"We had a table for eight for Sunday lunch and decided to go with the set menu, which offered great value at £20 for three courses. There were four options for each course: starters, mains, and desserts. We started with calamari, spicy meatballs, and halloumi. For our main course, everyone chose the sirloin of beef, which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, vegetables, and gravy. For dessert, we enjoyed a variety of options including chocolate brownie, Baileys crème brûlée, tiramisu, and panna cotta. The portion sizes were generous, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The restaurant was quite quiet, with only two other tables occupied, but it still had a pleasant atmosphere. The service was outstanding, with very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place!"

"Terrible experience. Table booked for 9pm but when we arrived it wasn't ready. They led us to the bar to wait there but the bar was full. So they seated us in the DJ booth for over 15 minutes. There were menus on the tables but no one came to take our order. The music was blasting so we couldn't have a conversation. Eventually we got our table. We ordered and tried to get out of there as quickly as possible as we couldn't talk. Why management are trying to turn a restaurant into a club is beyond me. There were a lot of older folks around and I don't think that was their vibe either. Food was mediocre at best. Wouldn't order the burger again."

"Dinner here was supposed to be one of the highlights of a week away over Christmas. Sadly did not live up to the expectation. The main reason being that as soon as we five were seated, we were given a list of menu options of what was no longer available. In 40 years I have never faced a list of missing options in any restaurant, perhaps the odd 1 or 2 options. Disappointment was compounded by the wholly inappropriate excuse that there was insufficient food because it was Christmas!! What remained of the evening was OK, food was OK and the service was good. All in all, it was a let down. Recommend that the management up their game with regards to menu planning and food ordering in the future."

"Went as a group of 6 for a friends birthday and had The Best time. Huge range of food and all of it was absolutely delicious satay sauce...such a small point but! it was superb! all arrived piping hot and super tasty. We moved on to Beer Pong, the manager arranged for us to go on as a group hadn't turned up and we didn't know you had to book. Very kind helpful man! Was BRILLIANT fun special mention to Henry who looked after us in the best possible way a Happy Birthday pud for our friend some shots (which were surprisingly LOVELY! at the horseshoe table. Made sure we all had a great experience. Highly recommend this place for an all round top evening. "

"Pre booked a table of 4. On arrival the welcoming was non existent and the waiter half heartily pointed to an area to sit. Ordered our food and drink. The waiter misunderstood one of the drinks which is fine because it was swiftly corrected but at the end we were charged for the unwanted item that then had to be corrected. What became clear the place is badly managed. One of our guests wanted to sit comfortably on the chair without one of the fake furry rugs hanging over it. When asked what to do with it the guy hanging behind the bar using his laptop could barely have the effort to verbally assist. This was the second red flag during our visit. Whilst waiting for our food we noticed a line of staff admiring the food under the heat lamps. It appeared to look like our dishes. 10mins later the food remained unattended under the lamps no staff to be found. I decided to speak to the manager. I simply asked if the dishes were for our table because they had been waiting for a vast amount of time. After a few pressing buttons on the touch screen the manager admitted they were in deed for our table. The food was delivered however my fish batter was soggy probably from absorbing the moisture from the fish. I raised a complaint with the manager who swiftly took the plate away and within 3 5mins returned what appeared to have been the same piece of battered fish only refried and a darker toned batter. The fish now was dry, mushy peas cold and the chips warmish and hard. It appears there was little time to drain the oil from the fry as you’ll see in the photo. I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed because I had suggested booking this restaurant for the meal. In comparison to previous visits over the years this place has rapidly gone downhill. No excuse the inside was practically empty and half capacity outside with plenty of staff at hand with the exception of the guy doing his business on the laptop close to the customers table. With so much competition and high standards in the hospitality sector base on todays experience I will never use a Drake and Morgan venue for business or private. You can cheat on me once."

