"We have visited this restaurant many times and have always had great food and great fun. Unfortunately we visited on the last Saturday before they close for the winter season. The food was poor the service was dreadful and I definitely would tell anyone reading this review NOT to visit on the last day of the season. It was such a disappointment. I did speak with the manager quietly about how I felt and he wasn't remotely interested and I was just brushed aside. I guess not being his restaurant he doesn't have to care about losing customers!"

"I went to the Cracking Crab twice during the Easter holidays. Both times I had my two children (5 and 8 with me. The first visit was just me and them and the second time I also had two friends with me. The setting is just beautiful. We sat right next to the window on our first visit and saw the sun go down. On our second visit we were in one of the booths but still could see the view of the beach very well. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and make my children and I feel very welcome. We try and book the earliest table we can for dinner when we have the kids with us to avoid tiredness (the children! and enhance the experience for all of us. I have also been lucky enough to go sans children with my husband on a few occasions and have had some lovely, intimate dinners at table number 1! I love seafood and wine and both are very good here. Can't wait to go back in the summer!"
