"Lovely looking restaurant. Wasn't very busy when we ate. My steak was warm my partners was very nice. One of my side didn't even arrive until until I had finished my steak even though I was told it was coming when food was delivered and then had to ask again and still waited 15 minutes. Partner also rang 4 days before as it was my birthday and in the day to remind asking if they could do a surprise for me (I didn't know until we had left) and nothing even though they had told her they would. We had paid 165 quid which is a lot of money for us. But service was awful and didn't have prawns in stock either. Will defo not be returning. Much better places t9 visit in the area.."

"This is my favorite restaurant. The food is always cooked to perfection, with a menu that offers interesting twists on classic dishes using local ingredients. The wine list is extensive, featuring high-quality wines and a large selection of beers. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the enclosed garden provides a relaxing space to enjoy a meal. The staff is always friendly and attentive, providing great recommendations for food. "Menu was fairly limited and they had already sold out of sirloin steak surely a pub food staple by We ordered cod and chips which, to be fair, was good but despite our food arriving almost too quickly and being asked what we wanted for dessert when our plates were cleared, we did not see a waiterwaitress all evening. Noone came back to take our dessert order so we went without, we sat with empty drinks glasses and then had to stop a waiter to order coffee which was watery and weak. The meal was good value for money but only because we ate on the ‘Eat Out Scheme’ not deliberate on our part as were out for our wedding anniversary and would have paid full price. We have eaten at the Walnut Tree many times before but it lacked the warm, cosy intimacy of previous years maybe due to social distancing The restaurant seemed quite bare and sadly lacking in decor, character and atmosphere"

"I made a reservation at this restaurant for Father's Day and I am so happy that I did. It was easy to find parking outside, the decor was lovely, and we were seated at a nice table by the window. Our waitress, Beth, was outstanding. She made us feel very welcome and provided excellent service. We had a wonderful time at Joe's Kitchen. The food was delicious with a variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere was cozy and beautifully decorated. Beth was so friendly and engaged in conversations and laughter with our table. She is exceptional at her job and we all had a fantastic celebratory meal thanks to Beth and the rest of the team. I would definitely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to my colleagues, family, and friends."

"July 2nd, It was our first evening returning to shop inthe city centre, and we noted that the doors of this restaurant were open again. We hadn't planned on eating out but they were so welcoming . We were hooked and were able to get a table for 2 unreserved with a welcome smile from everyone. It was calm restful indoors with plenty seating outside but a bit chilly so we got a table on the high stools next to the glass shielded bar counter. We had great menu choices and our server was delightful. Staff and Management wear cool face visors, plenty of hand sanitisers throughout. One use paper menus on all the tables. My friend had the Cornstore Beefburger with a tarragon mayo with she really enjoyed. I had a medium Ribeye Steak with Peppercorn sauce and a recommended side of mash. It was a delight. Bathrooms were spotless and everyone well distanced throughout. Well done to all, the experience gladdened our hearts and souls during these extraordinary times and we felt in safe hands.(My reason for 4 stars for the food instead of 5 would be that the steak would be even better value and flavour with a few FF onion rings or sauté onions to enhance the finished dish. Seemed very plain compared to a premium beefburger that has more bells and whistles and value if deciding to eat beef.."

"The place has went up dramatically, in my estimation, since pre-pandemic, to the re-opening in April. Much better staff and management, and more efficient in general. Beer garden is much nicer than before, enclosed with a lovely decor. Food is very good and well priced too. Paddy and Donnie are very helpful and friendly. Keep up the good work!"

"If you enjoy chicken, then you have to check out this restaurant! 1. The chicken at Hamn is amazing. The Waku Waku series, especially the mushroom-coated steaks, are delicious. The rice is perfectly cooked and the chips are a bit too heavy, but still tasty. The portion sizes can vary from day to day, sometimes being impressive and other times not so much. Kids love the chicken fillet and parmesan dishes. 2. There are plenty of seats, although some may have limited legroom. 3. The customer service is always polite and efficient, though they can get busy at times. 4. The restaurant also has bedroom facilities for those interested, but make sure to inquire about them beforehand. Overall, a great dining experience with delicious chicken dishes."

