"The food here is very good! We enjoyed everything that we ordered and even asked for seconds on some of the dishes. I highly recommend the Pan con Aceite and Jamón Ibérico for starters. Also, the white sangria pitcher was just perfect and I would very much recommend it. I felt I was transported to Spain through the food, it was that good. Kudos to the chefs! Service was good as well, the only thing of note is for the Paella it is on “pre order”, which I have never seen before at a restaurant. You have to actually notify them in advance if you want the paella which was a bit disappointing. However we ordered a few different dishes to share which tasted great, so it didn’t detract from the experience. The Alcachofas salteadas (artichoke hearts) are a must very delicious! All in all, a great Spanish tapas spot you have to visit in Beckenham!"

"every time we visit, we are more and more impressed, eating and service was spectacular and after the return of barcelona I almost lost the belief in a chance to find a real paella and the one I had here proved wrong. we also tried the croquettes and kabeljau steak and lawd oh lawd it was immaculate. the fish was cooked to perfection and the taste-savings gave us almost a food gas. In summary, you can expect honest and handmade dishes of perfection. another really important aspect is the quality of the service we have received. everyone is very friendly and you know about the menu and recommendations are always on the spot."

"On a positive note, the staff are lovely; it seems like the issue lies with the chef, who clearly has an attitude problem. I’m not picky, but I could cook fish better at home with my eyes closed. It seems the chef has lost their passion, which is really disappointing. This is the second time we’ve had to send food back. This place used to be excellent, but sadly, the standards have slipped significantly. I would recommend going to a Michelin-starred restaurant instead; the prices are comparable, but at least the chefs there take pride in the food they serve. Overall, a major disappointment. "I was treating my husband to a trip on the Watercress Line for his birthday and found this restaurant for lunch in between trips. The food was exquisite and very authentic. We started with the boquerones with some bread and aoili. We lived in Mallorca and boquerones are a favourite for my husband and they were the best we have tasted, just the right amount of lemon and fresh parsley. We followed up with the Octopus a favourite of mine and, again, the best I have ever tasted- recipe please? , gambas, sardines and tomato salad. I have not had sardines like this since I left Spain. Beautifully filleted and the green sauce was so fresh and tasty. The gambas were way better than I expected, far more than a few prawns rolling around in garlic butter that you usually get in this country and in Spain at some restaurants. It was all superb. I asked if they could make a little cake for huzz’s birthday and they made the most delicious chocolate and raspberry cake, complete with candles. My husband suffers from Alzheimer’s which affects his verbal communication and yet the staff were superb with him, friendly, attentive, professional and personable. I could not have asked for more he loved it. Be prepared to feel like a walking garlic clove that has just eaten Christmas dinner after your visit. Thank you Pulpo Negro"

"My father and i Popped in for some lunch on Friday and could not fault the afternoon we had We arrived 20 min early this was not an issue for the staff seated us in the balcony area, staff attentive but not coming over all the time good balance. Food we had was cooked well and plenty flavours in all meals. Value was good and appreciated the server recommendation to use set menu 3 for £17 I think it was then picking another. Nice when get advice like that. Nice choice of lagers father was happy My only point would be the cider having had many Spanish ciders wouldn't say this one was my favourite was ok but many traditional ones out there shame that, but seen as this was only point i can fault place will be visited again in future and 5* on dood /service"

"One of the worst experiences i’ve ever had in hospitality. Firstly, I had a table booked via opentable which the host seemed to have no idea about. She asked us to wait at the bar until she got our table ready. 35 mins later, still waiting to have our drinks order taken, we were seated in the restaurant. This same host seated us and asked if we’d like any water for the table, to which we asked for a jug of tap water. This water never came. Another 30 mins go by, still no food or drinks order. We tried getting the attention of the waiters but no one would come over. Eventually a young man came over, who asked for our drinks order. We had no drinks menu so asked to see one. He took our food order first and then returned with a drinks menu. But no one came back to take our drinks order. Our starters then come out… still no drinks order. When delivering the food we asked if we could order some drinks, and this was the only time we could order drinks for the whole 3 hour duration of our meal. Once we’d had the food, we asked for a dessert menu. Baring in mind, our mains came out exactly 2 hours after the table was booked that shows how slow the service was. No one came to take this dessert order until another 35 mins later. We felt completely abandoned by all the staff. They then had the cheek to add a service charge on. I hate taking the service charge off as i work in hospitality myself but in this instant I was gobsmacked they even put it on. Wouldn’t return even if it was my last meal on earth."

"This place is lovely. Perfect for a night picking away at delicious tapas, drinking classic, very well made cocktails. I did feel like I was in a cosy cantina. I was there with friends but I would definitely recommend this for date night. The waitress...was witty and knowledgeable, providing us with lots of good advice and I like the fact that if you're still hungry, you can just order more. Only a few things that I would consider when choosing to return: I think 9 a gin a person should be notified it's a double they are actually paying for, incase you just want a wee one. And finally, as a totally body/people positive person, I feel almost bad to be making this observation the waitress' uniform should be considered, tiny white crop top with no underwear underneath, I personally feel is a little much with dinner. They looked amazing, it just didn't feel like the right environment for that attire."

"We stopped by this restaurant for lunch before the Eagles concert and we were so happy that we did! We were initially hesitant because the sign only had writing on it, but we spoke to someone and they welcomed us in. The food was delicious, I loved that it came out just as we ordered so we could enjoy a leisurely meal. The staff was lovely and welcoming. Overall, it was an excellent and enjoyable place to dine. Highly recommend!"

"Service was great, place was lovely but really disappointed in the food. The ingredients were clearly good quality but there was no zing, seasoning was absent. Options on the menu read really well innovative and interesting but the cooking was a million miles away from the good quality meals we have enjoyed in Spain. The belly pork was chewy, not slow cooked and rendered, the zarzuela was acceptable. I didnt have any fried options and that might have made a difference. All the plates came out at the same time rather than in a trickle. If I had had the four tapas option midweek then I might have been happy but at full price this was a miss. I will give it another chance but at the moment its not a go to place. Vegetarian options: Actually thought the vegi options were quite good considering."
