"Try and avoid busy times, we went on a Thursday evening and didn’t realise you can only have the table for 1.5hrs. We had our plates whisked away as soon as the last mouthful taken and immediately asked if we’d like dessert. When we declined dessert we were told we’d have to vacate our table soon and 10 minutes later had a waiter at our table with a card reader machine! Not the most relaxing dinners with a friend but the shepherds pie was delicious. We did give feedback and were offered a drink at the bar and advised to come back at a weekend or lunchtime when it isn’t so busy."

"Sakonis offers Indian vegetarian food with some Indo Chinese options and is located on Ealing Road, now for quite some time a predominantly Gujarati area of London, with its menu largely reflecting its local customer base. The restaurant is relatively large and this was our second visit in as many months. Last month we were able to walk in and dine without a reservation but this time we had a reservation for the six of us, which was a wise decision because there were queues at times that we observed. While the buffet seemed extremely popular (especially for the soft ice cream! and our server encouraged us to avail of the buffet, not unsurprisingly, we opted for a la carte a decision that we did not regret. The Sakonis website is very modern and loads quickly, offering modern and well taken photographs of some of the dishes. The mogo chips were one of the starters that we ordered and were well made, a little crispy around the edges, soft in the middle, with a spicy sauce that was right at the cusp. We also ordered the palak paneer and the paneer butter masala, both of which were excellent. Of the two I would say that the latter was a little more flavoursome a surprise since I love spinach perhaps the palak paneer could have been a little more spicy. But the star of the show was surely the bathuras that came with those particular large plates (options also included naan and puri . In fact they were so popular with our group that we ordered an additional four and although they took rather long to arrive, when we compared our fresh, hot bathuras that lingered on the buffet table getting cold, we were sure that we had made the right decision. We also ordered a hakka noodles but that was rather insipid both in look and taste although we could see plenty of diners ordering the Indo Chinese dishes. The masala tea was just alright not nearly as good as Dishoom's for example, but the inclusion of a Parle G biscuit is a cute touch. Service was great even if the late order of bathuras was rather slow. Ria was particularly helpful. We plan to visit again in the summer."

"Thoroughly enjoyed this gem of an authentic experience. We picked it in a bit of a hurry, based solely on the positive reviews, without really looking in any detail and were surprised upon arriving reviewing the menu to discover only then that it is a vegetarian/vegan only restaurant. To be honest, we probably wouldn 't have gone had we realized ahead of time but we are so glad that we did. The owner is a charming and engaged gentleman, knowledgeable passionate about his offerings that passion certainly comes through in the quality flavour of the dishes. Being largely unfamiliar with many of the options, we invited him to select dishes for us we were not disappointed. Each was delightfully fresh flavourful, including some new to us versions of familiar dishes some totally new experiences. The setting is comfortable unassuming, with some parking right outside the owner all of the rest of the staff there were wonderful and the cost of the meal was surprisingly good value for money. We were all thoroughly impressed so glad we 'accidentally stumbled ' across Curry Culture we are very much looking forward to repeat visits going forward."

"I think it's part of the Mercure George Hotel and yet it's tucked away in a separate side building. It's fairly dark inside but sufficiently clean. You have to place your order at the till and collect the cutlery, napkin, water jug and glass from the side counter. The food is brought to your table when ready. The menu is mostly popular street food dishes which is authentic and flavoursome. They also provide a takeaway service. There is a selection of prepacked snacks and sweets available for takeaway. Sometimes they have Indian Bollywood music playing in the background but it lacks the ambience and a warm welcome from the staff. The price is reasonable. Bhel Puri House is within easy access from the Oracle."

"this must be one of the best restaurant experiences I had in a long time! at first entering the restaurant gives them the atmosphere/ atmosphere a feeling that I will enjoy this, I am glad that I came. fantastic decoration comfortable seating, nice warm welcome to these dark cold winter nights. the employees are also warm, are not over the tip on ease. as my first experience in Indian street food (at favorable street food prices) they were great to make the recommendations of the first timer. eating was incredibly good to be a typical British secretine when it comes to Indian food, I always play a safe stick on a traditional Indian meat dish. 20 minutes in my wonderful dinning experience it dawns on me that I have stereotypical vegetarian foods that contain cherry pears that I usually avoid that I had not ordered meat or fish dishes. I was glad to discover that they do not need meat to enjoy good food (although available) as a native I will return again. they know that they are successful when they advise when they come in advance on a Friday or Saturday evening book 2 weeks!"
