"we approached the writing and asked for a table of 6 to say: "Don't worry about anything until 8 o'clock". that was around 6.05 clock, the restaurant was half empty ... so we went online for 6.15 clock with open re-entered ... told them we had a reservation, observed “some heated words”. between the staff and we were taken to a perfectly empty table for 6. just 50 minutes waiting for our food. that said our server was friendly and apologetic. eating was ok, 2 pizzas, 3 calzones and a sirloin steak, that was definitiw rump, as it was to think and took hard to sirloin! to the happiness we have a taste card so that the meal with a softdrink cost only £10 per head, and we were limited due to a cinema booking for time. lection learned book before entering, and use it taste card, not sure that I would have paid the bill in full amount, we had not discounted!"

"Not sure if this venue has changed hands but its definitely took a nose dive. Slow delivery, driver didnt have right change and we ended up out of pocket. Forgot some of our order too! Ordered a Margarita Pizza and ended up with Cheese n...bean Pizza! Why would you? It was awful. Chicken was dry and inedible. Shame as it's location is prime and very visible. Cleanliness has always been good, as is the price, but serve up poor quality food and you'll end up out of business. Not a good experience.... "We went to Frankie and Benny’s for a delicious authentic Italian lunch as we were getting hungry and wanted to break up a jubilee line journey from Stratford to Green park and remembered this was here and having been once before and liking it I decided to go back.The service was exemplary,our waiter was just fantastic very friendly,chatty and polite.He handed my gluten free allergy really well.Also food came out in about 10 minutes which was great bearing in mind it was all so fresh!The food was absolutely delicious,my gluten free pepperoni pizza was heavenly and you couldn’t get more Italian than a Frankie’s gluten free pepperoni pizza.It was lovely and hot,presented well,good portion sizes,extremely fresh and very good for money!Infact if you visit at lunch time you get 1 course for £9.90.That’s fantastic value and better value than places like Nando’s etc.And with just buying tap water it’s a real bargain which is great as water is one of my favourite drinks,you can never ever ever go wrong with a glass of water.It’s good for you and boots you’re hydration and well-being.Also the decor in here is lovely,all very fresh and beautifully decorated.I love the new Frankie’s decor it’s just so nice and I love it how they have re-visited it.It’s much cooler(temperature wise and fashion wise).I love the lights as well.It is also very spacious and clean.Also toilets were convenient and clean.This is a perfect place for a meal if you are on a train journey,before or after shopping, cinema,bowling or concert.Or after a trampoline session,skydiving session,climbing session or during a day out in London.Would highly recommend this.I reviewed it on tripadvisor as they were displaying the 2022 travellers choice award and they had quite a lot of negative reviews recently and to share my positive experience may help them have that award again this year or in future years"

"Lovely belated birthday meal. We ordered and thought we may have been forgotten nearly had to ask but it came along. I had the new chicken alfresco, luke warm, chips were scording hot had to wait abit to hot, partner had ham and mascapone pizza, there wasn't very much parsley just a dab and pizza was practically tasteless. She was very lovely hostress with us just food let us down. Such a shame as we love the place."

"I’m not sure why there are bad reviews; I have no complaints. I ordered food for myself through Uber Eats this evening, and just before the estimated delivery time, my meal arrived hot and perfectly cooked. I was at the door before the driver knocked, and when I mentioned that everyone was asleep, he kindly said he wouldn’t knock but still tried to contact me via my mobile. The delivery driver was really friendly and chatty, even though he was from Uber. I had requested salad and mayo on my burger, and they were included. The chips could have been a bit better, but chips are usually hit or miss. Overall, I was quite satisfied!"

"I was pleasantly surprised by this place. definitiw the best vegan pizza I had gone since the vegan. better than dominos and pizza hat. no competition. also the vegan “wings” were delicious and the chips with cheese were amazing and this vegan burger.... really surprised how much I enjoyed it. juicy, tasteful and free. all in all, I'd be pretty high up there. I would eat pizza again, but not dominos or pizza hat. both places were müll with vegan pizza. also pizza express vegan pizza were classified lower than here. "Disappointing from the moment we entered. Had to wait longer than expected to be seated and the waitress took far too long to take our drinks order, despite the restaurant not being at capacity. When she did arrive we had already decided on our starters and main course and ordered everything together. The starters arrived but we still had no drinks, very embarrassing from a restaurant point of view. The starters were fine but the mains were way below par. Pasta was slimy and oily and contained only had 3 small meatballs. The included bacon was fatty and undercooked. There was not one single checkback from the waitress. Overall, a very poor experience and we won't be in a hurry to return."