"We had a wonderful belated celebration for my sister's birthday at this restaurant. The strawberry decorations outside were truly amazing, and the staff's aprons were absolutely brilliant. We enjoyed two glasses of prosecco, a burger with chips, and a shepherds pie. Without even asking, a bottle of Worcester Sauce appeared, which was a nice touch. The staff were incredibly charming and we definitely recommend this place."

"Absolutely fantastic! We came for the curry evening which is held every Tuesday. £12 for a curry, rice or naan and drink (soft drink, wine or beer). It’s amazingly good value for money and we really enjoyed the food. Particular highlights were the lamb saag, lamb vindaloo, chicken bhuna and chicken korma. The soft buttered naans were amazing too and seemed like they had come straight out of a tandoor. Just fantastic! "I go there fairly regularly because I'm lucky enough to live not too far away. It's the best value for money restaurant that I know if you want exceptional service and an exotic, beautiful décor at an affordable price. The summer menu has a strawberry, lavender and elderflower trifle that is just to die for !!! This alone is worth the trip over... A real OMG moment. "I came here for dinner before going to watch the opera. Upon entering the waiter suggested that I was lucky to gain access to what I could see was an empty restaurant (not a great start I guess it was too exclusive for the likes of me (if some of the staff have an issue with serving the general public then don't offer tables to them . I was then seated and given the drinks menu. I asked a very lovely and welcoming bartender for a drinks suggestion and he suggested a drink which I proceeded to order. Only when the drink was served did I find that the waiter (the one that had greeted me had changed my drink as the sprint used to make the drink was on the pricey side (according to him , he didn't ask me if I wanted it changed, he just assumed I couldn't afford it. After that, I was pretty offended so I paid the bill for the drink I didn't order and left! I remember this day like it was yesterday, never have I been so offended. Never going back there! (Don't judge a book by it's cover!!!"

"It's a very nice restaurant with a casual gastro pub vibe. The food was delicious and good portion sizes. The service was quite slow and it was a little confusing who was supposed to be looking after our table. We had queries that seemed to bounce around the staff. A real shame as I think with better service this would have been a much higher rating. Despite this, the restaurant was clean, the food was good and the staff were friendly but a little distant."

"The food was really nice and the staff were very friendly and the interior is beautiful. Only issue is if you go on a Friday or Saturday night expect a wait on the food. We went Saturday evening and were waiting quite a while (an hourish) . The place was full to the brim so it was understandable. We where also offered a free round of drinks for the wait too . "I went here with my gf for mum, I really enjoyed it and it seems dona good trade supply food to all the demand I saw to eat a series of chaps. the dimme sum was freshly tasting, it was very tasty and I sometimes underestimated how temperature hot it would be and I had to wait until I had to cool down. I'm from hongkong and I was impressed with the food. the ribs had a beautiful sauce they had in their mouth tender flesh. the siu mai well made and freshly made. the crispy pork bauchnabel bao was beautiful because the skin was so delicious and crispy in a white bao. the sweet fish cakes were so pleasant I ordered two plates. the dizzying dumplings were very well filled. they had nothing sweet, which I would recommend, because the fried milk bars were not on camp. excellent service the ladies there were so beautiful and polite. they made sure we were good at lunch. "Afternoon tea was not the best experience. We were kept waiting at the door for about 10 minutes for some unexplained reason for a start, although we had a booking. Tea consisted of 3 sandwiches, two of them tiny, a cupcake, 2 scones (why 2, I don 't know), a tiny pot of chocolate something, a square inch of fruit cake, tiny smoothie and a hot drink, for £29.95. Champagne was £10 extra. There was a question on the booking form about dietary requirements, so I noted that I was vegetarian, but I was told at the table that there 's no vegetarian option! Why ask then?? I therefore could only eat one of sandwiches, which were all on spongy mass produced bread . Everything came to the table at the same time, including the coffee and tea which was luke warm on arrival, so we had champagne, a smoothie and hot drink all together. Also, a substantial service charge is added to the bill, so for three people it was over £123!! Appalling price for minute, low quality food!"