"Appalling service! My boyfriend made the first order took his money didn’t give an order number and said if there’s no order there’s no order was told that his money would be back in the account in a few minutes.... still hasn’t, then I went...on to order it but they kept on cancelling the order,after giving up a lady called to say they didn’t have the cake left so we decided to have the cheese cake even though it said it was cancelled lucky we didn’t go to somewhere else otherwise two orders would have arrived, rubbish communication and messed ya about!! when the food finally arrive after 2 hours they had forgotten the fries and for nearly £40 there was bear minimal, very disappointed!!!!"

"My wife and I went for a meal here near end July 2024. The place was nearly empty. Little atmosphere or ambience. We both had Sea Bass for main coarse....and duly our meal arrived. Nice sea bass...but very small and served on a ton of risotto (to fill out the meal , I presume). All tasty enough. But the meal was expensive for what we got and poor value for money. "Sometimes I am hesitant about eating at Nando 's as I feel it 's a bet against whether I will be satisfied or not. I don 't know why that is! Maybe it is because it is a franchise, although I have never had a bad experience at a Nando 's restaurant. Nonetheless, I was a fool to be hesitant! Yummy Chicken! Going to the gym straight after work, I felt like I needed some food straight afterwards and a friend of mine often says: a chicken wrap is the perfect post-workout snack. So having this in my head and knowing there was a Nando 's only a minute 's walk from the gym, we decided to pop in, and this changed my perception completely! Rather than grabbing food to takeaway, which was the original plan, we decided to sit in and order. What can I say; I was more than satisfied with the decision. I ordered the Butterfly Burger with the hot sauce marinade and fries. It was a great portion size and the chicken (two chicken breasts! was nice and thick and perfectly cooked; the hot sauce gave the food an incredible kick! The chicken came on a Portuguese roll , which resemble a tough bun, and lettuce and a slice of a large tomato. With my fries, I had the extra hot sauce to dip. Very nice! My only critique was that the fries were lukewarm, but not exactly devastating. My girlfriend had the super food Quinoa Salad with Chicken Breast fillet. She loved it! Again it was a great portion size and she said it was one of the best salad 's she 's had in the UK; and this is a girl that frequents the German salad restaurant Dean David 's on a regular basis, so she knows a good salad, when she 's presented with one. The only issue she had was the lack of Avocado in the salad, but this was easily resolved by talking to the kitchen and she got extra Avocado slices on the side. I even added a bit of Avocado to my dish, and it added something extra to my burger. Tasty! It was around 19:00 on a Wednesday night when we visited and the restaurant was just starting to fill up, quiet at first so ordering wasn 't an issue and the food arrived quite quickly. This Nando 's can be a little drafty when the door is opened due to the open plan layout, but moving tables was fine. The price was mid-range, which is normal for the city centre, and the quality is definitely worth it. We paid around £20 for food. I was extremely happy with the food, and I can now say that there is no reason to doubt the quality of the food here, and I may just visit again for a post-workout snack ."

"that was my second visit to kitch. we were a group of 5, who wanted to celebrate somewhere the introduction of the marriage equality with ni with a few drinks without breaking the bank. the BYOB option they have mondays to wednesday delivered this in a nice welcoming atmosphere where we could also hear mutual talk. we had a beautiful window seat and gave us a separate small section, without feeling as if we were forgotten in a corner or from the restaurant atmosphere. eating was exceptional, we had the 2 courses for £15 early booking menu, which offered great value. the starters were very generous for this type of menu and they could surprise me with their haddock and chips. an obvious clip I thought I knew what to expect, but it was much above average especially the beautiful hand cut chips. the personal was all beautiful, got us what we needed and regularly checked to see if we were ready for more of our drinks that they thought for us in the refrigerator. many thanks for facilitating such an important and beautiful opportunity for us!"

"We came early for a pre concert meal. The staff were welcoming and the restaurant has was already quite busy. We ordered a glass of house wine of good quality a main dish, side salad and desert. We both chose the fresh=made ravioli with crab meat with a lobster bisque sauce, which was delicious, along with a very fresh mozzarella/tomato salad. A shared ice cream desert rounded off a very enjoyable meal. Service was professional and friendly. Highly recommended."

