"My experience last night started off with a friendly greeting from a waiter who sat us both down at a spacious table of 4. For starters, I'm super pleased with the portions and quality of the food. Our main was chicken shish which was so delicious. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long to get served. Towards the end of our night the waiters gave us complimentary Baklava on the house which was a lovely surpise, so kind of them . Will definitely go back there, they really looked after us and treated us incredibly well. I did not feel rushed at all to leave, it was very welcoming. Defo recommende"

"eat by iftar. I booked for 20:30 and was told that my booking was for 20:45 (shown e-mail proves, but they said someone had to put them wrong. So was late with my wife who had starved. hadn't got the rib eye sexter, so I ordered a fillet steak. I have a rare woman who became medium-sized. was decent, but I prefer rip eyes. crispy garnelen were very nice. the ribs were the star of the show. it was all a little expensive, but I guess the total cost of living anyway increased. probably it will come back."

"Just few things that could be improved: Social distancing between service staff and dinners Waitress asked if my year old wants diluted drink instead of water times and I had to say no each time, at the end my year old asked for it and got it, I felt it was forced. You ask once and that's it!Main course fish was very small for an adult portion Kids main course spaghetti bolognese was way too dear for kids mainsAt the end when I went up to pay I was overcharged by but it was refunded when I highlighted itIt's a lovely place and food was tasty with great atmosphere but its the little things like this that brought down the points. But we will be back to give it another chance"

"We were the only diners, apart from a big coach party of the pensioners. There was a self-service car set up for them that gave the impression of a budget-eating option. We sat at the edge of the room and felt like intruders. The menu selection was not very extensive and there was no set menu option. The scallop star was 3 scallops for just under £10. The veggie risotto was boiled and stodgy I suspect it was from the freezer. My pest should be plucked, but it was boiled under and showed no signs of any taste that panfries would have given. The skin would not separate from the meat because it had not been cooked enough and was soggy. The waitress made a complete mesh to fill it for me, I ended up with an inconspicuous and inconspicuous bunch of fish I couldn't eat as I couldn't separate the skin. The fish was cold until then, I ate it. The sauce served with the fish was disgusting. It was all unacceptable for a four-star hotel. We would have had a bar meal that looked much more attractive and there was a wide range. (The bar also serves great cocktails.) We stayed at the hotel during the visit of family so food seemed the best choice, but while we would stay at the hotel again, we would not try to eat again in this restaurant."

"All I can say is wow! Food, service and atmosphere were all top notch here today. The patio was stunning and full of sunshine but it was well laid out and open too. The food was amazing great roast meals and loved the sandwiches. The desserts were fantastic as well.. the sticky toffee pudding and blondie tasted amazing! Finally, service was brilliant too. Our server was really friendly and quick and everhthing came out really quickly too. I would definitely recommend a visit and will be returning for sure!"

We should have had a bar meal those looked much more appealing and there was a wide range. (The bar served great cocktails too.)We were staying over at the hotel whilst visiting family so eating in seemed the best choice but, whilst we would stay at the hotel again, we would not contemplate eating in this restaurant again."

"We were site seeing from Canada for stuff about my family and came upon the White Swan and wanting a traditional pub food we stopped in. My two sons had the bacon cheese burgers and they said it was best burgers they've had even the fries got a thumbs up. Daughter had the beef stroganoff, I had sausage and mash and my husband had the meat pie, all were very well done and hot. Service was impeccable. If we are back in the area again we will definitely put it on our list."

"This is a rather unassuming Hilton Hotel with an even more unassuming Axis Bar and Restaurant. When we got here it just looked like a very small lobby area with food! It did not stand out as a Hilton. However, I cannot complain about the service or the food. Both were exceptional. The food was freshly prepared and very flavoursome. The best thing was that the portions are just the right size. Not too big! The bread that came out was lovely and warm, the salads fresh. My pasta dish tasted like fresh pasta. They had a good choice of wines though no sommelier. I’m not surprised it’s not as posh as other Hiltons...it’s rather tucked away in Angel. There did not appear to be too many people staying here and the restaurant was quite empty for a Saturday night in the beginning on Summer. It just meant that the place lacked a bit of atmosphere and buzz. But to be honest, my partner and I were happy to have a quiet meal in a calm place! London is always too crowded so this is a good quiet place to be. We loved the food. Beware of the steak and shoulder of lamb as they both have a £9 supplement. But on the whole a great evening. Would come again. Great service from Hakan and Felicity."

"I’ve been a real supporter of HUS since the beginning and I’m so disappointed about how much it’s gradually gone down hill. The food menu is constantly under review and each time it changes it’s for the worse. Today about 10 items were missing from the already reduced menu because they need to “run down the stock” before the new menu comes in. When I asked when this will be nobody knew the answer. There were no buns available for the burgers. Not that I want to eat that anyway, but would it be too difficult to go to Sainsbury’s around the corner to buy some? There’s not a single Scandinavian dish available anymore and that’s what they did really well. The selection of dishes are really random and the food has gone from exceptional to awful. Bring back the small plates menu with specials every week. I don’t want generic snack food done badly. The service is also really lacking now. It’s not even the fault of the staff, there’s just not enough of them. They constantly run out of different items including beer at times. Today I watched a party of 8 people walk out after sitting down. They were on their lunch break and couldn’t wait for the random menu of whatever was available to be printed out. There was also one person on the bar with a queue of about 10 people. If a coffee is ordered everything stops. It wasn’t even worth the wait because when I received my food it was terrible. I’m really gutted that a place that had it so right has deteriorated so badly. Not sure if the chef has left, but I’ve given HUS too many chances because it was a place I used to loved so much. All customers really want in a snack bar type place is quick service, quality food and consistency. HUS doesn’t offer any of those things anymore."