"book here for a party of 6 for the Chinese silvesternacht after they do not make the booking for another restaurant due to this busy night. we ordered the peking duck and all the dishes for a happy and wealthy years like fish, noodles and dumplings. the dimming cum dishes came first char sui bungalow and xiao long bao were standard and tasted quite well. there were no spoons tho for the xiao long bao that made it a little harder less traditional. our dishes came next to the damped sea bass was delicious, the bones were taken out (except the side fins that made it easy to eat (but less fun, as I like to flipping the fish when a side is done) the Ho fun (rice nudel with rührei had a bit of everything in it huh, pork, garnel, tinted fish. we also have the plate of chinese broccoli (gai lan with garlic) (they must order a vege in a Chinese restaurant and this has proven to be one of my favorite food of the night. very fragrant and crisp. we also ordered Mongolian king prawn, that was a little disappointing, and actually felt like the sweet sour king prawn court (or perhaps the order mixed. . I also felt really like peking disappointing for old, so was happy to finally get some. I was a bit confused about the difference between peking duck and crispy aromatic duck both on their menu when I checked it at picking up the restaurant. it has been shown that it is a British ding (the population in Britain and the last escape is finished with a deep step, that is the cripple, and apparently it is a bit dry. we have two steam basket of pancakes for our peking duck not sure whether it is because we have asked enough pancake haha. I'm more used to having 2 courses when I pee, but they're not doing this here. we ordered a whole and we also got the usual plum sauce and gurken garlic shoot to go with it. Although we were given only 2 hours of eating time, we were eating pretty fast and finished after only 1.5 hours. they do not desserts, but gave us a lazy lucky cookie that was entertaining as we were in bed after reading each of our gap out loud! everything in all was a pretty good meal and service good (for a Chinese restaurant. we sat in the back room of the restaurant and the atmosphere was good, beautiful bright white walls and table clothes, and maybe not as crowded as the front. but it has a bit loud, because it is all great tables in the back room. some portions of eating felt not very, but overall we went full and happy for only £15 per person. the online booking was simple and (especially given the busy night they called me on the day to confirm our booking."

"I had a good time with a friend on my birthday there. However, there are several points to criticise about the afternoon tea we had: it took 45 minutes to arrive when we had a booking specifically for afternoon tea and other people had long been served already and it really wasn’t busy with new arrivals. The service was friendly and welcoming but seemed very busy and often it took a long time until we were noticed to get some more drinks. The scones were good, the sandwiches rated from not good and we didn’t eat it to very good. We only tried some of the cute looking pastries as felt quite full already at that time. It was very hot and noisy in the restaurant, the bar area however was too cold. Not possible to have a window opened in that area. They need some noise cancelling materials in that large room. It was fine for the day but wouldn’t go again nor recommend."

"I visited this restaurant based on the very good reviews. The older male waiter with the short hair was so rude! We kindly asked if we could be seated on another table as the restaurant was empty but had us seated besides the staff table and another couple during covid19. He responded you are 2, not 6. We didn 't complain that we wanted a bigger table, just another table to be more socially distanced. Funnily enough there were 2 women seated on a table for 6 so I 'm not sure why he let them sit on a table for 6 but wouldn 't allow this same treatment for us. We told him this wasn 't an issue and we would stay seated. He then complained to another staff that we wanted another table. She kindly offered us another table but once again we assured him that we were fine with where we were seated. He continued to speak to us rudely throughout the evening. We spent £100 and spent less than 40 minutes in the restaurant because of how uncomfortable this waiter made us feel. Food was decent but the wagyu beef was overpriced and what tasted like cheap meat would rather spend £50+ on a good steak somewhere. The grilled eel was lovely and can 't be faulted. If you want good Japanese food there are plenty of good spots in the Soho area. This restaurant wasn 't busy on a Saturday evening but we still had the most appalling service."