"We chose this as a post -theatre meal after seeing a matinee in London. Being near the theatre it was very busy but the staff couldn't be more friendly and efficient. "I haven't been to a Frankie & Benny's in years, so my girlfriend and I decided to have dinner there tonight. I started with mozzarella sticks, which were good, and she had cheese bacon potato skins, which she enjoyed, so we were off to a good start. I ordered a margherita pizza and she ordered bolognese. However, the cheese on the pizza was hard, congealed, and plasticky (definitely not mozzarella), so I had to pick a lot of it off. The pasta in the bolognese was a strange brown color instead of a red tomato sauce, and my girlfriend thought it tasted odd (some of the pasta was also congealed). We also ordered loaded lava fries, which arrived dry with no sauce, so I had to send them back to be made properly. The total bill came to nearly £50, but luckily they accepted my blue light card, so we got a 20% discount. If it weren't for the discount, I would have been even more displeased. We definitely won't be returning, so save your money and go somewhere that serves better quality food."

"was exited to go to frankie and benny’s after a long day in cardiff, and was soon very disappointed when we ordered our food and it then took over an hour for our food to actually arrive. bare in mind there was only two other people in the whole restaurant and was not busy in the slightest. we had all ordered off the kids menu which we had thought would take a quicker time to arrive. we waited over an hour for the food to arrive and when we asked the server how long our food will take she said 5 minutes, this was wrong as it then came 10 minutes later at which this time we were all very upset and very hungry. when the food finally came the wait was not worth it!! i ordered pasta and mashed potato, the mash potatoes was dry and chewy and the pasta had no flavour and was just bland. Because of the awful service we decided that it would be better to takeaway our desserts instead of wait longer to eat them in the restaurant. the chef had told us the desserts will be two seconds and we had to wait another 10 minutes and on top of that they didn’t give us any cutlery and so we had to eat our ice cream with our hands. very upset and disappointed and this disgusting behaviour. not visiting ever again."

"I understand that it was Mother's Day, but a reservation should not have been accepted if there was no possibility of being seated close to the scheduled time. My group of six, including two young children, had to wait by the front door for 25 minutes past our reservation time. We were then instructed to wait at the crowded bar, which was being used as a makeshift waiting area. Eventually, we gave up and left as it seemed like there was no organization or control. The staff blamed the delays on the kitchen, but it appeared that they had lost control of the situation. People were cutting in line and being escorted directly to the bar, with no consideration given to those who had been waiting. It was clear that the restaurant was not prepared for the busy Mother's Day rush."

"My previous review of: Nice atmosphere, good food attentive staff, made a great evening, didn't come to that expectation level this time, except for Kacper who welcomed my wife I to the restaurant served us through our visit. Wanting only main meals to share from the menu, the spaghetti prawn dish was lovely, the wife was pleased we asked that the chillies came separately! On the other hand the pizza was dry sparsely accompanied with tomato, cheese or pepperoni resembled trying to eat cardboard. We asked for the pizza to be re presented with an expected covering, only to receive it back to our table with a few globules of cheese scattered on it! Okay, we ate the middle of the pizza, with a little help of some mayonnaise left the rest. While a waitress collected our plates, we informed her that the pizza was awful not to standard To our amazement she laughed walked away!!! We did eventually speak to Kacper, who had been aware of the situation we accepted his offer of refunding the pizza. We were assured that the level of our pizza was not up to their usual standard, but looking around it seemed to be exactly the same as other pizza diners were receiving! There is no shortage of tomato's, cheese or pepperoni, as far as I know, so why skimp on what you serve to your loyal customers? It definitely won't be pizza, we'll be coming back for!!!"

"Made a booking for 7pm as wasn’t sure how busy it would be and didn’t want to be turned away. Arrived 6.50pm and taken straight to table. 7pm drinks order taken. 7.20pm food order taken. Meal didn’t arrive until 8pm. Food was great and just what we ordered however the long wait ruined the enjoyment. It looked like a lot of take away orders were being prioritised above sit ins which is a disappointment. We had made the effort to attend in person and would have gladly spent more money here but the wait put us off. I wouldn’t rush back here and I wouldn’t recommend to family and friends as I wouldn’t want them to be disappointed. Sad to think that higher management may see a decline in footfall and close store because of this but the truth is people do wish to visit for a sit in meal but the poor service is off putting."