"It was our second time visiting Freddo’s in 2 weeks since the food is so tasty. Everything we have tried has been delicious though the beef burger was a bit dry. Special mentions to the chicken wings and the halloumi fries as starters, and the tandoori chicken pasta main. The only thing that lets Freddo’s down is the service. Staff are nice, but perhaps a bit inexperienced? Mains were served whilst we were still eating our starters (we only received them max 4 5 mins before), meaning they had time to lose heat before we could begin them. Overall, a good experience at a reasonable price point. Will return to try more of the menu for sure."

"Bad service the whole way through. I can see that the restaurant has told other reviewers that they have checked their CCTV . I would love for you to check the CCTV and see what we saw! I am only posting this as your restaurant contacted OpenTable to state we were no shows. Unfortunately we did show. How did you miss us in a practically empty restaurant? We had to chase for water, napkins, plates, condiments etc. Took a napkin from the empty table next to us eventually. 5 mins later a femal staff member walked over and dumped about 10 napkins on our table and walked away. Aggressive much! The quickest part was getting the bill. My partner was served a cocktail that was approximately 1 sip and it was gone as the Martini glass resembled something from a doll 's house play set. Staff openly talking about us in ear shot huff, puff, what do they want , WHAT 'S WRONG yelled from the bar when we requested another drink from a waitress. Food... Garlic bread? Covered in rosemary, couldn 't find/see/taste garlic. Burger bun a brick, chips cooked on the outside not the middle and my chicken was so dry it peeled and was like string. Checked the review site before we went and saw 4.3 so thought this will be great. As meal became worse and worse we read the comments in the reviews. Filter anything from the last 4-6 months and it 's ALL bad. I am assuming I am too going to be called malicious as a previous review was and I see they had a real similar experience to us. No wonder it was practically empty at 9pm on a sat night. We won 't be going back. Refused to pay service which they after a fashion fianlly broken hearted it seemed accepted but we 're so disappointed. The venue looks beautiful, menu looks great and there were 2 staff members out if the team of 6 or so who we saw, who when they appeared were not particulary helpful but the whole experience was shocking. £80+ for 2 people, 2 mains a sharer starter, 4 drinks and 2 sides for what we got in hindsight unacceptable I should have argued for most of the food to be removed from the bill. Food and anbienc should be renamed Food and Ambulace. The manager sists there watching his CCTV and the owner is raking it in from unsuspecting guests and no doubt pays his staff a pittance so thats why they and the unqualified chef act like this .They need to learn manners. Imagine this lot on a cookery show each week as they would all be evicted on the first eviction date or Lord Sugar would fire the whole lot and ask for a new set of customers.Why are people so dishonest as its theft of you hard earned cash.Dispicable."

"The restaurant has a cozy Art Deco feel and an entrance area flows into a rustic barn for the main seating. There is also an upstairs overflow for larger groups. The service was attentive and polite without being too interruptive. The food was exquisitely prepared and presented but large appetites may require all three courses. We shared a pigeon and beetroot starter and chocolate marquise dessert with coffee ice cream and had two mains of chicken and venison in a jus with potatoes and a few veggies, which was sufficient for our smaller needs. The beers are averagely priced but the wines are a little more expensive, in line with the food, which still represents good value given the attention to detail, quality and ambience. From around 8.15 pm an acoustic guitarist played mellow tunes in the background. The songs rose in popularity as the evening unfolded with the audience applauding every number by the time they were into their second bottle of wine! A top restaurant for an occasion or a special night out."

"The dining room is in the basement – not sure if I noticed disabled access?? Menus were a little tatty – I hate this. Food was better tasting than it looked, which is strange, but there you have it. Nothing ground breaking, very traditional dishes,...but well cooked and perfectly seasoned. The service was polite, fuss free and snappy. It’s certainly not a big occasion place for me, but I’d happily eat a lunch here or dinner again. They do offer good deals in the week, which would definitely take me back."

"I had to ask to be seated as was waiting around. When seated I ordered off the website and was given glasses for the water. Both glasses had food residue on them, I had to ask to get them replaced while 5 staff just stood and talked. All the cutlery was dirty, it was really fifthly with water marks and food smeared across them like they were partially washed. The food was lovely but in all honesty I’ll not be back to this Nando’s again."
