"Hunters chicken ordered, but when it arrived only 3 minutes later !!! , it was dry and tasteless. Waitress said they would inform the chef ?? , there was no feedback! Not recommended at all. Edit: I can't be held responsible if your server didn't tell your chef. I said the chicken was dry and tasteless, not the pulled pork. If the chicken was already precooked, then kept warm, it will invariably dry out. The description of the dish on the menu also said smothered in cheese, but you must have a different meaning to smothered than I do."

"Pleasant surroundings and decent atmosphere. The starter was nice but main course was quite bland even though it 's described as medium spice on the menu. Don 't order the bottled Kingfisher beer (unless you like flat beer). I asked them to take it back and replace it. Guess what? The replacement bottle also showed no life.. the waiter couldn 't understand why my complaint was justified. The draught beer was better. The service provided by the waiters is mixed. I had two waiters, the girl was nice, smiled and spoke pleasantly. The guy there was a bit rude, a little abruptly spoken and never smiled! The reason why I 'm writing this feedback was the icing on the cake at the end of...read more"

"It has been a while since we visited, because of the pandemic and isolation. Enjoyed a first class meal here again. The food was excellent. Nice regional dishes which were full of flavours. Staff helpful, and the owner friendly. He came over to our table and was chatting, made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be back, and soon"

"We booked a children’s party here for ten kids through groupon. Booking wasn’t very straightforward as the member of staff didn’t know what we were talking about. We never received any confirmation of booking either. Once we got there we were shown the tables available...for us and the two bowling lanes. We were the only customers in the place so having ten kids for a party should of been easy. First off the constant nagging from the female member of staff put a real damper on the day. Kids are noisy, they run around bearing in mind it’s a kids party. This member of staff was at my side every five minutes complaining about one thing or another. The bowling alley wasn’t great,at one stage the ball actually rolled back up the alley. The food is unlimited on the groupon with pasta, chips and pizza available. The kids were hungry and ate well but we didn’t need anymore food. There were a few left over slices of pizza which I offered to the adults. The female member of staff actually took the pizza out of my mums hand saying it was for the kids, took it away and binned it. When she came to complain to me again I actually told her to leave me alone and requested the manager. There were a few complaints from us about the way the staff behaved and when I discussed this with the manager he just blamed the staff. When I explained that I’m an avid trip adviser reviewer he tried to bribe me with a free game if I gave a good review. It’s a great deal on the face of it but it was a total nightmare. I even opened a tab and spent on top of the party cost as I know the business doesn’t make a profit from groupon, this included food for the adults. The male member of staff behind the bar was fantastic."

"This was my first ever experience at Tangawizi which has been established for 18 years. I must say that the overall experience was AMAZING. I went along with my friend who loves his non-vegetarian dishes and I am a vegetarian. So he ordered the lamb chops and king prawns for his starters, whereas I went for the vegetarian platter along with passion fruit mojito. The starters quantity was quite generous and we thought that we may not be able to finish them but surprisingly we polished everything off, as they were exceptionally delicious. The restaurant owner Karim Meghji personally recommended these dishes and I must say that time to time their staff came to offer service, which was great to see. We then ordered our mains which was Chicken Masaledar, Baingan Bharta (aubergine), Dal Makhani with garlic naan, saffron rice and tandoori roti. The quality of breads, rice and dishes was superb with balanced flavours. Finally, we ended our meal with a scoop of Ginger Stem ice cream, again recommended by the owner. I would love to go back with my family soon."

"Have been to the other two branches in London many times, and the food of a similar standard here very good. I struggle to believe the negative reviews I've never had a bad meal at any branch of Woodlands, and can't really understand how anyone could come here and not enjoy it, unless they either fundamentally didn't like Indian food, or had a very blinkered sense of what it should be and weren't prepared to be open minded enough to have a meal without meat. I think the Woodlands restaurants display some of the most intelligent use of spices of any Indian restaurant I've been to, and as a vegetarian the variety on offer is a delight. The South Indian dosas are also an interesting addition to more familiar Indian dishes found elsewhere in the UK. It was a bit dead on the Sunday lunchtime when we visited but that suited us just fine."

