"This is a rather unassuming Hilton Hotel with an even more unassuming Axis Bar and Restaurant. When we got here it just looked like a very small lobby area with food! It did not stand out as a Hilton. However, I cannot complain about the service or the food. Both were exceptional. The food was freshly prepared and very flavoursome. The best thing was that the portions are just the right size. Not too big! The bread that came out was lovely and warm, the salads fresh. My pasta dish tasted like fresh pasta. They had a good choice of wines though no sommelier. I’m not surprised it’s not as posh as other Hiltons...it’s rather tucked away in Angel. There did not appear to be too many people staying here and the restaurant was quite empty for a Saturday night in the beginning on Summer. It just meant that the place lacked a bit of atmosphere and buzz. But to be honest, my partner and I were happy to have a quiet meal in a calm place! London is always too crowded so this is a good quiet place to be. We loved the food. Beware of the steak and shoulder of lamb as they both have a £9 supplement. But on the whole a great evening. Would come again. Great service from Hakan and Felicity."

book a room at the hotel hilton islington and I would say that the best part of the stay is breakfast. they offer a heavy breakfast in the executive lounge and I just loved the breakfast menu.

During our hotel stay, we enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant. The breakfast options were typical self-service fare, but on Saturday they had delicious smoked salmon and more fruit choices available. However, the eggs were disappointing, either pre-cooked fried discs or very soggy milky scrambled eggs. Made-to-order eggs would have been a better choice for a Hilton restaurant.

the table was set for a wonderful afternoon tea with friends. a black shade box full of the colorful series of twinings tees was presented to us by axis. there were traditional English, earl grey, assam, peppermint, green tea, red berry and kamille all in tee bag. on the afternoon the staff gave us the choice to have different tees. the tees started with full assam with milk and then went in the direction lighter, but also tastefully red berry and pfefferminz.

Recently, we hosted a private family event at Axis restaurant and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Maria, the events manager, was extremely helpful in planning the event, despite not meeting in person. She quickly resolved any issues and assisted with catering and seating plans, offering flexibility to help stay within budget. The restaurant manager, Adam, went above and beyond to cater to our needs and used his expertise to make the event a success. The staff, including chef Barry, Cosmin, Alex, and Ilayda, worked hard behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend this venue for any event.
