Loved the food but on the day we went, the heating had failed so we ate with our coats on! Hopefully that will have been sorted out so the next time is good.

I was rang from the white Lyon on the morning before I was to go to cancel my table as they did not do meals on this day the 1st April. Very disappointed having booked a week before the date and there had been plenty of time to let me know earlier. Not a very good customer experience. C. Norman

Unfortunately, we ate at the White Lion on an evening when they were short staffed. It's a shame they didn't warn us when we arrived. We waited for 25 minutes to see a menu, then waited an hour for the starter to arrive. Between starter and main course was 30 minutes. Had to remind the waiter 3 times that we had ordered water. A shame it was such a bad experience, as the food was good.