"An absolutely amazing restaurant. The staff and management are very polite, friendly and approachable. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, clean, bright and colourful. More importantly the toilets are very clean and fully equipped with toilet rolls and soap. Myself, my family and friends have never had a bad meal there. We always look forward to dining in Panas. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Twickenham."

"My husband and I had a date night dinner , The lamb Biryani and Saag Aloo, were the worst I have ever had. I couldn 't eat the Saag Aloo because it was too hot with whatever they had added, chillies or spices I managed to eat a small amount of the Biryani but again any aromatic flavours were overpowered by the added spices or chillies. My mouth and lips were burning. We didn 't eat all of the meal. I would have told the waitress when we paid the bill if she had bothered to ask if we enjoyed the meal. We have been there before but there should not be such inconsistency with the flavour of the food. We will vote with our feet and not bother again. We will stick to the Gurkha in Chatham in future."

"This Indian street food restaurant in Swindon offers delicious and authentic dishes that are highly recommended. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is top-notch. The price per person ranges from £10-£20, making it a great option for dinner. Vegetarians will be pleased with the large selection of vegetarian options available. Overall, a must-try spot for Indian cuisine lovers in the area."

"I have visited this restaurant several times and it was great as always, but the experience was unfortunately marred by a large group of men at the next table who were loud and shouting at each other all evening. This was not the fault of the restaurant, just individuals who lacked proper manners."

"I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for the delicious authentic Nepalese cuisine and charming staff. It’s easy enough to find in a safe, busy backstreet environment and well worth patronising. However, for whatever reason is doesn’t seem to be terrible well patronised MY ADVICE WOULD BE TO USE IT OR LOSE IT."

"Went for the dinner buffet with few friends. It was an absolute treat starting from the ease of booking the place to getting in touch with the staff for a couple of queries. Staff was very well behaved and did everything possible to make the best of our time. Coming to the food, there is a lot of variety for each section, and it's halal (for those who are looking for such option). Tried almost everything till the time there was no more room to get something down the throat and very happy to report that everything was full of taste and quality. A perfect treat for everyone, especially for people from subcontinent region. Didn't get any photos this time but will absolutely get a few next time as I'll surely be going again."

"White tablecloth, scrape the crumbs off the table kind of place, but not stuffy. You can still dress casually. Our waitress provided excellent service, and the food was very solid. We ordered a fish sampler for two (which was an appetizer platter), palak chat, dal makhani, and naan. It was a perfect amount of food for two. The tandoori salmon that was part of the platter was surprisingly delicious."

"The Jolly Butchers was once a great pub. The selection of beers and ciders was second to none, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Not anymore. Gone is the feel of a proper pub which serves food to be replaced by staff greeting you as you enter and attempting to shuffle you towards a table of their choosing. Gone are the groups of local having a knees up, to be replaced by quiet tables of people eating overpriced and underwhelming food. It 's ok for pubs to change and to oppose them focussing more on food is to truly against an overwhelming tide. But pubs needn 't lose their souls, they needn 't have staff waiting to intercept you as you walk through the door. At one visit recently we sat down at a free table, only to be told after quarter of an hour that another group of people had 'reserved ' the table despite their being so sign of that previously and no one mentioning it to us. The fact that this other group was larger, and buying food, might ust have made them better customers than us. It 's with great sadness that I say I won 't be going back to what used to be a favourite pub of mine. I only hope that the few remaining other local gems don 't go the same way."
"The service was friendly and attentive. I was shown to my table and presented with a menu. I ordered pappdoms and a pickle tray. The four pickles were tasty. Cobra and Kingfisher were on draft. I ordered a pint of Cobra but it tasted off so I asked for Kingfisher instead. I was not charged for the Cobra as the waiter agreed it was off. I ordered the Lamb Biryani which came with yogurt raita or curry sauce. It was spicy and the portion was large. My bill came to £17 which I thought was reasonable."
