"As dining experiences go, this was average. Nothing terrible but nothing to rave about either. There’s always a premium attached for food at a fancy restaurant because of the fancy restaurant experience but this isn’t a fancy restaurant and definitely doesn’t warrant the prices they charge. Service started off poor. It took ages for someone to come over after we were offhandedly pointed to a table and that initial service was a waiter who seemed to be annoyed that I’d looked at the drinks list before he’d got to our table. Service improved after that different waiting staff but again, not enough to warrant the 12.5% service charge that B&H throw on to the bill. Food was decent. That’s as far as I’d go. Not bad but not memorable. Certainly overpriced. As for atmosphere and ambience, this is primarily a bar with the associated noise levels so keep that in mind if you’re going for a meal there."

"Shortly after the start of 2022, I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant tucked away in a Portsmouth side street. The outdoor garden, despite its location directly on the street, offers a surprisingly peaceful setting with trees that make you forget you're in a bustling city. While there is indoor seating available, the best experience is had by dining al fresco. They offer a dedicated vegan menu, although I was a bit confused by the desserts menu being the same as the regular menu. I would advise confirming with the staff to ensure all desserts are vegan. I reached out to inquire about vegan hot chocolate and received a prompt and informative response confirming its availability, which I appreciated. The vegan menu may not be as extensive as expected, but it still offers enough variety for multiple visits, particularly if you enjoy pizza. I tried the diced corn ribs, which were delicious, though the chips were a bit soggy. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and attentive staff, making it a great choice for a sunny day in Southsea."

I was surprised as it seemed all of there Tattoo's were spelt correctly.... one of them had 5 teeth ... that was quite a lot really for that group... Our visit was about 8pm on a Friday night..the 2 doorman did tell these women off .. as every other word ...they seemed to be screaming Swear words... Soo pleased to get out LoL"

"Fantastic variety on the menu. It 's a pleasure to have healthy options and still feel like you are having a treat. We ordered two cod lions, which was served with a smoke (glass and all! FABULOUS is the first word that comes to my mind to describe the taste! My husband had 'Rabbit Pie ', which was so tender and my dad ordered one enormous burger. 10/10 for the food. Topped of with the personal touch, handwritten chocolate message for a family member-thank you Gav and staff. If you have never been here before, then your missing out on 'Great food, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff '. 'The Den ' is Herefordshire not so secret gem. Give it a try."

"I took my partner to this restaurant for their birthday, but unfortunately the steak we wanted was not available. We then ordered another steak, only to be told they were out of that as well. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant, the service was not very good. We had to leave and find another place nearby to celebrate my partner's special day. Overall, it was a disappointing end to what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner."

"Working away for my company I have been to numerous smokehouse style restaurants and can honestly say Bare Grills was the clear winner so far. I visited with my family on a personal meal not funded by my employer and it was a group choice to visit this restaurant. I had been to the same location some years ago probably 2015 when it used to be owned by Grillstock. The location is Clifton Triangle and luckily the West End multistorey car park had just re-opened after a lengthy closure £3 for 2 hours . We arrived at 5pm and there was already 3 or 4 tables eating there food when we arrived, the music was great if you love southern rock and that style which I do. We were asked for our drink order first, and then ordered our food. The order was 1 x Double Bacon Burger 1 x Filthy Pig Burger 1 x Piggyback Burger 2 x Dirty Fries with crispy bacon 1 x Dirty Fries with pulled pork The food arrived promptly and looked amazing see images , the fries were so nice with the sauce and topping bacon or pulled pork given them an extra level of delicousness! The burgers were amazing, I had the Piggy Back which is bacon and 4 burger patties! It was like a skyscraper! It was juicy, well cooked not over cooked before you jump to any conclusion! . It was too big to eat by hand, so i decided to split it into 2 halves, then eat with a knife and fork. My family all enjoyed there meal just as much with 6 plates going back completely clean the fries are seperately ordered to the burgers so on a different plate . As I said in my opinion this is the finest tasting burger fries in a smokehouse restaurant that I have been too, give it a try you will not be dissapointed! Their menu is not just limited to burgers, they have hot dogs, wings and ribs etc too. I will be returning and my family are all in agreement that they loved it too and want to return."

"Staff were rude to other staff. The food was great and curry sauce was amazing but there was a small older woman working there with dark hair and she was speaking so horrible to a younger Indian man who was working there, who was clearly motivated and trying to do his job well. She spoke down to him loudly infront of everyone which just made an atmosphere and was horrible to experience. Despite that the young man was very pleasant and attentive when serving us. Nothing worse seeing bitter old women in a role like that putting down someone who is trying to earn a living and provide a good service."

"I went to the cafe after finding it online specifically for the vegan cinnamon buns on a Saturday. There were none left by the time we got there and the lovely lady offered to make me some and to come back in 1 hour They were delicious, such friendly service. I'm intolerant to dairy and eggs so it was the first time I'd eaten pastry in a long time. This was a very special experience, made better by the wonderful staff. Next time I will pre order the buns! Thoroughly recommend."
