"What a find! A delightful thatched hostelry with the most welcoming host, great food and ales and a song thrush to accompany me back to my little campervan. After a 400 mile drive over from France and nearing the end of 1400 miles from Greece, it was the perfect place to shake off the dust and just relax. Exactly what a quintessential country pub should be. Thank you to all the team, but particularly Jon for your warmest of welcome and attending to my huge thirst for proper ale and fish and chips after a 6 months absence! Bravo!"

"I made a reservation through OpenTable and the manager recommended that we dine outside. When I placed my food order, they informed me that if we sat outside and wanted to run a tab, we would need to leave our card at the bar. This seemed like a questionable policy to me. The drinks were priced at £5.75 for a pint of Peroni. The starter I wanted was not available, but I was only told after I had already ordered it and was waiting for my meal. The service was pleasant, polite, and attentive. However, the food was underwhelming and nothing special. Overall, I left feeling very disappointed and probably won't be returning."

"Generally lacking in ambience; landlady unsmiling. Decor drab grey, poor lighting. Tables need flowers or candles. No bread offered, had to ask. Service slow, even though only three tables occupied. A diner on next table said hats off to the chef, he/she has managed to cook a Sunday lunch and removed all the taste . We agree. Vegetables clearly came from freezer, at a time when the whole country is knee deep in wonderful fresh produce! Gravy, a sort of orange colour, was packet, no use of meat juices to add flavour. Overall, a sad little pub appearing to be a bit tired with staff going through the motions. Not sure why they 've added the phrase 'wine bar ', which it really isn 't!"

"After searching online for a location between Market Harborough and Burbage this was a little gem. The young gentleman that met me on arrival was very polite, helpful and informative. He took my order for a drink at the bar and offered to bring it to me in the lounge which was a lovely touch. My friend arrived and immediately he arrived to ask her for her order for a drink. It was pasta night but could also order from the a la carte menu. There was a good choice and offered good value for money. We ordered fish and chips and a carbonara whilst sitting in the lounge. We were informed when the food was ready and were offered further drinks once seated. The dining area and lounge were both decorated very tastefully very comfortable. A lovely quiet atmosphere. My friend and I really enjoyed our food. The fish was very fresh, tasty and very well presented. My Carbonara was very tasty and creamy and a good portion for a lady. We also had a dessert fruit and chocolate brownie which were equally well presented and tasty. Thank you to you all we will return."

"Delicious! I had the caramelized onion quiche and it came with three very nice, fresh salads. The quiche was beautifully flavored and cooked, with a wonderful crust. My husband had the mezze platter and judging from the sounds coming from his side of the table, he was pretty happy with it!! We sat outside under the big tree and soaked up the lovely market square view. Each plate was about 10 UKP which we thought was really good value for money. I'd come back tomorrow if I could and I'd 100% have the quiche again."

"I went to the cafe after finding it online specifically for the vegan cinnamon buns on a Saturday. There were none left by the time we got there and the lovely lady offered to make me some and to come back in 1 hour They were delicious, such friendly service. I'm intolerant to dairy and eggs so it was the first time I'd eaten pastry in a long time. This was a very special experience, made better by the wonderful staff. Next time I will pre order the buns! Thoroughly recommend."

"I had heard good things about bia rebel, which was just opened on ormeau road. from their online menu I identified a dish that seemed vegetarian and could probably be vegan/ veganized. on Wednesday, the 4th april 2018, you have the chance to taste bia at an early lunch. this is really a takeaway, no restaurant, but there are about six seats on the window when they want to sit in. I ordered the miso ramen (miso broth, tofu, napa cabbage, kombu, shittake mushroom). bia nudels are freshly handmade every day and the difference shows. the miso ramen was absolutely beautiful with magnificent, fresh, living aromas a delicious, filling eating. I was glad to discover that they also have a few vegan salad bowls with a third cold nudelsalate on the way. so limited vegan options regarding ramen, but decent salad options, fantastic aromen, fair prices and hearty portions. will definitely return."

"The food at this restaurant is delicious; however, despite my specific request to have the meat on the side, they still put it in my taco. I even tipped them in advance, but they still got it wrong."
