"a first visit in this restaurant in plüsch mayfair. at the arrival they were warmly welcomed and welcomed by friendly staff. full marks here. they were properly sitting and served with a basket of different miniskule brot with butter. not sufficient for a table of 6. no refilling or even asking if one was required. a lot of drinks were ordered before eating. it took 3 requests for the drinks to finally arrive, although the bottle sparkling water was very fast. for the net I ordered the set roast beef sirloin lunch and possibly this would have been a very fine meal. there was a pretty waiting time until the main thing is served. the 2 slices of bark and the yorkshire pudding and crusty bratkartoffels looked very well presented and appetizing, although the bark was intermittently fat and chewing – with gristle somewhere in there. very disappointing in the did and out of the perceiving of the customer, this type of bark corresponds to a thing, and that is cheap / bad quality bark meat. they get 2 slices of roast beef and they would hopefully expect to eat the bark meat without fat and chewiness and it was certainly not warm or hot. the yorkshire pudding was large and airy, but was cold and probably left to lie after boiling. the brat potatoes were crunchy, but much too salty. the selection of vegetables was in order, but they were served stingy portions as they were divided under 3 beef diners. a bit misleading, as the picture of the Brat dinner would recommend that they get individual portions of side-narrow. after lunch I needed a 2 draws of ice much. the ice cream flavor was good, but the 3 pieces were very simple and could not justify this amount. I have the tasty with celestial and lemon curd sauces that were nice to taste. the restaurant was full with a good ambiente and the exit itself is very nicely located in a very expensive and plush area of london. that was, if I had expected a high-quality meal that I feared was not the case. the overall experience was expensive and in no way was it a good value for money. No one makes it to pay more than usual to go and eat, but at the same time they expect to get quality!"

"I used to really like Skylon it was somewhere you took someone for a special treat a real destination. But times have changed, there is so much more competition around I can’t help feeling that Skylon has faded a little. It still has potential; it still could be great, but on this occasion, it fell short of the mark. Maybe it was just the January blues, or maybe because most people were probably dining on the ES offer menu, but the staff seemed tired and lacking in energy, food service was very slow, and little touches were missing (for example, water wasn’t topped up, and even when we asked, it took over 10 minutes). Our starters were nice almost worth waiting for! and it felt like the mains could have been nice they were well cooked, and generous with ingredients, but all incredibly salty especially the risotto. Such a shame, because this really let it down I managed to eat around half (alongside some bread to offset the saltiness), but then gave up. I hate food waste, so asked if I could take away the rest (a small spoonful with some salad would have done us for lunch the next day). But apparently this is not possible at Skylon... this also shocked me... I’ve not encountered anywhere for a long time which wouldn’t accommodate a “doggy bag” (occasionally places have charged for a box, or occasionally the packaging has been a little makeshift, but people have always been happy to help). As a venue, it’s still nice has a great view, so with a bit of a shake up could be great again, but I won’t go back unless I hear that things have changed."

"Me, my partner and his mum decided to go out for a nice meal. We decided to go to frankie bennies as its somewhere we haven't been for a while. I made the reservation online for when we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely and pleasant young lady who showed us to our table. The restaurant had a large party in, and a couple of smaller tables, but was rather quiet, and had a nice ambiance. Shortly after being seated, we were greeted by a young man called Tyler, who was our waiter for the evening. The food and drinks were very good, although I asked for a rare steak, it was more closer to medium, but still tasted good. As we finished our main course, we asked for a box to take the rest of of the meals home with us, and as he brought the box over, he asked if we'd like the bill, assuming that everyone at the table had finished, but then I asked for more drinks, and the dessert menu. At first I thought everything was fine, and that nothing was too much trouble. As the evening went on, the restaurant emptied, and we were the last table in, as the restaurant states it is open till I didn't think there would be any problem. As we were eating our desserts, we overheard conversations between the waiting staff, moaning about waiting for us to finish, and how they wanted to go home, it was barely at this point. We felt very uncomfortable at this point, we didn't finish our drinks before we left. When the waiters that were moaning went outside the front for their cigarette, we felt this was our opportunity to leave, I went up to the pleasant young lady who seated us, and asked for our bill, and paid with her, I don't like going to a restaurant without leaving a gratuity, but being made to feel so unwelcome, I decided not to... we explained the situation to the young lady, who was very understanding of the whole situation. Despite the rather bad ending, we did enjoy our food."
