I'd never return or recommend it, is the owner's incessant commentary, including calling my wife madam a couple dozen times in about forty-five minutes. I know that's just him being polite but because he interrupted our meal so many times, it just became grating. Finally, when I stood up to leave, the owner asked me what the rush was, then said to my wife, Don't worry, madam, I'll take you home Are you serious? That is simply not cool. So, even if I loved the food, I would warn everyone against this overbearing, disrespectful owner. I'd especially suggest avoiding this place if you are a single woman, like the previous reviewer. "I made a reservation at this restaurant for Father's Day and I am so happy that I did. It was easy to find parking outside, the decor was lovely, and we were seated at a nice table by the window. Our waitress, Beth, was outstanding. She made us feel very welcome and provided excellent service. We had a wonderful time at Joe's Kitchen. The food was delicious with a variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere was cozy and beautifully decorated. Beth was so friendly and engaged in conversations and laughter with our table. She is exceptional at her job and we all had a fantastic celebratory meal thanks to Beth and the rest of the team. I would definitely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to my colleagues, family, and friends."

"Myself and two friends went to Barnyard on Saturday. The restaurant was quiet. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We had starters which were delicious. Salt and Pepper calamari was amazing. "I chose this restaurant for a relaxed Monday dinner with three friends. Three of us ordered the Chicken Couscous, while I opted for the Lamb Shoulder with vermicelli rice. We started with hummus and fluffy pita bread. The portions were generous and the flavors were amazing. The Moroccan cuisine was new to us, but the menu was well explained. We only stopped eating when we remembered we had to walk that night. The only issue was that one of our drink orders was forgotten until halfway through the starter, but it was brought out once they realized the mistake. Overall, we had a great dining experience."

My daughter, who is a veterinary nurse, was told that they didn't offer her more drinks or dessert because they didn't think she could afford it. She would never eat somewhere she couldn't afford. The offer of a free meal was declined, as there was concern it may be tainted. Overall, the service was very disappointing. Dining in for dinner was the meal type."

"The food was very tasty with a good selection, brilliant salad bar to compliment the mains. Deserts were also plentiful with fresh waffles and pancakes being made. The resturant is in a good spot overlooking the Southwater lake and convenient for the park to work it off in afterwards (for adults and children . My only negative is that it wasn't as clean as it could have been. Crockery and cutlery not washed well so had to root for a suitable plate to use."

The salad was starting to go soggy and tasted off, while the noodles were both hard and burnt. Surprisingly, even the watermelon was dry, which is something I have never experienced before. Overall, it was quite disappointing, especially since we came for my daughter's birthday expecting a wide variety of choices but ended up with limited options. The price we paid did not match the quality of the food we received. I would not recommend this place."

The staff were friendly and helpful in detailing the menu and the hot rock and what we should do! The food was fresh and tasty. we ordered starter Atomic chicken wings Traditional prawn cocktail it was amazing main was Ostrich with couscous chips, Camel with salad chips, pizza garlic bread as side. next time we trying something else like Venison, Llama, Rose veal, Buffalo etc. Can't recommend it enough. A must must visit."

"Wonderful evening! Thank you to the team at Renoufs Southbourne. We had a lovely evening with some fantastic cheese and wine! We ordered the £39.95 sharing board which came with a choice of 3 meats and 3 cheeses, pate, bread and pickles. We added a baked camembert, hot chorizo and one extra cheese. Probably a mistake on our part as we had to leave some as there was so much! The cheeses were lovely, in particular the Red Devil chilli cheese was gorgeous. The meats were great, especially the venison salami. Special shout out to James, the manager and sommelier, who suggested the orange wine, Martin Codax. It was really quite special. Thank you! We should also mention Imogen, who took our order and was very polite, professional and friendly. We ordered gluten free bread, but we didn't make it clear it was for the both of us (our fault), so when 2 baskets came out, one gluten and one gluten free, they changed the gluten one without quibble. Lovely ambience, fantastic staff and some of the nicest cheeses we have had. Also, very reasonably priced. Thanks guys, and see you again soon!"
